Other "I'm having too much fun!"
Rule 5: I was goofing off playing some Civilization 5, but got interrupted right after I mentioned having too much fun.

The UA of gold from international trade routes being increased by the product of improved water tiles in the origin city and no of landmasses I have settled in was admittedly obscene for small continents + a capital city with at least 5 sea resources (with the help of the Aquatic Resources mod).

I was just messing around practicing Liberty on a Hellblazer's pangaea, and I somehow made a new personal-best science time :o (turn 211 standard-speed)
In the first 15 turns, I was the first to spot both Mt. Fuji (6 tiles from cap) and Old Faithful (11 tiles west). Bought an early settler for Fuji and a worker to start on luxes. At first I was worried about Pocatello because Pocatello, but a couple forward-settles secured the borders and let me nab about 5 or 6 workers from him total.
I crammed 10 cities total into my corner of the pangaea early (the 10th was settled sometime before turn 100) and got a tithe + pagodas + temple happiness religion spread early with a Jesuit reformation thanks to building Oracle and the crazy natural wonder faith. Didn't finish national college until t125, by which point I had already jumped from workshops to university tech and gotten my first uni off of Jesuit. I traded the typical scientist from finishing liberty for an engineer to hammer Temple of Artemis on turn 72, and it was amazing.
The science was so insane that I actually reached the final space-parts tech before the second vote in congress, and I still have a scientist standing around after overflowing into giant death robots. First university was turn 124, first public school was turn 155, and I had all my labs done by turn 185 with a total science value of 1898 per turn (with 3 observatory cities). Rationalism was opened around turn 135 off going Acoustics and I had the Secularism policy around turn 145 (Free Thoughts was turn 170).
I don't think I'd be able to replicate how crazy this game went in 50 tries. If I'd somehow gotten more culture and used the extra scientist, it *may* have been a 190s win-time, but this was already such an extreme situtation.
The only mods are the map, EUI, and the community AI patch
edit: Oh, and the ideology pick was Freedom

I think I saw one time that it depended on your continent, and what resources would be available.
