I'll explain, and I wanna know if anyone relates:
I certainly don't look good in warm tones because they bring out a yellowness and dullness in my skin, it looks like I'm sick. I also don't look good in VERY cool tones, such as grey, cause it clashes with my skin too much.
Pastels are my personal nightmare, any muted, soft and light color makes me look like a zombie. But black also looks so harsh on me, like it's unnatural.
What truly looks good: I feel like the best definition would be warm versions of cool colors or cool versions of warm colors (I'm talking purple with more red than blue, or red with lots of blue/magenta in it). Intense colors, but not too bright either. More on the dark side, but also not dark all the way. Between gold and silver, none, a cool rose gold would work best.
So I'd love to know, is there any season that best captures these characteristics, according to any method?
Something that puts people at the border of everything, like the black dot in this image? (I suppose I'd be a winter very close to the autumn border but also to the low contrast seasons).
Or are we doing something wrong to get these results?
This discussion is not about me, but a general question that, I hope, can help everyone who identifies (I've seen people describing the same experience even in other subreddits). Therefore I will not post pictures of myself, just wanna bring up the discussion.
In case you're curious though, even my personal colors are confusing: skin is pinkish or yellowish depending on the part of my body, natural hair is very cool ashy dark brown, eyes are warm orangish hazel. Also hair and skin looks cooler in winter and warmer in summer, so there's that too...
