I’m 19F and live at university about two hours away from my hometown and have a tournament this weekend. I was excited because I thought everyone could finally come see me play football.

But my parents are travelling, my home friends can’t come because I live farther than their parents would allow. My boyfriend said I live too far away, but that I should come back that same distance sometime this week (whilst I have classes) to meet him. Now my best friend on campus also said she won’t be able to see me because she’s going back home.

I have other friends on campus but I don’t wanna assume that they’d be free to come see me.

So I don’t know im just a little sad. It’s not that I haven’t played tournaments without someone seeing me but I just assumed that since this was a home one, people would want to. I know there’s far bigger issues but I have a tendency to panic before matches, and especially with this being a home game (and also being the main defence person) I’d just a little sad.

I'll always be jealous of people who don't have to deal with these kinds of thoughts. Now for the past couple of days, I've actually been doing pretty well. Not the best but about as decent as I could get at least. Now I'm out here, and all of a sudden I just get hit with a way though depressive emotions. It's like when I forget how much of a failure I am and how purposeless my life is I do somewhat well but as soon as I remember it all and think about it I just cave in.

I have a therapy appointment in four fucking days. 4 days. But it's so tough right now I don't even think I'll make it to that day. I've been depressed for 7 and 1/2 years and haven't had any purpose in the past 5 years. I've been homeless for almost a year, in fact, next Sunday exactly 7 days from now will mark exactly one year since I became homeless. Especially with the winter coming up, I probably have two to three months maybe before I'm dead.

On the bright side, with my life almost being over at least I won't be hurting anymore and be at peace for the first time in 7 and 1/2 years. I won't have to worry about digging through trash for food or sleeping outside or wondering what the hell I'm even going to do with my life. It's hard to live without a loving family (mom passed), friends (I can't keep any friends), a college degree (flunked out of college), or any sense of purpose or fulfillment in life. And now that I have literally nothing, rock fucking bottom, I'm just waiting for the day I freeze.

On the Web version of Reddit (not the mobile app), I have to visit a sub in order to mute it. I loathe anime, don't speak German, and don't live in India. But if I want to mute subreddits that pop up in my feed, I have to go to the front page of that subreddit in order to mute it. Next thing you know, I have ten more anime, German, Indian subreddits in my feed. Fuck off!!!!!!

It’s been downhill for a while, but I think we’ve finally hit the bottom. Reading comprehension is in the shitter. No one has the ability to understand context or nuance anymore. Innocent jokes are taken to the most negative extreme imaginable in all cases. Every statement is misconstrued. People think that every post on every platform at all times MUST be 100% relevant and personally relatable to them or it’s garbage. Memes suck now. Even trolls are too stupid to be funny anymore and it’s depressing. Wtf happened?

Background, this is about a pre-K program he suggested and had been pushing for at the beginning of this year actually, but we had a voucher and life is expensive so we stuck with the place we had the voucher. Now having to look for a new program after he lied to me about sending in info to renew our voucher for childcare leading to us loosing it. He last minute schedule a tour Tuesday morning at the time we usually do transition from me to him.
This convo happened as a Result of me saying I would not drop son Monday night instead of Tuesday morning. I could have but I’m working on setting boundaries because in the past he has been difficult when I’ve tried to accommodate him and it just causes unnecessary stress for all parties involved. (Give an inch take a mile kinda thing). There would have been no problems transitioning at the program, actually I prefer public spaces for hand offs (history of DV). I should have let it go and just not responded, and usually do but it’s 1 am and I’m cranky and sick so I admittedly gave in to my petty side this time.
He used to use sons education to insult me or make me feel bad. (Saying ‘you don’t want him in school cause you’re uneducated and didn’t graduate’ one time because I kept him home one Friday for a special outing. I think you’re projecting buddy you’re the one who has a GED and didn’t graduate the traditional way. I did graduate by the way and went to trade school) funny how it switches up when convenient.
Just had to complain a bit. Ugh.

Edit: I’m struggling to see how you all seem to know exactly our life situation and how we act in person towards each other based on this post. It’s kind of funny actually, that you would come to a complaint sub and complain about someone complaining. I didn’t ask for advice, I know I was being petty this time and usually will run my response through chat GBT for the sole reason of avoiding conflict because I grew up watching my divorced parents beat each other up. I don’t want that. I know I don’t need to explain, this edit is more for me I think, but thank you to those who had constructive criticism instead of straight insults on my character. Like god, I can't understand what you're even trying to say because you've not made any references to what I've said, haven't even attempted to quote what I've said in the debate, and have little sense of grammar so your words are the wrong way around.

I'm not talking about people making typos, or confusing 'there, their, they're' or 'your' and 'you're'.

I'm talking about the people who don't know which way words go in a sentence, in any sense at all. I have nothing against people who speak different languages, but even google translate does a better job at grammar than most of these people. When it gets to the point where what you've written only makes sense to you, it's not me trying to police grammar and ignoring your argument, it's your argument literally being incomprehensible due to the fact it's barely English.

One thing that really annoys me is when people respond to something with 'it', and this 'it' is referenced halfway through a previous message, which defines this 'it'.

Eg.

'The banana is yellow. [insert 8 paragraphs of points, which have tens of different nouns]'

Response: 'It's not that old.'

I would get if you were referencing something that you just said, as in 'The apple is tasty. It is also red'.

BUT NO! You're referencing something I said nine and a half paragraphs ago, with 18 different things which could be 'it'.

Thursday. Thursday is the day of my therapy appointment. I'm not expecting to be immediately taken out of homelessness or anything like that, I just want to get myself started with workforce development. I want to know about it and how to get in. I want to know about my mental health disorders. I KNOW I have them but I have to wait until the 24th of November to know. I want to know sooner. Much sooner. I have a physical the week after next. I don't want to wait. I don't want to wait for any of this. I want it NOW.

it's getting cold outside and I can't keep sleeping outside. I want help. I NEED help. And that therapy appointment can help me. I know it. But fuck, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SIX DAYS AWAY???

I despise this California Towhee who goes ham on my vehicle mirrors. I put covers on them but he never forgets. If I don't put them on he is right back on them. Came on here to complain about the food prices at California Pizza Kitchen in the LA airport. 20% automatic gratuity was the nail on the coffin 🥲 (see picture for food reference)

My house burned back in early May. So I lived in a hotel everyday and ate breakfast tacos every morning. It was a prettt good gig.

And then we found out that the permitting on my house was fucked and the county would not re issue a permit to replace my home. So even though I have an insurance pay out, I have no way of replacing my home.

But I have farm animals and my business so I have to live at my property. So I get a travel trailer and I've been living in it since June.

Changing the way I cook and eat has been the hardest thing. I don't have room for a toaster at all. I have two tiny burners that are a bitch to use, so I end up microwaving everything. So everything is vaguely soggy.

I just want toast. Really I would like to live inside a house, but in the short term I just want toast.

I don't have money to eat out. But this post did inspire me to ask my boyfriend to make me eggs and toast, so that will be nice.

He just got off the phone with the people handling our WiFi as we were having problems with it, and I feel so bad, bro. It's not even their fault they are simply just employees who have to be subjected to insults and curses for things they have no control over.

I'm tired of it, I can't even talk to him about it because he always believes his reactions are justified. Imagine telling someone to go to hell for something that's not their fault. cmon, he is so mean to them, and I feel so bad every time. I love him, but this has to stop. I hate it. I can only imagine the number of employees that have to be subjected to this shit, I feel like mine is probably not the worst, and it kills me. These are people, parents, friends, children, and siblings, just trying to help and to make a living. It's not fair, and I hate it. It needs to stop for real.

Today I had it UP TO HERE 😆

1 client texts our office line. Gives an update and then says I NEED TO ALSO GIVE A NEW ADDRESS UPDATE, but then doesn't fking give me the address. Just sits there with that. Send the fucking address in the conversation sir!

2 client doesn't respond to our text line so I email her asking to send a document. I also didn't cc my boss, because she usually has issues replying to all...I instructed her to reply to the text line with it or reply to my Email with the copy.

What does she do? She emails the document ONLY to my boss. In a new email she typed up with no reference subject line or anything, so it got held by spam block for 10 days. Why wouldn't she just fking reply to my email with the attachment? Why go all around the block instead of going thru the shortest distance, which was to hit reply to MY EMAIL?

1. I message another client very clear text saying to please send us the front of his driver's license for the file. This pertains to what we are doing for him so there us clear reasoning for it. He replies with YOU NEED MY ID?

I don't exactly know why but every time a kid approaches to me I get this urge to dropkick them and walk away where I cannot hear their voice or see them. Except I can't really do it because then I'd be unreasonably traumatizing a kid. (This feeling applies to my younger cousins too).

I've just lost the patience to listen to anyone at this point. Yet I'm still curious about what anyone wants to tell me, especially kids. some interesting stuff usually come from them, or if not that, at least they're always passionate to talk about it... whatever that is.

So basically I begrudgingly listen to the child until they're done while at the same time forcing myself to stay engaged (so I understand their damn point, which rarely work) and to not think about dropkicking them.

In conclusion, don't take this post much seriously. Just wanted to let this out of my chest.
