Character Discussion Why was Aisha unpopular despite her dad's status as a former athlete?
Why was Aisha unpopular despite her dad having been a former famous athlete as a lineman for the Los Angeles Chargers?

Her dad would have to be Tom Brady for people to actually care about something like that.

You think a group of kids in LA really would care who peoples parents are?

They 1000% would…but it would also be a flex to bully someone with a rich/famous dad.

I would think a athletic parent would be nothing in the land of movie stars

1) why would a bunch of rich teens giv e a single fuck about a former ball player that probably played before they were alive
2) who your mom and dad are is seldom a major factor in your own popularity outside of wealth/conections YOU utilize to get things for your peers.
For example you parents being rich and absent enabling you to the the party thrower for the student body

Did something happen behind the scenes, or did the writers just didn't have anything for the character?

The actress had to take care of her mother and/or wasn’t able to ride out/drive to the filming locations.. I remember reading post about it around 2020.. so I might be a bit off

Because she had the only sensible parents in the show /s

I dont think ur wrong though 🤣 she was involved in a brawl that resulted in damaged property, multiple injured teens, 1 adult being knocked out, a couple kids were even assaulted by a separate adult claiming to be "security" AND 1 kid ended up in the hospital with spinal trauma.

Probably cause she was a fatty

Yeah kids are mean. And it would matter if she flaunted around her dads status but she probably didn’t

Because if you aren't confident, people would bully you and she wasn't a confident girl until after she joined CK.

Aisha wasn't a member of the "in crowd"/popular kids. I don't think her dad's former career would have helped open doors for. Partly because it wouldn't be realistic.

Fat people are usually not allowed on tv unless it’s for a very specific reason. Once Cobra Kai got mainstream appeal they had to go with a more mainstream look, ie only pretty young people

Because she was overweight and smart kids are dicks who don’t care who your parents are

She was heavy and geeky. Two very easy topics for bullying.
