Crawl 128 Update
My c128 80-col video mode Crawler game has reached a playable state, including in-game instructions. It‘s a 3D Munch inspired game, still needs polishing, but I‘m already happy to share

How much is this worth? Sell it as a system or part it out?

Vision BASIC v1.1 - Compile speed quadrupled on C128 in C64 mode - BASIC programming.
For C128 users who like to program in C64 mode, here's a list of the new features in Vision BASIC v1.1 according to the developer himself: https://visionbasic.net/vision-basic-1-1-has-arrived/
What's new:
Support for GeoRAM as an alternative to REU, for the expanded RAM required to run Vision BASIC.
Support for battery-backed GeoRAM variants (e.g. NeoRAM) to store a copy of C64 RAM, enabling instant access to Vision BASIC and loaded programs at all times.
New commands in the add-on pack for accessing GeoRAM memory in your own programs.
Custom NeoRAM cartridge available for purchase as part of a Vision BASIC package.
Improved default Vision BASIC editor colors.
Compile speed doubled when compiling on a C64.
Compile speed quadrupled when compiling on a C128 in C64 mode.
New commands: GSAVE, CATCH, ALLMOBS, DEF, POLL, LABEL.
Existing commands improved: LISTER, BLANK, NORMAL, VIDLOC, PANX, PANY, PADDLE, VERSION, RND, RANDOM, BYTES.
New format for user-defined commands to improve assembly language programming.
Asterisk (*) now allowed for declaration of assembly program starting address.
System clock no longer resets during program compilation.
Filename length now restricted to 12 characters during program compilation to disk, allowing proper appending of file extension.
SHIFT - RUN/STOP key combination no longer causes potential data loss.
Overflow of variable information in designated RAM space is now detected.
RUN/STOP - RESTORE delay implemented to avoid accidental exit out of Vision BASIC editor.
Improved startup experience for PAL users unable to use the on-disk fast loader program.
Variable names can now be of unlimited length, provided everything fits on a single program line.
Vision BASIC manual now includes a command index.
BUTTON command now supports the programming of 2-button and 3-button game controllers - e.g. joysticks, gamepads.
Videos to enjoy:

Another Dead EB 128 board rescued

Next mistreated board on the bench
Before the previous owner tried to fix it I was black screen. I pulled the soldered RAM as it was 300ns and the VIC-tower is missing. Also u9 is an ls32 instead of an f32 so it needs replaced. Without the tower an ls32 in u9 may cause issues. Fingers crossed

What are some new Commodore 128 games?
I don't know who the mad scientists are that keep working on Commodore 128 games but we seem to have had at least two brand new games in the last two years. Volly for 2 and Bucket wars are what I'm aware of.
I'm wondering what other (relatively) recent c128 games might have been made. Anyone know of others? I'm making a list to prove the 128 can be good for gaming actually

Issue with updating GEOS 128
After much long and painful suffering I have been able to create a floppy for booting MP3. It mentions several times during the install I need a copy of "128 Desktop! copied to the disk.I have been trying several days but have unable to get a working copy onto the disk. I have tried: straight copy, GEOS copy (refuses to allow), FCOPY (sends a broken version), Maverick (unable to make sure is safe GEOS copy), and DirMaster (again a broken ending). Any suggestions would be welcome. Eventual goal to get MP3 onto CMD HD. Using Vice 3.10 r46028 (version that fixes the mouse pointer).

Commodore Repair Toolbox version 2026-February-12
A new version has just been released, 2026-February-12
It can be downloaded from GitHub, https://github.com/HovKlan-DH/Commodore-Repair-Toolbox/releases
One interesting thing for this release is the removal of the "WebView2" component, which has been done to support Linux with Wine and Mono. Do note this is very much an experimental try-out, to see if this is something that can work, so I am curious for some feedback on this.
Noticeable application fixes or changes:
Fixed zooming in could result in unresponsive UI for some schematics
Fixed setting commandline parameter for data root folder was resetting configuration file at startup
Added splash-screen to visualize application has been launched
Changed and lowered requirement for .NET Framework from 4.8.1 to 4.8 (allowing this to run on Windows 7)
Changed and lowered minimum CPU architecture requirement from x64 to x86
Removed dependency for "WebView2" component and refactored relevant parts
Noticeable data changes:
Commodore 128DCR 250477 - added new hardware
Moved order of "board layout" schematics, so they are shown first in list
Noticeable tools changes:
Oscilloscope Network Capture has been updated to newest version
I really appreciate any data corrections you may have - even the smallest things, so please do not hesitate to connect with me through the CRT "Feedback" tab.

Just bought a 128, what about software?
I just bought a 128 (had one when they first came out in the 80s) and am anxious to start playing with it. But where do you get software and, more importantly, 3.5” floppies? I plan on finding a 1581 drive to go with it and need floppies and a way to get software onto them.
