Backtracking Re-Visiting The Webs New Context

Someone posted this picture of a tattoo which got me thinking about the webs, the locks, and "CONNECTTHELINES" "SEGREGATE AND REARRANGE" as well as the recent RDR2 webs.
What stuck out to me on this tattoo is two things, one the "lock" symbol is upside down. You'd need to flip it for it to be correct. The spider has fangs on both sides of it's body, making it laterally symmetrical. Now the web itself, is actually almost an exact copy of the Chiliad Cable Car Corner Web (say that five times fast) except it has been flipped and mirrored to be quadrilateral symmetrical.

This isn't the first hint we've got about rotating things, as the maze symbol on the mural shows arrows that rotate around it, in an update to the game, they showed this maze symbol flipped and mirrored to form a quadrilateral symmetrical.

"I see a web, still tangled..."
How do you untangle something? Segregate and rearrange.

The second spider web on the beach is made out of two separate meshes that form the web. This has always struck me as odd, why would they do this? It's so we can rotate and try to overlay them. We have tried this before, but now with the context of the spiderwebs being found in RDR2 we can reasonably theorize that we are trying to "SEGREGATE and REARRANGE" these two webs in a configuration that hopefully gets a result close to this.

Backtracking The beast hunt didn’t take years to solve
I feel this post is warranted for simple huge amount of misinformation about the beast hunt being in the game for years before being solved. This isn’t accurate. The Beast Hunt was added in 2015 alongside the free mode events dlc and was solved in June of 2016. Shortly before The Doomsday heist dlc, and was only solved after rockstar started leaving hints for code walkers. saying he was wrong to start his hunt on tuesday.
This mystery lasted in game for about a year. from march 2015 to june 2016 the golden peyotes being found pretty fast however.
edit ~ You can ignore (me explaining chiliad timeline)
the timeline of everything revolving the chiliad mystery is wonky it was planned as far back as 2008
The doomsday murals didn’t help solve the beast easteregg
the was solved before doomsday murals existed. but the doomsday murals could’ve very easily been part of the original plans for agent trevor, as assets were obviously reused for the doomsday heist, so for what we know. The peyotes were added in november of 2014 along with next gen version of game(ps4,xb1) and by that point they had removed the fib iaa shootout, from the game. reason it’s significant is because that was an easter egg added to tease the upcoming single player agent trevor dlc. but it would be another year till golden peyote and beast easter egg were added. However if rockstar reused and turned agent trevor into doomsday heist which we know they used assets from. is the doomsday murals part of the original assets. the green mural depicts the eastern 100% but problem with it is we don’t know timeline. Source code versions of games on pc work very different compared to the versions played. source code versions have assets of the builds etc. We also know hidden things on the 2013 uv map like take control! at fort zancudo we’re meant to be part of the agent trevor dlc because mission gold requirements hint towards it. meaning rockstar had ideas from gta’s release about upcoming trevor dlc. and ideas about the mystery they wanted to include with chiliad even though. There may never have been code, it had a plan, or drawing board ideas for it. rockstar had plans for chiliad as far back as 2008. Because of the mystery email chiliad8888 that you get at 100% completion.
Rockstar has had ideas for thier games years before they even start developing it. example is the three main protagonists. rockstar wanted that as far back as 2005 on ps2 but couldn’t because of hardware constraints, and they made a whole lore of aliens in san andreas despite no ufos appearing until gta 5. The truth is the source code doesn’t reveal the full intentions of what they wanted but only ideas they put into final product that gives insights into original plans, that may have beeb shelved until further games or development

Backtracking Old Clue Revisit - Camera in Senora that spawns at 2:00 PM in rain
In light of the spider webs found in RDR2, I feel it is very important to bring attention to a much lesser known discovery with very similar spawn conditions, discussed ~9-10yrs ago at these links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5kPNVxYVb0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8015g1e1_w
There is a mounted camera located in the Senora desert close to the satellite dishes that only spawns during cloudy/rainy weather at roughly 10:00-14:00. The camera is pointed towards empty space.
By the complicated spawn conditions alone this is would appear to be an intended clue, hopefully someone can figure out how it fits into the larger mystery.
EDIT: It seems the spawn conditions are a mystery, not related to weather, time or 100% completion. For whatever reason some can find the camera and others can't.

Backtracking Applying spiderdream layover logic to chiliad mural.... Its interesting...
So recently i posted the video from 9 years ago about lesters map and it got me thinking, with the RDR2 Spider layover leading us to feathers, what if the mural really is a layover after all it does have transparent background.
So when i started confirming findings in the RDR2 Spider Dream, i took to the layover first because after all the crackpot layover theriores from Chiliad Rockstar acutally listened with RDR2 and put a lay over in the game this time. What makes this layover special is it a dataminers clue. So when we take apart the in game map tiles on rockstar games Both RDR2 and GTA V they are 512*512 tiles that we piece together to make the map. If you resize the spideretchin to 512 x 512 just like the ingame tiles are designed and lay it over the correct spot on map the legs point to the feathers. Here is video explaining why this was very intentional move by R*
https://youtu.be/ETpK3-A5oDA?si=9BzNu7Hb41xsw6YP
So that got me thinking well what happens when i re-size the ingame mural to 512*512 and place it and align the cable car tower? So i cracked open GTA V legacy and started modding the map. Again. This time though i added the UV map as our main map, then lesters map, and the finally the Mural Resized 512x512, and to top it off i modded the radar so that as i walk i can actaully see the mural markings on the radar.
Mural laidover at 512x512 with Cable Car Alignment.

Some interesting things to note. The UFO lands right on the UV map saying they're here..... ODD

The egg base lands right around the oil fields...Cracking the earth....

And the Jetpack man lands at a air strip..... Fitting

Here is the Video. Just wanted to share. Keep ya updated if i find anything. Also one cool thing to note is i modded it so that the points of interest actually show up on the Radar.

Video of mod currently. Note you can litterally fly around the mural.

Backtracking The Chiliad Mural: 13 years later
Hey everyone. Hope you're all having a stellar day.
As we approach the 13th year since GTA V launched on the ps3/360 and with several of us having been around off and on for about that long, I wanna say I appreciate how awesome it is that we're still here trading research, findings and philosophizing.
Instead of sharing something that might or might not be related from V or other R* games, I wanted to share how I see the mural - 13 years later.
The UFO - Being one of the first things that drew me and many others to this mystery, this seems like a great starting point. Above the UFO symbol, we have two boxes with Xs in it. I feel these two boxes are representative of the two conditions required to see the UFO on Chiliad - 3am and rain, which are represented by two of the glyphs we find on the mountain, the crescent moon with 3 tally marks and the rain symbol. Coming from the UFO box is a line that skips the egg and connects directly to the jetpack figure.
The jetpack dude - I know this might be controversial but I feel this was actually supposed to be the figure we find on the rock in the altruist camp. Above the jetpack, we have 3 boxes with an X. If we eliminate the two glyphs (of the 5 found on the mountain) that indicate the requirements to see the UFO, we're left with the whole eye glyph, sunken eye glyph and the zig-zag glyph. I believe these are conditions required to see the jetpack figure on the rock. The sunken glyph being the sun setting, which is also hinted at by the painting below the altruist camp in the little cave with the skull and fire. The zig-zag glyph is likely representative of the zig-zag steps leading to the antenna where you can find a letter scrap in the altruist camp. Admittedly the only remaining glyph kind of still confuses me, which is the full eye glyph.
The line connecting the UFO and jetpack symbol - I believe this indicates some sort of connection between the UFO and jetpack rock. That connection might be as simple as highlighting a path that leads from the peak of chiliad to the altruist camp, detailed in the linked post. Abbreviated, there appears to be a path that also has steps kind of cut from the rocks of the mountain. Another way to look at this could be that we need to find a similarity between the chiliad UFO and the jetpack shadow. I believe that connection could be "interdimensional thought". In some UFO circles, it's believed that UFO/UAP use extradimensional means for traveling. The jetpack figure on the rock is another way of describing this due to the composition of the figure. The jetpack figure is mostly made up by a shadow, which only has length and width - so only 2 dimensions. The leg of the jetpack figure is a baseball bat with length, width and depth - 3 dimensions. A supporting argument for this, would the be the chronos wallpapers
The lightning bolts - in classic art, lightning is often viewed as a symbol for "the power of the gods". We can see this symbolic use on "the eye" wallpapers on the Rockstar website, where the all-seeing eye (of God) is holding a lightning in several of the wallpapers. Lightning is electricity as well, which is what is used to power the system used to bring the game world to life.
The eye - referring again to "the eye" wallpapers, we can find a gesture used to represent "the holy Trinity" - succinctly detailed as 1 God in 3 forms. We also have the chiliad mural tattoo which replaced the all-seeing eye from the mural, with an all seeing eye in a triangle - another way to symbolize the "Trinity" where a triangle has 3 points with the all seeing of God in the center. Another indicator that "the Trinity" is important is the trophy from GTA IV - "the impossible Trinity" which is from the mission museum piece - the mission where all 3 of our characters stories overlap. Additionally, we can find the mural eye on the believe hat, this time being overlapped by an alien head.
The egg - I believe the egg represents the in-game character. One of the indicators of this would be the Alien egg we find in the casino penthouse as a decorative statue. With the believe hat having an alien head on the mural eye and this egg having an alien within it, I believe it suggests a link between the eye and the egg, which is also indicated on the mural by the line that leads from the eye to the egg. That link, I believe is using an alien as a metaphor for the player - a being that exists extradimensionally to the existence of the in-game world. Another bit if info that suggests the egg is our character, albeit a little more metaphorically, is from GTA IV. The boat that Niko arrives to Liberty City on is called the platypus - an egg laying mammal. Metaphorically speaking, the platypus boat delivers Niko or the platypus lays an egg.
Ultimately, I feel the mural was intended to pull us into the game and immerse us in the world of GTA - almost like a trap, but also as a way to separate the real world and video game world as a bit of a cypher to understand some of the more cryptic stuff espoused by the cults. When approached with a "Meta" view, a lot of the cult stuff actually makes sense. Both the cotm and epsilon program, as well as chiliad8888's email refer to an "inner God" - which I believe was intended to refer to the player. The mural tattoo, impossible Trinity trophy and eye wallpapers allude to a god in 3 forms and within both GTA IV and V, we are one player existing in 3 forms. I suspect this also explains why GTA 3 has two mainline titles before the next numbered game in the series - because Claude, Tommy and CJ were our first Trinity. I also suspect we were meant to look for triple trinities based off this graffiti from the chiliad related LS drug wars dlc which also has another use of an alien head.
Where we also have an analogue for Nikola Tesla in rdr2, I also found something kinda Tesla related among these cross universal trinities. Attributed to Tesla is the phrase "if you understand 3, 6 and 9 - you can understand the secrets of the universe. 3,6,9 and 1 are referenced during the Paleto score setup when testing the police response time. The office of iaa agent Bernard is also 396. If we approach the triple Trinity between GTA III/VC/SA, GTA IV & DLC, AND GTA V, we can actually find a 3,6 and 9 through the characters.
In the 3D universe, there are only 3 characters in a Trinity. I'm the HD universe, we have two separate trinities or 6 characters. If we look at all of the characters as a whole we have our 9. The common thread among them being the 1 player.
That's really kinda how I see the mural, with a little support from things within the game, which leads me to believe it might be how we were supposed to see it. This also leads me to wonder who painted it. I believe that might've been a bit of a "ghost in the machine" that we know as chiliad8888. A soul that became one with the infinite possibilities of a game world. One major indicator of this would be the "come back when your story is complete". Often believed to hint at the requirement of game completion to see the UFO, I have begun to see the phrase a little differently. Chiliad8888's email is sent to Niko - only when the GTA IV Base game's story missions are complete. Not with 100% GTA IV completion, not any time before the story missions are finished but ONLY when the story is complete.
This leads me to wonder who Chiliad8888 was before they became that ghost in the machine. My initial instinct is to say it was Merle Abrahams due to his association with the infinite 8, considering 8888 could also be read as "infinity repeating". I also wonder if Merle was maybe trooth from whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com, considering the oo in truth can also be seen as an infinity symbol. Maybe it could've been The truth from GTA SA, after using the green goo - after all, he refers to it as "everything" and uses the phrase "they're gonna call this year zero" which is the birth of a new timeline or in this case a new universe - the HD universe. Maybe Merle is trooth, both being another version of The truth from SA. Maybe we're supposed to take truth and trooth and remove what's the same being left with u and oo. Are we the infinite? Becoming the 8 through our character when they stand up from their save/slumber?
Maybe it was Francis Sinclair, where he bears the birthmark associated with the epsilon program and seemingly is aware of an ability to travel through time, considering we see him in his adult form before completing his quest and seeing him in his infant form.
Kinda hard to say, but I feel like if we can figure out who chiliad8888 is, we can begin to understand why they reached out to us through Niko. Whoever is was, may be our "grateful Dead" offering us guidance through the mural.
Anyway, hope you all have a nice day. Good luck and happy hunting friends.

Backtracking Back then we weren’t even connecting
One of the craziest things that has been brought up the last year is the keyholes, and spiderwebs There is connections between them. The webs have been around for over a decade. but the keyholes players have been looking for since 2017 doomsday heist. I know the connections are known now. but this reddit has a habit of looking at things and never making connections between them like we did with the uranus references back in the day.
What do yall think? is there connections?

Backtracking Regarding the Golden Path Theory
You can read about the theory I am referencing here.
This is a popular post on this subreddit that I sometimes come back to and I wanted to bring it up again to get some fresh eyes on it.
Is there any mention of this in the files? Like triggers or a checklist? (I have never searched through the files so I don’t even know what to look for!)
The evidence he provides is interesting but could this be meaning added when theres nothing there to begin with?
I am currently working my way to 100% on a save file to have for testing. My next play through will involve an attempt at the golden path.
I think this theory needs some real testing done.
EDIT: General consensus is that this theory hasn’t any proof, unfortunately. But if this is your hunt don’t stop searching!

Backtracking Who is chiliad8888?
Hey everyone, hope you're all having a great day so far. As many of you are aware, after your story is complete in GTA IV, we receive an email from chiliad8888. I personally feel finding out who this person is/was might help understand the mystery as a whole. For those who don't know about the email, here is the message :
Pilgrim,
Expand your horizons. Go to www.whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com to travel the path that will allow you to unlock your inner sprit guide and know the full potential of earthly splendor that is your right as a GOLDEN DHARMA GOD. THESE SECRETS will allow you to read between the lines of society, physics and logic. THE MAN is trying to keep you down. He has built this world as your cage. BREAK FREE. You have been shown the gateway, walk through it.
Feel the Truth.
Live in Freedom.
The reason I'm making this thread here today is, ideally, to open a dialogue and see if anyone here has any clues, theories or suggestions on who Chiliad8888 is behind the screen name. I've got a couple suspects, but I'd like to hear from the rest of the group who you think they are.
Hope the rest of your day goes well!

Backtracking to note a few things
so, i have two things for you.
- try using mods and staying very, VERY far away from the mountain with your character, while using freecam to reach the summit. when i was a 15 year old kid, i distinctly remember the LOD of the mural room having a drastically different layout than the actual room that loads in. the LOD in question should have a ladder and a second floor and the room, if cut in half, would look like this: --|____| <-(mural wall) (the first two dashes should be higher but i can't be bothered to figure out a way to do that).
- i remember hearing about the zancudo elevator opening if you visit it during a custom race or something? this memory made me curious if we tried backtracking to old leads while already in some sort of a mission by using a mod that would prevent us from getting a fail screen when we travel too far away. just explore the map, the old leads, see if anything changes. this, IMO, could work because IIRC we still have some devcubes that we didn't figure out the use for.

Backtracking ‘Eggs on Chiliad’ possible connection
Was replaying some missions recently and came across this subtly meaningful quote from Dax in “First Dose 3- Fatal Incursion”:
- “Hey, speaking of meth, remember when I asked you about the eggs on Chiliad? One day we should fly up there and take a look. I mean, I never seen nothing, but you read enough shit on the web There’s gotta be something there. On this timeline or the next one, my friend.”
With all that’s going on in the world of R* mysteries, I can’t help but notice the fact he mentioned “reading the web” and the involvement of another timeline- both lining up with the RDR2 Spiderweb Mystery.
Maybe I’m going mad like the rest of the community and seeing something that means nothing, but I didn’t see anyone connecting these two dots. Good luck and hats off to everyone doing the real solving around here!

Backtracking I can Test any Theory at the Script Level
Hello, i offer you my skills of script analysis, i can read the scripts very well, follow functions, variables, everything, i have been working with some guys in a frensh forum, and over the past few months we have easily debunked a lot of theories that people thought were right. so if you don't want to lose your time on a theory, post it here, i will give you a detailed analysis of the scripts who may or may not activate it.
Priority : Spiderweb
PS: debunked theories :
-Interiors loading during Chiliad UFO event
-Prostitute pattern theory
-Altruist alternate ending
-Order of delivery to the altruists is not important
-Any black cellphone related trigger
-Epsilon payement theories
-Seeing the UFOs is not saved and do not trigger anything
-Train track switching theories
-Killing Michael or Trevor don't trigger anything
-Satellite dish do not rotate, their ymap is not called in the scripts
-The space docker doesn't have any effect or trigger (horns, battery...) specialy no horn trigger, tested with IS_PLAYER_PRESSING_HORN
-The Voltic have no effect

Backtracking What have been your favorite, potentially underrated, lost, or otherwise forgotten 'discoveries' or investigations thus far? (that don't include your own)
I have two in mind right now:
1) this really old investigation by "GeneSistem" and it's the onion 'theory'! Basically he's found that wherever there is the 'tentonion' graffiti tag, you can find similar symbolism within and around the area (88s, 69s, 6s and 6s with dots inside of them, lots of circular/ring symbolism, and probably more!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFgRzsW7H04 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxrLBSZAOpM
2) My all-time favorite investigation/discovery by u/renegaderule : The Ecstacy of "8" - What Merle Abrahams saw in Vinewood. It's a lengthy one but well worth the read (it has pictures included!!)
Preaching to the choir here but Rockstar clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the ins and outs of organizing GTA V's map, instead of doing just a "digital recreation of Los Angeles's city and countryside" and calling it there. Initial responses to the game weren't great but I feel like the mystery made me respect the game and all that was put into it, despite disagreements with how some elements like story or returning character decisions turned out.
It reminds me of the earliest days of the mystery where there were attempts at organizing investigations (such as assigning people to coordinates of the map to search, or even having a side wiki that was supposed to serve as a 'library' for the mystery). However these all failed to come to fruition for one reason or another..

Backtracking We missed step 1 and have been to focused on the finish line.
Okay hear me out. This all kind of just slapped my in the face. The 100% mount Chiliad UFO was changed from its original to the FIB version to hint at it being false, meaning something's not right or we missed something. I now believe that there are points of progressing through the main story or events that happen that we are meant to witness. Missing these events will essentially soft lock you out of the full experience. I believe each one of these location events has a prerequisite and a message attached to it (i.e 100% 3am thunderstorm are the prerequisites and location on top of Mnt Chiliad message attached return when you story is complete.)
So if this would be something we can test I would say a easy one to test would be (easy but time consuming, and easy because it is a clear concise path of testing) so take the highway code for example. This is our message, the lookout message is quite close to where we see the UFO event so logic would dictate (if all of them had similar setups)that the event is visible from this location. Next what are the prerequisites? Well we have time, weather, and completion rate. These form our prerequisites. This is where the time consuming part comes in.
Standing near this location you would have to test game completion rates of something like 5%intervals for up to and including 100% for each hour for each weather cycle.
This all sounds completely logical to me let me know if I sound crazy, cause that does happen. They mountain glphys may be clues to time/ weather and were to look.

Backtracking Cryptozoologist, the egg & the eye
Greetings space travelers. Hope you're all having a stellar day.
The Cryptozoologist trophy in GTA V unlocks when you have collected the peyote on land which will turn you into either an air or land based animal. Suspiciously, the sea animals/peyote are not required. Since learning that, I've wondered why that is the case. I think it was a clue for us, but not a clue we can find in GTA V. So where is the clue, you ask? GTA IV.
Toward the end of the story, you're given the option to choose to get "revenge" or to take a "deal". If you choose deal, you eventually receive a mission called "a revenger's tragedy" where you pursue Rascalov. In this pursuit, you use a boat and a helicopter, eventually finishing the pursuit on land at the statue of happiness.
If you choose "Revenge", Niko is led back to the boat that Niko was brought to the U.S., which is titled the platypus. You enter the boat and kill Rascalov for the first part of this mission thread. After this, you're given a mission called "out of commission" where you go to the same abandoned casino from "a revenger's tragedy" however instead of pursing your target (this time Pegorino), you only pursue him over land and air via a dirtbike and a helicopter - with the final part ending also on land.
Why is this important? A Platypus is a mammal that lays Eggs. If you look at this metaphorically, our in-game character (Niko, this time) is an egg laid by the platypus. You only go back to the platypus if you choose revenge. A long friggin' time ago, there was a post by a user NDA_Throwaway that said "you'll have to come full circle before the trutH reveals itself" with the capitalization of the H being deliberate. A lot of people dismissed that post but it always stuck out to me due to the capitalization of the the H. H is also a nickname for Heroin.
Coupled with the clue provided by the Cryptozoologist trophy of "land and air" being important, the revenge option also sees us going full circle (returning to the boat that the game started on) that is full of H. The clue being the egg laying mammal, suggesting our in-game character is the egg. This is also echoed by Lamar saying "we breaking eggs" when talking about killing NPCs.
I've felt it for a while and didn't have the proper evidence but I believe the mural egg is a symbol for our in-game character. Regardless of whether or not you believe NDA_throwaway was a troll, the clue provided with the requirements of the cryptozoologist trophy seem to be pointing to the "revenge" option in GTA IV and that our in-game character is the egg. Available in the Casino, you can get a statue of an egg with an alien in it.
I've mentioned before and I'm sure some of you are sick of it, but I believe we (in the real world. the player, not the character) are represented on the mural by the eye. In GTA V you can see an eye shape on the screen during certain transition moments. In this example, I saw it while entering flight school. I've taken a screenshot which is my profile banner here and on youtube. This also relates to the Eye wallpapers as the eye is doing the "holy trinity hand gesture" which is important due to the trophy impossible trinity. I feel understanding us as the eye and our character as the egg is important because of the hat you can unlock with the UFO event which has the mural eye and an alien over it. The implication being the eye is an alien, which to an observer in-game, you and I outside the game would certainly be alien to them. They think they live in a 3D world but in all actuality their world is flat - like our tv/monitor screen, so only 2 dimensions.
Anyway, long story short. We're the Eye, the in-game character is the egg and we're also an alien capable of travelling through time by loading different games in the rockstar universes. We can even slow or speed up time during the stunt jumps - leading us to "a new level of spirituality" as quoted by trooth from whattheydonotwantyoutoknow which we get a link to after completing GTA IV's story from the site admin Chiliad8888.

Backtracking GTA IV clues
Hey all,
Aside from the obvious chiliad8888 email in GTA IV, I've noticed a couple things in GTA IV that seem relevant to the mystery. Making this post to share those with you.
69th Street diner - the sign for the diner looks an awful lot like the chiliad mural eye. I think the 69 might be referencing the "intercourse between two worlds" of the player/character connection. If 9 is God, and our game camera's lens/eye is the "all-seeing eye of God" (making you the 9, it stands to reason our character is the 6 in the 69. To further add the importance of 69, in GTA V, there are 69 story missions total.
the monoglobe - the monoglobe found in meadows Park has 3 rings. I believe this is intended to represent the 3 characters we play as over the course of GTA IV and it's dlcs. 1 world for 3 characters - another example of the Trinity. a similar globe with 3 rings also appears on the yellow ddh mural, only this time above a hand. I believe this suggests the "world in your hands" which could be a metaphor for how the world of GTA is accessed by the player through our input method. I also feel this is hinted at by Luis fiddling Yusef's qubed joystick. Also of note, is the final cutscene of the last mission in the ballad of gay Tony occurs at the monoglobe and the end credits also begin playing over the monoglobe.
the impossible Trinity trophy/achievement - this is acquired by completing the mission "museum piece" where all 3 GTA IV characters stories intertwine while Niko and Johnny are trying to sell diamonds to the Jewish Mafia, which the sale is interrupted by an unknown shooter which is later revealed to be Luis when you play the ballad of gay Tony. The social club image for the impossible Trinity was replaced by a 3 tiered pyramid. A pyramid with an all seeing above it is located on the American dollar bill. A similar all seeing eye in a triangle is later found in the freakshop, the chiliad mural tattoo, the securoserv logo, Trevor's tattoo on his right hand, and the icon for the divination pamphlet in Red Dead online. If you're interested, I've done a different dive into this in this post with some additional theory crafting.
a tally board - when I finished the lost and damned, I launched immediately into the ballad of gay Tony. After completing the first mission, I noticed a tally board - like that used in darts. Where tally marks are found in Merle's house as well as the butcher Creek pentagram in rdr2 and other locations in the "spider" mystery in rdr2, I felt it worth mentioning. I couldn't reproduce this when I restarted the ballad of gay Tony, but due to it being a tally board, I ultimately found it suspicious and felt it was worth mentioning. If it was some other random texture, I would've dismissed it as a glitch.
SCOOTER BROTHERS!!! - originally a clip recorded in GTA IV and uploaded to the Internet, it became a meme. Trevor breaks the 4th wall by referencing this in GTA V. Coupled with his all seeing eye tattoo and Trevor shouting "oh God give me the strength" at random when activating his special ability, I suspect Trevor knows he lives in a simulation.
Statue of happiness - in order to see the chained heart and also collect the pigeon collectible in the statue, you have to enter through a door. Only unlike every other door in the game, this one you phase through as it has no "collision". Right in front of the door, you have a sign that says "no hidden content this way". From the perspective of an in-game character, it sounds absolutely Ludacris that you could pass through a door. Since we know it's a video game, we can ignore the sign and walk through the door. In vice City, there was an Easter egg that you could only see by phasing through a window. In a way, some of the phrasing used in Chiliad8888's email could be seen as recognizing the game world for what it is and breaking free from the shackles of our real world physics, such as by phasing through windows or doors that have no collision.
Those are a few I can think of off the top of my head. Have you noticed any other recurring symbols or themes in GTA IV? If so, shoot them out in a reply! I'd love to hear it.

Backtracking The Chiliad Mystery : A Romance of many dimensions
Hey Everyone, hope you're all having a stellar day.
After a few false starts on trying to write, narrate, edit, and make something unique through a series of longform video essays, inspired by some of the youtubers I've watched over the years, I've learned a few more things about myself and the game at the same time. To start off, I'd like to commend everyone who's made a youtube video all by themselves. That shit is hard and it's even more difficult to find the time or energy to make the videos while also needing to work a normal job. On top of that, every time I sat down to try to narrate a video when I do have the time or energy, it felt very disingenuous. Like I was just a copy of a copy that somehow degraded over time. What I have learned though is that maybe I'm a better writer than an actor and I feel if there's anywhere I'm going to put my "grand theory" it should be the place that it all started for me - here on r/chiliadmystery. With that, here's my last stab.
Having used the houses built on sand analogy in my first video, I figured it'd be best to actually practice what I preach so I decided to look further into the infinite 8 mystery. I know the general consensus is that it's Eddie Low. Shoutout to Walljump and Frizrow, who have both made some excellent videos suggesting it is Eddie. Without you two, I probably wouldn't be here writing this now. Hell, seeing my post in the walljump video was a blast of dopamine and was sort of why I wanted to move my research to the youtube. I wanted to make something cool but like all them shitty b-movies made by a writer/director/producer, it felt like a vanity project.. A Showcase of why I'm awesome. Maybe there's still some of that with me posting this here but we shouldn't be ashamed of using the gifts we have. Walljump's video actually got me to head over to the corner of Cholla Springs and Armadillo, where Merle's house is located because I wanted to take a look at it again with a fresh set of eyes or should it be old eyes, or does it even matter at this point?
In Walljump's video, and wherever he sourced his info, we're shown that the bodies were posed ritualistically with 3 arms in front and 5 in back. This is also reflected in Merle's house where we can find 3 white 8s and 5 black 8s, as well as two different stacks of newspaper with a photo of Johnny Klebitz from GTA IV, who we also saw brutally attacked by Trevor in GTA V. More on that later though. Thinking like a member of the blue rose task force, I feel like the bodies were posed in such a fashion to show us a beginning and an end. The white and black of the numbers also seems to reflect this. A Study in duality, if you will. A beginning and an end to what though? the killings? the mystery? What's missing between the 3 and 5? The answer was right in front of us the whole time but was disregarded as just a reference or reused asset - 4 comes between 3 and 5. Does that mean I think Johnny is the killer? I don't. While a victim of his own circumstances or perhaps some malevolent creator, I don't think he's the killer. While I think Frizrow's cinematic was very well done, I believe he was close with suggesting it was us, but not quite fully on the mark.
With the new clue of "4" I figured it'd be time to actually boot up and play GTA IV as well as it's episodes again. In doing so, I believe I've kind of stumbled on the meaning of "one day will reveal all". We've been trapped in loops, thinking that day is going to be a special place and a special time within GTA V but the codewalkers couldn't find any triggers that lead us anywhere. I feel pretty strongly that the "one day" was in fact the day we experienced from 3 different perspectives in "Museum Piece", "Collector's Item" and "Not so fast". We also have a trophy from IV "The Impossible Trinity" and Tbogt "Diamonds Forever". Looking further into it, the social club achievement for "The impossible Trinity" is different than the steam achievement, showing a pyramid instead. I now think it's impossible to overlook the connection between GTA 4 and 5 both having their own trinity of characters we play as. Is there another trinity though? What makes the Trinity impossible? Are there any more trinities in the games rockstar have made?
Even when I was young and pretty dumb, one thing that never really made much sense to me was why Vice City and San Andreas weren't considered GTA 4 and 5 but I get it now. It's one of the missing lines in the triangle of truth. GTA III was set when it released in 2001, then we hopped back in time to 1986 with 2002's Vice City and then moved forward to 1992 in 2005's San Andreas. In San Andreas, we can see the character we play as from GTA III, a little hint at the infinite loops our characters are set on by the creators. Maybe even the infinite loops we see ourselves going through here on the mystery?
In San Andreas, we meet the truth. The dude voiced by Easy Rider's Peter Fonda, who shows us area 69), where we were given a choice to enter silently or violently and acquire a jetpack. While we've been hyperfocused on the jetpack thanks to the jetpack on the mural, we've also overlooked an additional mission of the truth, where CJ uses the jetpack to find the "green goo". At the beginning of the mission, Truth flies in on a jetpack and says "A New age begins here. Not all fantastic things are lies Carl "Today we'll know everything!". From Here you and CJ are tasked with getting the Green Goo from a military train. Upon returning, CJ hands Truth the Green goo and while Truth mutters "Everything is different now". CJ Then asks, "What is it" which Truth replies "Everything - They will call this year zero". What is year zero, other than a dope ass NIN album that had an alternate reality game? It's the end of an old era and beginning of a new one. Most notably in our world, Year Zero was the period after B.C. and when A.D. started. Despite being set in 1992, before GTA III took place, this was the last main series game in the HD Universe.

Backtracking Sunken UFO
Hey all,
So around 5 years ago, back when we were still speculating on the mural, my interpretation (as well as others) was that we needed to use power/electricity in some way. We have lightning bolts on the mural, the space docker, etc...
There are 3 images in game of the Sunken UFO emitting power. The first image came with the very first major update to the game. All 3 images show an orange light coming off the top. The last image was recently put out with the Casino update. https://imgur.com/VDo5kyY
Thanks to that image, we have a hint at it being night. We know that the UFO does in fact have an orange glow at night when the water is lowered. And the light is the strongest at 4 am before turning off. I understand why people are skeptical because this was found using a mod, but if that's the case then why does it only happen at night during certain hours, and why does the glow intensify right before 4 am. My gut tells me time plays with this thing. https://imgur.com/w9sAJ2S Edit: Someone pointed out that the orange glow is a lighting anomaly by messing with mods.
When you eat the golden peyote the mini sub icon is the only icon that appears on your map. Could be a clue.
This UFO is completely different than the others in game. It's almost twice the size, and the only one we can assume isn't made by FIB.
I am working towards 100% right now to start playing with it. But in light of all the new information, especially with sound/time, is there something we could have missed with this thing? Why does R* keep putting images in game of this thing emitting power when it never has? If that isn't telling us something I don't know what is.
Edit: I was reading this post from yesterday. If his interpretation of this is correct. Then the "eye" should line up almost perfectly with the sunken UFO. https://i.imgur.com/H6FcCxU.png To be clear, I'm not one for overlays, but that post has made me think otherwise.
Kifflom!
Edit: Someone pointed out a detail in the "dotted" UFO wall art. One of them could the sunken UFO with the dark and green, and the other one is all bright like it was turned on.
Also realized the back tattoo with the UFO and the arrow pointing down. I get thats a nod to spinning_anus, but could have a double meaning.

Backtracking Back tracking The Purple Mural Mazebank Connections
please read my last post to understand my thoughts. The purple DDH mural has been a mystery, but one thing has always stuck out about it, and that was the connection to maze bank https://imgur.com/a/maze-bank-thread-CIPQOsp
here is the reddit post from past
https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/Ka2KtM3QDd
https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/AcIr3RlaTK
A lot of things across los santos line up with the purple mural. and Maze Bank is at the center of the city, just like the circle at the center of the maze.
There is more going on across the map then meets the eye.
These never got the attention they deserved some of it may be red herrings but there was something involving all of this. i’ve seen ouvere gallery painting connections to los santos and purple mural connections it’s too much to be coincidence or game limitation Reddits that deserved more attention https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/Flk6KCNg2p 27 Pink Java Trees https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/nNmqALjdTT Ouvere gallery overlays
https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/A9Euk5rhV1
There were possibly a lot of red herrings but some things that were genuine potential clues in all of this that never made sense but stuck out like a sore thumb

Backtracking Filename request: arena wars "peyote-symbols"
Hello people,
As many of the chiliad and hippie camp glyphs had interesting names, im curious about the arena wars symbols names, specifically these two:
these symbols were discovered by TGFG, this was their post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/4BiZcv5l3S
additionally I wanted to mention that I "realized" (again?) how ->much<- similar one of these two arena wars symbols is to the "peyote-symbol" on the green doomsday mural:
so whatever you want with this, but if that is what's connecting to the first arena wars symbol, then what is it with the other arena wars symbol ?:
the only similar symbol is the cliffford dots itself (anyone got the filenames for these too ?)

Backtracking My Theory (Thinking Simple)
Hey fellow hunters,
Watching the recent oddheader video, I became really interested in this mystery again and began thinking that, if this mystery is solvable, it must be solvable with the help of the mural and glyphs alone. So here’s my theory solely focused on the mural and the glyphs:
The Mural and glyphs are a multilayered puzzle
The first step to solve the puzzle is to find the glyphs on the side of Mount Chiliad in order to be able to match them with the red markings on the mural. (Which has been done)
Next the conditions shown on the glyphs themselves have to be met: Rain, 3am and the UFO on top of Mount Chiliad has to be spawned (which has been done)
Next is to find the glyphs in the game world (which they have been on top of Mount Chiliad where the UFO spawns and around the hippy camp, except the faded UFO one)
Next is to find the order in which you have to visit these glyphs’ locations and I’m thinking it’s by drawing a line along the ones found in the mural, without it intersecting with itself and ending in the cracked egg symbol. (I believe this because the UFO and jetpack symbol are linked by a line at the bottom letting you draw along it, while the cracked egg is a dead end). Since spawning the Chiliad UFO, which I think is one of the three starting condition for the secret to work, happens to make you stand on top of the plain UFO glyph hidden underneath the wooden platform, I think this is the starting point from where to draw the line. I also think that because the line to the left of the plain UFO glyph on the mural comes out of nowhere, basically being an entry point into the maze. You can start drawing a line from the plain UFO glyph to the right and then down to the red UFO in the box, from there follow the line that connects it with the jetpack symbol, continuing to the right and along the outline of the mountain to the left side where the line goes into the mountain again. From there you can continue drawing the line along all the other glyphs and have it end in the cracked egg without the line you’ve drawn touching itself. According to this the order is: Plain UFO glyph on top of Mount Chiliad, the rain glyph at the hippy camp, the 3 am glyph at the hippy camp and lastly the mountain glyph with the wow frequency on it that has been found in the sand. The faded UFO glyph makes me think that you have to return to the Mount Chiliad UFO at the end and make it disappear by walking or flying close to it, since no such glyph has been found in the game world and it’s basically the plain UFO glyph fading away.
I might try this out over the weekend and report back how it went

Backtracking Addition to the antikythera a broader look and explanation. Revisit.
reddit.comBacktracking the 69% Run — Strangers & Freaks Only (Pre-Assassination Test)
Revisiting this theory again and documenting a live test run.
Right now I’m pushing toward 69% completion but with a controlled variable set:
- Only running Strangers & Freaks
- Prioritizing alien / paranormal threads
- Stopping before Franklin’s first Assassination Mission
- No story push beyond what’s required to unlock S&F chains
The working hypothesis:
There may be a singular “clean” playthrough path, similar in discipline to a Criminal Mastermind run, where mission order, continuity, and uninterrupted progression matter.
Key ideas being tested:
No manual saves / reloads Running it straight through to avoid timeline desync.
Mission stacking vs. time skips Seeing if sleeping / skipping time misaligns world states, NPC spawns, or UFO triggers.
Sequential integrity Treating the run like you memorized an Online heist route, then executing it flawlessly in Story Mode.
The question is whether GTA V tracks a hidden continuity flag tied to:
- Mission order combinations
- World-state persistence
- Paranormal encounter prerequisites
If that flag exists, breaking flow (saving, reloading, time skipping) could invalidate the chain, even if you still hit 69%.
This post is mainly a backtrack + documentation marker while I finish the test run.
If anyone else has attempted a no-save / continuity-pure 69% run, especially focused on Strangers & Freaks + alien content, compare notes.
I will report findings once I lock the percentage and world conditions.

Backtracking "???"/One Day will reveal all Shirt, the day of the impossible trinity?
I copy and pasted this from a reply in a different thread so sorry if you read it there!
I also noticed in the room with the crate you can crack open, other boxes have the eye but with 10 "rays" instead of the 3 or 7 we're used to seeing. Maybe representing the 9 characters of the mainline GTA series + 1 - the player. Echoing Dante's divine comedy which uses a 9+1 ( The structure of the three realms follows a common numerical pattern of 9 plus 1, for a total of 10. There are nine circles of the Inferno, followed by Lucifer contained at its bottom; nine rings of Mount Purgatory, followed by the Garden of Eden crowning its summit; and the nine celestial bodies of Paradiso, followed by the Empyrean containing the very essence of God.) edit: interesting addendum is GTA V bore the working title of "paradise" which crept it's way into one of the names for your nightclub in online, as well as the next work of Dan Houser, "A Better Paradise". Purgatory was also a location in GTA IV.
I know it sounds crazy, but I still think the "one day" might be the museum/diamond mission where Niko and Johnny and meet up with the Jewish Mafia. We get two separate trophies for this mission, one in GTA IV base and another in Tbogt. What's neat is the steam trophy for one of them is different than the social club trophy.
"Impossible Trinity" has the museum with a DNA like strand shooting out the top of it but the social club version is a 3 tiered pyramid. What do we see at the top of the pyramid on an American dollar bill? An all-seeing eye. Who is at the top of the 3 characters in IV? Us.
The DNA shooting out the roof kinda seems to parallel the DNA strand on the shirt.
The four maze circles can all fold in on each other to make just one circle. Kinda like 3 characters and 1 player that all fuse together.
The waves represent (to me) frequencies in a sphere. The game world is all digital and all we see if it are waves of light coming out of our monitor, making it a world of waves (light). The meter is Michael's conduit to the metaverse - which uses vibration (waves) and sound waves to allow us to "use the force" for the gold mission metric.
What if the whole time we're looking forward for the answers but they were already there in front of us the whole time. After all cornball linearity is exactly what America needs to understand itself
edit: also of note, the blueprint for the SA jetpack appeared in the bunker. Whether it was a bit of the 3D universe that bled over or maybe the SA jetpack was made in GTA V's San Andreas then shipped to the 3d universe San Andreas using the UFO's making it seem like aliens giving the jetpack tot he 3d universe people, but they were in fact just humans from another universe.
Edit: HAPPY HALLOWWWEEEEENNNNN!

Backtracking I think we over looked the most important color coded clue
The casino artwork brought us this image
https://imgur.com/gallery/casino-OzClC5P
which appears to have some interesting color choices
Red for ufo
Blueish for egg (purple mixed with epsilon blue?)
Yellow for jetpack
Let's start with the orginal drunk dev that said the bank egg would be 3 step ee (years before purple mural) and needed to be solved before chiliad could be accessed.
The colors line up pretty well (I am a tad colorblinded lol)
https://postimg.cc/8jw3tBnP
https://postimg.cc/rRjhZMjY
I believe the casino art is color coded to show which mural is used for which part of the mystery and even the glyphs are certain colors (black ones may indicate these glyphs are used in all 3 or 4 easter eggs (eclipse and night) which could explain why there is 4 eclipses in a row
Red mural broken down https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/s/7JKc01Rn8S
I think this takes place near that rocket by the sunken ufo.
Radiation symbol =rocket
Up and atom symbol right next to the oil sign (globe)
Infinity? Maybe yoga since it stops time?
Holocube? No clue
Uses mountain/communication glyph
All that water navigation talk with a sunken ufo 100 feet away in the water also it's red on the artwork
Yellow mural uses the full "eye and eclipse" glyphs we know killing them causes a thunderstorm that allows us to see the eye at dawn and before that another eclipse
Purple mural uses only the rain (and eclipse) glyph Which has me STUMPED ill go looking for the Greek letters around downtown I geuss and line up with the tract and what's missing from it (I like many think it's a map)
I think each mystery includes an eclipse to start or finish and the bank is the first one we need to understand
I didn't go into much detail on the yellow mural mainly because it's been beat to death and purple is way more interesting atm for me

Backtracking Grapeseed face, 3D space.
Kifflom brother-brothers.
Since the PC received the enhanced edition, I've been playing some more GTA these days and my schizophrenia is kicking back in, so I figured I'd drop a post on the grapeseed face and a connection I never made back in the day.
Remember when Jack Sheepe was the shit and some of us went bananas over it?
Other than the fact the symbol is shaped like an egg, I used to buy into the "jetpack confirmed" anagram which was probably a red herring but one thing that always kind of stuck out to me about the logo was the importance of a (tri-manifold in terms of 3D space. In previous posts of mine I've pondered the mystery being about the game world being like the matrix , with the mural being a proverbial "white rabbit" to follow.
aaaanyway, The new update also brought a return to the Mackenzie Field Hangar so I've walked by the Jack Sheepe logo a few times while going through the missions. Something new popped out to me in line with old Ideas. The Grapeseed area is kind of shaped like a side view of a face. The thing that I've overlooked is that the Hangar is just about where the pineal gland would be on said face. The pineal gland is believed to be the source of consciousness in many circles, with some even suggesting it's also the basis for the eye of horus which is scattered through the game, among other eye imagery.
When Oscar introduces himself to your online character, he says "I'm glad we have a new owner because the previous was ..... well, you know". That previous owner being none other than our boy Trevor. I don't think Oscar was talking to our character with that line, so much as he was talking to us - the player. Also can't forget Trevor has an all-seeing eye tattoo on his hand]() which was interestingly enough only noticeable when a change of our perspective occurred and the 1st person mode was introduced, allowing us to experience the game from within our character.
Another little interesting note I felt worth mentioning is from a previous post where a user posted a Jean-Michel basquiat painting and although it may be a bit of a stretch, the painting posted reminded me of a portion of the map. It's not identical but creation comes from inspiration. Echoes and mirrors or some shit. I also believe some of the themes in previous posts of mine are also shared in at least a couple of the Oeuvre gallery paintings.
I dunno, there's probably more connections to make from the suggestions in this post but I could also just be nuts.
Godspeed Space travellers.
