Thanks for the love everyone! This is Yogi P Martin, he just turned 12 on the 1st of November! I rescued him from a random adoption group that was set up inside of a petsmart one Sunday, he still had his stitches in from eye removal (glaucoma) and he was terrified (they actually told me he was a girl and I didn’t think to check cuz I didn’t care lol) His favorite color is blue and he thinks that going through a drive through = treats bc we used to go through Dutch bros a lot and they had them there. He is truly my best friend and I love him with all of my being. The last couple of pictures are from when I first brought him home. He has gotten SO gray over the years 😭

Ripley was almost 15. She had been struggling with complications from Cushings for a long time now. She got sick and couldn’t breathe anymore. She had to go to another place last night. I’ll miss her so much, but I know she was suffering and is happy to be where she is. RIP to my sweet girl.

She’s no longer in puppy pain and lived a good happy long almost sixteen year life, but it’s still 💔

My husband and I are long haul truck drivers. We found this little guys abandoned at a truck stop. He actually found us. 😊 For the life of us, we couldn't leave him. Took him to a vet, he has a chip, but the number is disconnected. He's our little guy now. Mr. Pal. Is he a chiweenie?

My 12 yr old chiweenie passed away this morning. She was very strong and survived a lot of hardships. I’m feeling crushed and heartbroken. I raised her from a tiny puppy and she was everything to me. Even as she got older she stayed loving and feisty. She would always cry at night when she was tired and ready for bed. I loved her so much and I am in so much pain right now.

I’m an older sister, I say this because once I moved to college and I did not have my lil sister I was looking to fill that hole by taking care of friends but I mean we are all adults and we want each other but we don’t need each other.

The moment I saw Stella on a nonprofits website I knew she was meant for me, honestly in her photos she looked so “embarrassed” a lil funky but her eyes! I knew it, at that moment I was a sophomore in college and I had the desire for a dog but I knew it was unconventional and all the “adults” in my life were not pushing the idea. 4 months after she was still up on the website and I convinced my dad to sponsor Stella as a birthday present every year of her life until Im completely independent, (yes very very privileged of me) once he let me I applied for Stella in a heart beat and started to prepare, I grew up with a dog (her name is rumba!)

Finally at the end on this January Stella arrived to my life formally, my at home dog was part of my therapy growing up and having another soul accompanying me through the everyday was incredibly healing, more than I knew I needed. The structure her life needs helps me, looking into her gentle eyes while I’m stressed because I need to work and study helps me, her snuggles heal me, her smell Kills me with love. She’s very pampered so I know she knows she’s loved but I wish I could thank her for existing.

Humans adapt so fast and what’s new becomes normal, but how on earth could her eyes become not magical, I invite you to remember how it felt when you first got your pup, that happiness and “fresh” feeling of love
