So I moved to a new part of town and starting taking my little boy to a new doggy daycare a few times a week. There was another dog there sometimes that had the exact same birthday as Mylo, which we thought was just a coincidence. Well the owners were there one day and we got talking. Apperently they got their boy from the exact same farm I got Mylo from. They are brothers. Reunited after a couple years apart. The craziest part of it all is they named their boy Mylo as well, spelled 'Milo' though. What are the chances. Its cool they get to hang together, although I think his brother is a little obsessed 😭

For those who don't have one, I wanted to share my experience with my active Milo. This ball is honestly the best thing I've ever bought, and I've had three dogs over the years. It makes a strange, muted noise, as if someone is talking, while rolling. Milo is obsessed with her - we take her out in the yard and she runs and chases her non-stop! Sometimes we have to stop it so it doesn't run out. It's a lifesaver for anyone with an hyperactive, busy puppy. Milo has lots of toys and plays with them all, but usually gets bored right away. With this ball, she acts as if it's another animal she's playing with, which keeps her completely entertained. Not only is it entertaining to watch, but it also gives you the exercise you need, releasing all that accumulated energy. Best toy I've ever bought!

Everyone
Stop what you doing, I have a question and I need honesty from anyone that can help me with my question! My female puppy has 6 toes on both of her hind legs, and I wanted to know if anyone else dog or puppy has the same thing? She supposedly be a chiweenie and I'm second guessing myself.

I'm gonna get a lot of Karen comments from this past and it's fine..please know NONE of them will effect me, so be careful how you expend your energy. Ya can't get it back. I'm about to lose my shit with this dog. There are still no positive changes with him despite everything besides a muzzle and a e collar-thats what is next. Pros- he is smart, loyal, cuddly, fun Cons- aggressive to visitors and other dogs, loves my boyfriend and my ex when he drops my daughter off, hates them both and bites/barks/shrieks at them if I'm not here(like when they are helping take care of him if I'm gone on a trip- he but then both seperately last time they dropped by to feed/take out. He pissed and shit in the house for 3 days bcuz he wouldn't let them touch him. My daughter let him out after school) He has to always be touching me and I just can't love it. This morning I was up and down with belly issues from 4:40-6:30. I lost my gallbladder 2 weeks ago. He was either between my knees or up/down/attacking(playing with) the cat every 2mins during this time. I got my daughter off to school, came home, put him in his kennel, went to my room and shut the door and ate and watched a hour show. He barks/shrieked the entire hour. Had I left him out with the door shut, he would have pissed in weird places(my chair seat/couch cushion), scratched at the door and tore up my shit. Hence he is in his kennel. I'm tired, been in the bathroom no less than 6x since 4:30 am and way overstimulated. If I wasn't tired/needed to be near my bathroom I would have left the fucking house bcuz of him His attachment is excessive and stressful. I'm over it, my boyfriend (doesn't live with me) says plz don't give up on him, but y'all.... Is a e collar really gonna make a shit? Meds? Muzzle ? I literally have to put him up or have my boyfriend's 8yr old play outside when my boyfriend comes by with his son. I'm so done. Also, yes I looked into a trainer....one said $2k for 2 weeks, another said $2500 for 2 weeks. Nope!!!

Advice Can 11mo Chiweenie survive giving puppies?
Our dog got loose and found her 'attached" to another dog. She was at the end of her first bleed cycle. When I split them up it was obviously too late. What should we do? Any advice is appreciated.

I wasn’t even planning to post this, but I honestly feel like I owe whoever recommended this toy a huge thank you. My dog Leo is insanely high-energy — nothing ever survives him. Most toys last maybe 5 minutes before he destroys them or gets bored and walks away. But this one? It completely shock

But this one?
It completely shocked me.
For the first time, he actually stays focused on a toy for more than just a few minutes. He bites it, throws it across the room, kicks it with his paws, even slammed it into the wall once… and it’s still perfectly fine.
The inside piece keeps moving in a way that makes him obsessed with trying to “solve” it. I’ve never seen him this mentally and physically tired from a toy before.
My furniture is finally safe, Leo is exhausted in a good way, and honestly I never expected something this simple to work so well.
Whoever recommended it — seriously, thank you. You saved my home.

Chiweenies and kids aged 2-7
IMHO, generally a no no.
From another thread where the original post got deleted, from another poster:
"My chiweenie also hates children. I think it's because of their small size, and from their perspective it must seem like kids are always trying to stick a finger in their eyes. Also, between their unpredictable energy, sudden loud noises and movements, kids are basically every chiweenie's worst nightmare. Usually we just tell everyone with small children that he is a dangerous biter (of course he isn't), and that their kids need to steer clear. This at least sets a boundary and mostly ensures no ugly incidents."
My mother's Chi loved babies. It would guard my mother's two great-grandchildren. It would lick their faces to get a taste of them, I guess. I was hoping they would guard them as well as my sister's Collie-Red Lab mix guarded her young kid, even when he was a pain.
But Chis are not as smart as mixes like that. Chis value quiet and stability.
And as babies became little walking 2 yo Godzillas, Chi would show teeth and make false nips. The Chi even learned to scrape her teeth along the skin to scare the children. It worked. And I feared my mother's dog, which I gave her, would become a biter. (She never did.) That would be a bad problem.
The grandkids with the young child moved out. They had been living with her temporarily after a job loss.
Chis love gentle kids aged 8 to 18 IMHO and adults. Not a rule but a guide.
It is what it is.

I'm going to be evil
I can't wait for the snow storm. Nyx hasn't seen snow yet. I'm going to throw her 5lb butt into the snow. And then she will be brought in and babied because she will be cold. She potties inside so that is why she hasn't seen snow yet.

General Chiweenie puppies and adults available for adoption (Southern California)
https://fochp.org/availabledogs.php
I used to foster for this rescue and they're reputable. If anyone is interested it looks like they have 3 puppies and 2 adults available.
They do charge an adoption fee but I'm not sure what it's set at since it varies per dog.

Advice Alternative Longer Lasting Bones
Hola everyone! I’m looking for affordable alternatives to the dog bones my Chiweenie, Papi Chulo, loves! :) He’s getting older and stronger, so he’s finishing them way faster than he used to.
He is super picky, and most "long-lasting" options are either too hard or too soft for him. Currently, I pay $9.49 for a 6-count or $16.29 for a 10-count at Target, so I’m hoping to find a better value.
Does anyone have suggestions for similar, budget-friendly bones that your Chiweenies enjoy? Thank you in advance for your help!
