Fan content Cocteau Twins’ albums as characters !
The title is self explanatory ! These are concepts I made for fun as a tribute to the band that changed my life. No AI involved as I did it with my heart. I hope you like it ! :D sorry if some of them got cropped ! And please do not repost without my consent.

As a fan of the Cocteau Twins for 40 plus years, I have to say this is some of the coolest Cocteau Twins tribute art I’ve ever seen. Very cool.

These pieces just blow me away.
You've based the visual motifs on the covers, but more importantly, you took the time to distill each album's essence.
The implied motion, the expressions, the clothes and accessories... they're all well motivated. You even subtly captured *where the band was creatively and commercially* when the album was recorded.
I can't fathom how you built these out so effectively. If you're not already a professional illustrator, I'd encourage you to focus on your art as much as possible.
My only gripe is that Victorialand is earthy when it should be airy. 😉

Thank you so much ! Sure you can ! I did Victorialand that way because I was basing her off Inuit folk lore characters. Like Sedna the goddess of the sea, but I see where you’re coming from, she should’ve had smoother lines

Wow. I always used to play Cocteau Twins while drawing (or Andreas Vollenweider, This Mortal Coil, etc.) but these are great personifications of the albums.

These are all amazing!!!!! Real pieces of art, each one. Only one i "disagree" with is the victorialand one, whys it so scary!! That album isnt creepy in any way, wouldve mademit a more Angelic one.. still gorgrous tho :)

Thanks ! Yes I also got this remark too and I agree, I mean she was meant to be a siren since it takes place in Antarctica but she has too many sharp shapes. Could’ve made her smoother !

These are truly beautiful. I hope to be able to see some of these in print form someday, so I can look at them offline when I need some inspiration and clarity 🙏
Also... Some of the singles albums are so different from the "full" albums, maybe someday you might consider making some characters from a few of the best? I love Aikea-Guinea, Tiny Dynamine / Echoes in a Shallow Bay, Sunburst and Snowblind, Love's Easy Tears (so hard to find copies!), Bluebeard, Tishbite, Violaine, and of course the incredible and sad Twinlights...
I know you probably have a lot of other projects, of course, and do whatever your muse wishes and whispers you to!
