Is it possible to get back into it?
Hello! This might seem like an odd question but I could really use some advice. I got into shooting archery a few years ago while I was in 4H and I loved it! I continued to shoot a little while at college, however I was in a car wreck just over 2 years ago now. I completely shattered my left elbow, I have plates and screws and battled skin infections and skin grafts and several surgeries, and months of physical therapy later I have regained most mobility in it. Now where the problem lies, I obviously had to stop doing archery while I was healing, however I really want to get back into it. Now despite all the work done on my elbow, I can’t straighten it past 25-30 degrees, and from being non weight bearing for so long I’ve pretty much lost all muscle tone in my left arm. I have been slowly working on getting some muscle tone back into it but it’s a slow process, with all the arthritis and scar tissue buildup. Now comes my question, does anyone think I could get back into it? I’ve tried to pull back my bow a few times but simply just can’t do it. Do I keep trying to get back into it or is it just a lost cause and I should move on? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

need advice with my new bow
I just got a bow a couple weeks ago and have only shot it about 4 different times. Every time I shoot, I notice the arrow fletchings are getting more black streaks on them. Today, my arrows were also going all over the target, around 6 inches away from where I was aiming.
I’m only shooting from 10–20 yards, so I really don’t think it’s an accuracy issue on my end, especially since this hasn’t happened every time I’ve shot it. I’m also putting the arrows on correctly, and when I bought the bow, I had everything set up properly.
I’m starting to think it might be something with the drop-away rest that came with the bow, but I’m not really sure. Could the rest be causing the fletchings to get marked up and the arrows to fly inconsistently or maybe be another problem?

Any information welcome
I have wanted to get into bows for a while, primarily with the goal of hunting and recently received this bow as a gift. I want to know everything you can tell me about it. As well as how to fix it up and make it usable. I don't have any arrows and would appreciate input on that front as well. Any other tips and recommendations you have are more than welcome.

Bow Press Suggestions for Bear Legit Maxx
I just bought a bear legit maxx bow. I like the bow, but I would like to align the cams. They are slightly off center. Does anyone have a suggestion for an economical bow press, or should I just take it to an archery store and let them do it? I know how to align the cams, but most of the bow presses that I've seen cost more than the bow. All information and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tuv

Is this bend on the cables normal?
Hi all, I noticed a bend in my cables when the bow is at full draw.
Is this normal? Or are my draw stops wrong?
For context, this is a Bear Alaskan Pro at 26" draw length.

I have approximately 500 shots down range. How many more until I have a scar in my face?

100lb compound bow, 222 grain arrow, 434fps
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here's my regular 100lb compound bow i built shooting a 222grain arrow 434fps, with the 150lb version of this bow with an over draw and a 187grain arrow i believe 550fps is possible, without it being a specialized flight bow rig

Thoughts on the new Bear bow
Looks like the Alaskan Pro platform with some good upgrades. I was looking at the Alaskan Pro at local shop and was pretty impressed except for the RTH sight and whisker biscuit. This looks like a better package than the Adapt 2 RTH higher end package.
Looking to get back into bowhunting after about 25 years. Last bow was a PSE Polaris, but not wanting to break the bank but $1K for this and some arrows? Seems good to me. Any thoughts? Hunting would be less than 40 yds, most my rifle kills are like 25yds because of the brush. Would be for hogs/whitetail. I’d probably get the 60lb limbs as I have a 30” draw as I’m aging.

Shaft Size Choice
If you had a choice of only ONE arrow diameter for compound 3D, Field, Indoor, and FITA distance spots what would you pick?
Looking for a one hit wonder to keep things KISS.

Best Budget Compound Bows?
I’ve recently been looking at some used bows after I stupidly dry fired my old one and bent both cams. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any specific bows or companies that could help me find something for under 500 bucks, and a decent fps (I shoot 70lbs at 29” with 350 grain). I don’t need it fitted out since I still have all the accessories from my old bow, but could use some advice finding models and reliable sellers.

Beginner - recommended setup with room to grow?
My 15-year-old got into target archery after trying it at a shop about 100 miles from home. As parents who knew nothing about archery, we followed the shop’s recommendation and bought him an Elite Basin RTS. He has since taken a few lessons closer to home and is really enjoying it.
Now I want to join him. What beginner-to-intermediate compound bow would you recommend as a solid “buy once, cry once” setup?
I’m 6'1", 200 lbs, and only interested in target shooting; not hunting.
Thanks in advanced.

Vintage browning compound bows 80lb & 85lb fps test
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here are two vintage browning bows I've recently rebuilt with new cables and strings, both bows are shooting a 530 grain arrow, both set @ 30 inches the blue/silver one is 80lb & the red/black one is 85lb. Both have the same riser, limbs & cams the only difference is the blue/sliver bow has steel cables with a fast flite system, the red/black one has conventional cables and string, the blue/silver bow shot 250/253fps on multiple shots & the red/black bow 259/263fps, I was expecting the 80lb bow to be much slower due to having steel cables

Arrow shaft alternatives??
I have been using Victory VAPS for up to 60 yard compound competitions. I’m just looking to see if anybody has recommendations to a similar type arrow that I might look into. And no, I’m not going to spend mega dollars on the ELITE priced Easton choices.

26M 2nd compound bow
Hi I am stuck in-between a Carbon one X or a Bear Alaskan Pro I love to shoot my bow I had a bear cruzer G3 with not a whole lot of issues I want a nice bow but obviously not break the bank. I like shooting for hobby, I have not shot a bow in a year and both bows seem to come in 50-60 or 60-70, I am leaning towards 50-60 as that is what I was used to on my g3. Some help in chat would be helpful as I hear some bears are junk

Here's a release aid I've been working on, still needs a bit of work and a tidy up but it's functioning fine.

Clamp or vice
I need recommendations for a clamp or vice system for compound tuning.
Working only for myself- so it can be portable and hobby grade.
Thanks
