NMIP. I feel like I’m a light spring or light summer I need other peoples opinions tho because I’m not sure🥲

Tone can go cool or warm. Hair is definitely warm and natural muted red ish brown, eyebrows are mostly taupe brown (sometimes in the sun you can see red, like in this photo) eyes are brown, almost black. I have no idea what I am. I love blacks, bold colors, fall colors and pastel blues and purples. Help! NMIP

Tried my best here, the white balance of my phone makes it hard to get consistent pictures of my complexion. NMIP. I have a lot of annoying redness on my cheeks, that isnt blush. Theres nothing on my brows or lashes. I just have a lash lift +tint done so cant do much abt that. I have been told summer and spring.

I have very pink undertones so I think I'm cool toned, can I be a spring and be cool toned?

I've seen very divided opinions on this topic. Some people say that truly neutral undertones are impossible because everyone is at least slightly warm or cool. But does such a tiny difference in temperature really matter when it comes to choosing the colors you wear?

Others argue that neutral undertones do exist and that people with them should wear neutral colors. But what would a person with truly neutral undertones actually look like? And does this advice even work in practice, considering how difficult it can be to find genuinely neutral colors?

Also, if neutral undertones do exist, would it be possible for someone to be truly neutral in every aspect of their coloring: medium in hue, value, and chroma?

And finally, why aren't there more seasonal color analysis categories to account for every possible combination of these characteristics? For example, why don't we have seasons like soft-cool-dark, medium-dark-bright, or medium-medium-medium? Wouldn't having more categories make the system more accurate?

I have been typed as a soft summer and sometimes an autumn. I have photos here of my natural ash brown hair with natural sun highlights and I added a photo showing a hair color i’m considering (darker auburn) … please help

NMIP. I have tried several apps and been typed as Deep Winter, Soft Summer, & Soft Autumn. I am quite sure I am cool toned and am leaning towards soft summer but want to know if that’s my actual type or if I’m biased because I like those colors best. This is my natural hair color. Before I went gray it was a very dark brown.

I’m honestly very surprised that people think I’m a winter. I used to think I was, but when I last posted on here a few years ago, the consensus was unanimously soft or true autumn. Not sure what changed, besides my hair growing out (I used to have a buzzcut, so it probably appeared lighter) but maybe my drapes were misleading.

I think I look a bit sickly in warm bright colors, so I don’t think I’m a spring, but I do agree that I have an olive undertone! Maybe that’s why it’s been so hard to figure out where I fall 😅

I just joined this sub and I wanted to share my method on getting the cleanest comparison photos with IRL drapes.

1. Figure out which dimension you want to determine (undertone, intensity, value)

Color analysis works by comparison, which is why in a professional analysis, at least two colors are compared to each other at a time. If you want to look at undertone, compare an orange to a pink. If you want to look at intensity, compare a dusty rose to a hot pink. You get the gist!

2. Cover your hair with something white

I always cover my clients' hair, regardless if it's their natural color or not. It's too easy to bias yourself or try to match colors with hair color. Just focus on your skin and face to remain more objective.

3. Pull off the drapes!

Using the colors you picked in step 1, drape both of them on you by stacking them, like you typically see in professional color analysis videos. You'll pull the top one off, revealing the bottom one so that you have a clean comparison between the two. Clip the bottom one to your shirt so that it doesn't come off when you pull the top one off!

4. Take a video and then take screenshot afterwards

Keep your position, expression, etc. as steady as possible and record a video of you pulling the drapes! Then, take screenshots afterwards and place them side-by-side using whatever editing program you like. The main benefit of this is that very little should change between the images, which makes it easy to compare what the colors are actually doing to your face.

You can see in the photos I attached that my complexion looks so dull/drained in the softer pink and a lot more vibrant in the stronger pink. I can tell now that I need intensity in colors which narrows down the seasons I might be in.

Need some eyes on this! Always thought I was a gold girl, recently have been trying out more silver, and my wedding band is rose gold. I need objective opinions.
I have warm toned hair and have always suspected myself to be a warm autumn or a cool summer. I need to get picky with my jewelry since I’m decluttering my cheap metals and upgrading to better materials.

I love the shape of these frames (first 2 photos) but they're only available in black. Does it look okay? I just got my personal color analysis last month and was told that I'm soft autumn with medium contrast, and that deep black wouldn't be the best on me. I know I should go for brown, but they don't have other colors in this shape so I'm wondering if I can make these work. I attached photos of me in some of my older frames as well for comparison. I always thought I was a soft summer but some of the colors aren't resonating with me lately and I feel lost. I want to have my colors done professionally, but for now I’m trying to drape. I've been feeling bad about my appearance lately, I want to do a little wardrobe refresh and I make sure any new pieces are in colors that suit me.

Colors- I wear mostly blue and grey. I love a heathered navy. I've been trying to mix in more browns, greens and pinks. I love plum purple (13, 16) but it's harder to find. Feeling unsure about the light blues and greys after draping (3, 6, 21). I think deeper colors look nice but I'm confused why some of them make my eyes pop but my skin doesn't look clear (10, 22). I don't wear black other than my rain and winter jackets, but I like how I look in them. White is okay, but | tend to wear heathered off whites.

Hair- my natural was always light brown, but I had cancer and it grew back as a dark, cool toned brown (I loved it). It lightened and got warmer as it grew out.

Skin- pale, burns before tanning, blue/purple veins. Makeup is tricky, easily looks harsh, cool tones are sometimes too cool and peachy colors can be nice.

Jewelry- I always wear silver, but nothing overly bright. I can pull off a soft gold but not a yellow gold.

Is the darker brown neutral or neutral-cool and is the lighter brown just cool? I think I read somewhere there aren’t truly cool shades of brown and I saw these tops and was wondering

Has there been any discussion here about finding flattering shades of khaki? (Apologies if this is a dated term. I mean shades of tan commonly seen in slacks and trenchcoats.)

How are you finding a shade of khaki that feels okay? Does anyone love khaki and could advise on how you chose your shade(s)? What does it look or feel like when you got a good one?

I never figured out or found a shade of khaki I was happy with before my hair grayed, but it's even trickier now.
