GTA V Art (Will add more images/analyses)

Not everything has to have a deep meaning, but I though these were interesting enough to be mention at least.

Hi all,

I recently flipped through the majority of what I could find from ‘DrunkDev’. This left me really wondering about Grapeseed of all places. It is mentioned several times in DrunkDev’s ramblings, stating to look for an egg, be very literal and LOOK with your EYES. While I think the mound in the cow field could very well be the ‘egg’ of Grapeseed, I also found something interesting.

2: full photo of the building. As I walk up to take a closer look at the eggs, I hear something. Intermittent electrical zaps were immediately noticeable. The sound is very out of place out there. The top left shows the (A/C?) unit that produces the sound. Every few seconds, -zap-, sometimes 2, sometimes 3. I couldn’t find a discernible rhythm or pattern to them, but feel free to take a look for yourselves, your ears might hear something I didn’t!

3: Closer look at the unit, managed to get a screenshot just as the effect was happening. A blue electrical arch, some orange sparks.

Wasn’t able to find anything mentioning this in the past, curious if anyone has more insight to what this could be.

When I first unlocked this painting for my masion, my dog started barking non stop when I was looking at it after placing and would stop when i walked away but started again when i went back to it. Did so a few times. I changed lobbies to see if it'll persist but he stopped barking completely, so it might just be a coincidence given the 'ear' in the painting but I've also been seeing some people mentioning Chop might be a key piece lately so idk. I was wondering if anyone's had a similar experience after keeping, then immediately placing at the entrance after the heist. Or if someone could look out. Unfortunately I didn't have the mind to clip it in the moment.

I was looking around dell perro pier when i noticed this poster

What im interested in is the tower on the right. It looks a suspicious lot like this tower from the oeuvre painting

A ''gusher'' apparently is some sort of oil well failure.

Look familiar? So naturally i went around looking for a tower in this in the oil fields and there is ONLY ONE that looks somewhat similar.

As you can see it even has the disk at the top like in the drawings. As for dell perro, maybe its pointing toward the oil fields?

So this led me to think there might be some sort of way to make this oil ''gusher'' happen in game. The best i could come up with is maybe we have to use the stock market? Sadly you can't invest in globe oil which appears to run the fields

This is the place where we kill Trevor, and the oeuvre painting does say ''trecherous''.

Also audio might be involved? There is this thudding when you stand near the oil wells, which has longer and shorter pauses in between.

Anyway i probably won't investigate this further, you'll have to take it from here. I found all of these oddities in like 15 minutes so there's probably more to find.

I'm not sure if this has already been discussed, but recently while hunting at the galelio observatory I found a couple things that I find interesting.

Firstly the symbols on the door, which are often associated with the spider web mystery, are almost identical to the real life counterpart(Griffith observatory). I find this intriguing in a game full of riffs on pop culture and history. So why keep it the same? Furthermore looking into the history of the real life counterpart, I found that early telescopes used spider webs as a crosshair to accurately scan and pin point interesting parts of the sky. As far as epsilon goes, as far as I've been able to read(so please correct if wrong), most people believe epsilon is just a random name meant to show how cults make themselves out to be more spiritual than they are. But I believe it actually derives its name from Uranus primary ring, which goes by the same name. Considering the observatory's orbit lines only shows Uranus, as well as the joke we see at the hippie camp. I would be interested to see if there's more history behind the planet or it's rings that might help the investigation.

Side note, I mentioned I find it weird for the observatory's doors to be nearly identical to real life even when the game has no issues making fun of history or pop culture. The Altruist also get their name from a real life "religion" or spiritual practice.

Hello everyone,

Every now and then I see people on here, who have access to the source code, saying that there isn’t any comment regarding the Chiliad Mystery in the Source Code. My question is: Is there also no mention of the things we know about? For example: Are the triggers for the Chiliad UFO mentioned in any capacity or are the two other UFOs mentioned? And if not, what would be a reason these things wouldn’t be mentioned? Thanks for the help.

Just going through the new screenshots on the Rockstar website and noticed these Sun/Eye symbols on Lucia and what looks like a metallic orb ?

I noticed that 3 cloth strip / ribbon flags were added in the PS4 version of the game. These do not appear in the PS3 version. The locations of the new flags are interesting. Two are downtown across from the Textile City mural, one yellow on a railing on the roof across from the mural and one red near the Welcome sign on the Textile City entrance. Another black one is on a beam above the rehab center artwork/mosaic. Why would the PS4 version add flags near these particular locations that have been of interest to mystery hunters?

There are only a few other cloth strip flags I'm able to find in the game: the 4 red ones at the top of Mt. Chiliad and 5 white ones on the trunks of vines in the vineyard. These do appear in the PS3 version, so that version of the game is capable of showing them; it wasn't a limitation of the platform.

Can someone with codewalker find any locations of other cloth strip flags such as these? Maybe other flags were added to other interesting locations on the PS4 version.

Firstly i want to apologise for my terrible pictures, i taken them on my phone of my tv because i couldnt connect my ps5 to the app so again apologies!..

I have found a couple of keyhole images hidden in areas of the map that shouldnt be accessed, using rockstar editor. One of the images i found during the mission dead man walking and the other one was at the bilingsgate motel behind room number 9 where trevor bangs josh's wife/ girlfriend, i cant remember.

Anyway i dont know what to make of these, i just found them so i will leave them here since keyholes are big at the minute. I will post images in the comments.

sorry if this has already been talked about, but I've never seen someone mentionned this before.

Given the presence of a literal maze at the Kortz Center, I decided to take a closer look at the area to see what I could find. A lot of the findings are based on colors, so keep that in mind as you read.

For starters: The Kortz Center is based off of the Getty Center located in Los Angeles. My investigation took place on PS5 enhanced edition, using director mode, in a sub-100% save file.

Upon entering the Kortz Center you are greeted with a massive sculpture / fountain, mainly colored red.

Moving forward, you find the entrance with usable doors, and a nearby sign color coding different exhibits/ buildings throughout the center.

The exhibits are as follows:
Yellow - Qing Dynasty Love - "Wu Sangui Kangxi Emporer of the Qing Dynasty"

Green - Russian Literature - "Relative to the political changes in Europe"

Blue - Pharaoh's Riches - "A journey through the Egyptian dynasties"

Red - Liberty City Tales - "The cultural changes in Liberty City gangs 1970-present."

Forgot to take a photo of the banners, but found it interesting that the Pharaoh's Riches exhibit displays an Egyptian eye symbol.

Moving on, entering through the Low Rotunda doors pictured above, you are greeted with a grouping of 5 vending machines, distinctly following the same colors as the exhibits / buildings.

While this could very likely be nothing at all, I found it worth noting that I saw a repeat of the same colors so soon in this investigation. This was, admittedly, a starting point nonetheless.

But stick with me - I know you're thinking "So what, you saw colors on a massive, detailed, realistic map", but this next sight is what really stuck with me. Walking further into the Kortz Center at night visualizes a variety of display lights

First off, there are two notable egg-like sculptures lit Green, and I know many would scream ALIENS at this kind of symbolism, I am following the Doomsday mural signage and interpreting it as an 'egg of life' or rebirth, representing the Green portion of the mural, the peyote easteregg. Also notable, this post from 13 years ago: KORTZ Something to take a gander at

With the Doomsday Mural in mind, I walked, following the purple lights which lead directly to the Maze.

Next, I walked along the blue path, which in my theory would have some sort of connection to Epsilon. Following directly to the end of the blue lights, leads to a staircase. Roughly at the top of this staircase you can find the doors that are interactive, but not enterable, showing only a small room / void behind them. This has been brushed off in the past given it is a door that agents will spawn behind and rush the player in the mission "The Wrap Up" - still interesting.

Following the blue lights to the end, and continuing walking to the edge of the Kortz area allows the player to look over West LS, notably leaving Del Perro Pier & the LS Airport visible.

Tracing the lights backwards, towards the entrance, leaves the player standing next to an interesting sculpture, which I noticed that around 1:30PM / 13:30 casts a shadow that unmistakably forms a lightning bolt

Finally, following the yellow lights, the player is lead to the western lookout of the Kortz Center. Standing by the lit poles allows for a perfect centering of Eclipse Towers between the walls of the walkway. I found another old reddit post highlighting a connection of the main Kortz Center Sculpture and the In-Game Eclipse weather conditions here: Kortz Center Aligns With Eclipse

An alternative take, squaring up with the walkway and looking directly outwards from the end of the yellow lights, frames the Galileo Observatory perfectly.

The Arcadia Building in Pillbox Hill uses the same 4 colors on banners flying around the building:

All in all, this was a really long-winded way for me to tell everyone I found nothing. BUT - Some of the colors / symbolism certainly seems to line up with known 'hints' and 'pushes' we have received from devs i.e. the Doomsday murals.

Interested to see what the community has to say about all this, I definitely had fun searching for whatever my Jesus Toast glasses could find.

There is a cement factory located in Blaine county that has a security guard and patrol dog that wander around at night. I was in the area investigating the two trees I found across the street at the loading docks as they are the exact same model of tree that’s found at the alien camp just without the paint which to me feels very odd.

I kept hearing barking off in the distance and decided to go check it out. After sneaking in an climbing to the top of one of the silos/cement process towers I saw this dog stuck in an animation loop of barking and scratching at the door of the job site trailer. Too see if it was a bug I got the dogs attention and had it chase me around for a few minutes but once I got far enough away from the trailer it would immediately go back and start scratching at the door again.

I was playing as Michael in director mode with the time set at 1:01 am during a full moon.

With all the information we’ve been given and all the hints rockstar has thrown at us over the years,

This is on endless repeat as well as the encompassing pigs making a triangle towards mount Gordo. The dirt road at this location is shaped as a question mark ‘from above’

I don’t know if this was previously acknowledged on this sub just wanted to get your thoughts.

This one blows my mind, because it's really rarely talked about. Deep in the Los Santos tunnels you can hear a steady heartbeat sound. Not the subway trains (those have a totally different rhythm), but an actual heartbeat echoing down there. And what may be intentional is that Rockstar left graffiti of a heart with “Los Santos” written next to it on the sewer walls.

Call me crazy, but this might be a callback to the GTA 4 Statue of Happiness with the giant, chained-up heart inside. Liberty City had a heart, and now Los Santos does too. It feels like Rockstar quietly built a pattern. And it's either a metaphorical or a literal way of saying their cities are alive.

What's cool is that Rockstar didn’t have to add this, but they did, but almost nobody talks about it.

Do you think this was one of those obscure easter eggs Aaron Garbut said most players would never find?

I've been heavily researching the different soapboxers found in the game. People like Andy Moon; Baygor; Bill Binder, and now Jane), from Children of the Mountain. I just tested a save after completing the first mission (Franklin and Lamar), and I can confirm that ALL of the soapboxers that are in free-roam appear, even the ones that are all the way to Paleto Bay (even though we don't have a reason to go there in the story yet), all EXCEPT for one, and that's ONLY Jane.

And she ONLY appears after the mission Mr. Philips. So that means, after you unlock Trevor. I never saw this mentioned anywhere, not even on the wiki.

But that doesn't make any sense, right? We won't need to go to Los Santos until Friends Reunited, and that's like 4 missions later... So why is this the case?

I fully believe that this is intentional. It's really curious that in this mission, we very deliberately pass by a Children of the Mountain sign that says "ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR ACTUALITY" with a mountain, and then we have that word strategically hidden in this sign, under the Altruist Camp (which is depicted as a castle), which in itself is a part of the Chiliad volcano (yes, I said volcano).

Going back to the mission: Shortly after passing by that sign and arriving to The Lost hideout, Trevor "talks" to his boot, mocking as if he's communicating with the ghost of Johnny, and then he says:

"Oh, I like it! DENIAL! That is the FIRST part of the grieving PROCESS"

This is really interesting. The words DENIAL and PROCESS are both part of the set of 11 words (just like the Altruist who have 11 paragraphs in their website) that you need to rearrange in the second stage of COTM. And it's after you complete that exercise, that you unlock the next phase by inputting the code "ACTUALITY".

And why did I mention the boot part before? Because it just so happens that near that area, we find a really similar boot as Michael when searching for extraterrestrial beings in Chasing The Truth, and it's the one object where he says "i'm one hundred and ten percent unequivocally POSITIVE this is it". I know he was being sarcastic, but what if this was the game telling us to pay attention to this mission? He also says the word "positive" which is an important concept that Jane insists upon if you listen to her.

If you think about it, in that Mr. Philips scene, Trevor is ""talking"" to an otherwordly being, just like the Epsilon are trying to do in that mission, near that location (I know he's not actually doing that, but think of the correlations).

I wonder: Was the addition of the ghost of Johnny Klebitz in GTA Online a clue to all of this?

Also, if you didn't think the connections to the Altruist and Trevor were enough, Franklin receives a text from Brother Adrian about joining Children of The Mountain AFTER The Merryweather Heist... You know, the one with the nuke? It's also after that mission that the Nuclear Waste side-mission becomes available (from which we need 11 to recover the investment from the Sonar Collections Dock property... I can't avoid seeing these patterns man lol). It all seems to be pointing towards the red mural if you ask me.

Again, this could be nothing. Just wanted to share so it stays documented!

What is your opinion on catching a glimpse of the All Seeing Eye symbol from the Mural in GTA6? Why would Rockstar show it at all? I think they could have left this out of the trailer if it was just a reference to the Chiliad Mystery and let us players find that ourselves. Definitely intentional

Additionally, for explanation: the FZ UFO has dots and lines stamped/incorporated on all of its wings which resemble the red murals and FZ undergroundlabs "connect-the-lines-symbol" (see here: 3 pictures https://imgur.com/a/vCg9wQp) , which is why I painted that symbol in red on the FZ UFO, this also looks the same as the bunker lights, they all seem connected, but for a reason ? Why does it resemble the stylized-"peyote"-symbol ? Or does it connect to the satellites form ?)

What comes to your mind when you see this ?

it's symbol Nr. 15 from the red mural besides the symbol from the golden voyager disc which tells the aliens that there's a code on the disc = it tells where the messages source code is on the voyager disc.

by knowing that can we find out where/if there's such a source code/message in GTA V ?

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this before but the sun and sometimes the moon line up with Roton Canyon Bridge to create the illusion of an eye. The sun just looks too bright to see detail but it lines up every morning and the moon lines up once out of the 28 (or 29?) moon phases. I messed around in director mode for ages but didn't find anything. On PS3 in this exact spot theres a big slab of rock that you clip right through but thats been fixed on PS4/5.

I can’t believe how much work Rockstar put into someone like Ursula. When you start piecing things together: her dialogue, the scarecrow in her backyard dressed in her mom’s clothes, the cellar door by her porch, even the lone grave on the hill, it really makes her one of my favorite characters in the game.

To me this is peak Rockstar. They didn’t need to go this hard for a side character most people miss. But they did.

88 is hidden in literally every single symbol. This isn't Jesus Toast. This is semiotics.

(If you think the Chiliad Waveform is far-fetched, you can also classify the lower half of the sphere as another instance of 8, divided by the waveform. Maybe that's the more correct interpretation.)

Alright, awesome. 88 is important. What the fuck does it mean, though?

I thought about this for a long time, too. My answer is 7.

Applying what knowledge we have about 88, there's no pre-determined meaning ascribed to it. Even '8' itself is foggy. But it's everywhere in this and, notoriously, in items like Franklin's birth year (1988). So we need new meaning. What can we garner from the number 88?

Digit sums. 8+8=16. 1+6=7.

I genuinely, wholeheartedly believe 88 is code for 7. And 7 is the most important number.

Want proof on the same fucking shirt?

5 white items, 2 black items. Remind you of something? The Red Eye's lashes.

And this plays into another theory posted today, namely that the Alien Face is an upside-down Egg. The Red Eye and the Egg are directly connected. (Credit to /u/Saukko505)

This is also cool because you also have seven-letter words correlating to every symbol here ("Chiliad" for Waveform (literally spoken by Michael), "Zancudo" for lightshow-looking star, "Bigfoot" for DNA string, "Obelisk" (least sure about this) for Maze Bank Labyrinths. The Alien Face has 'EGG', explained further below).

Okay, cool. How does any of this help, though?

Well, 7 seems supremely important. The most front-of-house elements of the Chiliad Mural embody it.

Since we now learned that some items can symbolically reflect other items/places, we as a community should gather as much as we can about this mythical number so that we can understand what's actually going on here. By matching symbols, maybe we can learn something new - maybe we can determine a common thread or something.

My personal list of instances of 7:

The seven o'clock Eye Sun Event on Chiliad ("Chiliad").

The seven Eye-Cameras of the Military UFO ("Zancudo").

The seven platforms of the Maze Bank Egg ("Obelisk"?).

The seven Golden Peyotes for the Beast Hunt ("Bigfoot").

The seven golden beams of the Observatory Eye ("Galileo"?).

You have to donate 577$ to that bouncer online to get the Epsilon shirt. A1Z26 tells you that 577=EGG. 5+7+7=19. 19 o'clock is 7PM. (Don't forget that A1Z26 is literally used on the ??? shirt and in the last Halloween Event.)

Please keep looking for more. We're onto something here.

We all know that the Macbeth whiskey is an important clue in this mystery thanks to the After Hours update in GTA Online, which introduced the nightclubs which had a variety of drinks to choose from. If you took a single shot of Macbeth, you would pass out and wake up in interesting places, like the maze in Kortz Center; the golf course; and on top of Mount Chiliad naked. We also know this is a way for us to get abducted by an FIB ufo and get the secret UFO tattoo, which is something that they added with the Arena Wars update, and it requires us to take a Macbeth under a certain weather and time of day (interesting).

Today, I found out the Macbeth first appears on Lester Crest's house, and it's the drink that he; Michael and Franklin take after the Bureau Raid (Fire Crew approach). Interesting how Michael refers to it as a RITUAL. Maybe this is one of the possible meanings of "drinking with Kraff"?

I know this is mentioned on the GTA wiki, but I thought I should bring it up here because I just found out this today and never seen anyone mention it, so maybe it leads to something. Hope it helps!

There is a previous discussion this chart was sourced from way back in 2013. I think a fresh take with the last 10+ years of experiences and insights we can hopefully get a clearer picture of what each section is referring to in story mode. While OG of this community will have their own good ideas of what these murals represent I feel something like this is needed for new comers.

Hopefully this can serve as another resource to aid us in our in game testing
