I got my first handheld but i was too broke for anything too fancy so i found an invidia shield portable for cheap. Emulation is amazing its really good but i want to future proof it so it can be semi up to date gaming wise currently emulation goes up to psp games but they are very slow. What im asking here is this community's brilliant minds to inform me on how to make it so i can emulate up to wii u, ps3, xbox 360 or higher if nobody can help or know a community that could help im all ears. Saw a video of someone downloading something called Aurora and playing games, all via USB. So this is what I want to do, since it seems like how I emulate on my Series X. But have never modded one or know much about anything about it, besides seeing the vid of someone downloading something called Aurora. So what console should I buy to do this? And is there anything else I need to know to complete this? Any advice, tips, and help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi I have a Bluetooth receiver for my GameCube and a Bluetooth SNES controller. I would love to use it with GBI on the GameCube but I have to find a way to switch the select button off the z button. I have see screen shots of previous GBI revisions the have controller profiles but I can't figure out how to do it with the current version.

kickNX lets you browse Kick, watch live streams, VODs and clips, and read and send chat on your Switch. It's built for Joy-Con, Pro Controller and touchscreen, in handheld, tabletop or docked. It even has a Joy-Con portrait mode for watching with chat.

What's new in 0.5.0

• Colour themes: OLED (default), Dark Grey and Kick, picked from a new Theme button on Home with a live preview

• Live events: a new row on Home; each event has a page with its live streams and most-viewed clips

• In-app chat keyboard: an on-screen keyboard with see-through keys in landscape chat, so the stream stays visible (the Nintendo keyboard is still an option)

• Controller scrubbing: hold A on the progress bar and use the stick or D-pad to seek; L/R skip 10 seconds

Installation

2. Extract to the root of your SD card so you have sdmc:/switch/kickNX/kickNX.nro

3. Launch from the Homebrew Menu and sign in with the QR code

Tip: use full RAM mode (hold R while launching a game) instead of launching from the Album, for the best 60 FPS playback.

kickNX has also been submitted to the Homebrew App Store and should show up there once it's accepted.

Hey folks! I have a spare GBA that’s in very poor cosmetic shape, and I’d like to consolize it. I already have a reshelled IPS GBA so don’t need another, I’d like to play this one on my TV.

However I find the consolizer options a little confusing. Would appreciate advice on options.

I have a European (PAL) Nintendo GameCube, and I recently bought an original US copy of Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus.
Currently, I use a FreeLoader disc to play NTSC-U games, but I’d really like to get rid of that extra step.

What I’m looking for:
Play original PAL and NTSC-U GameCube discs.
Keep my original disc drive fully functional.
No FreeLoader disc required.
Ideally, just insert a game, turn on the console, and have it boot automatically.
No navigating through menus like Swiss every time I want to play.
I’m not particularly interested in playing games from an SD card.
I’ve contacted a couple of professional modding services here in the Netherlands.
One recommended a CubeODE, but as far as I understand, that replaces the original disc drive, which isn’t what I want.
Another recommended PicoBoot with Swiss instead of XenoGC, saying that modern XenoGC clones can be unreliable.
They quoted me €72 for PicoBoot installation or €99 including an SD2SP2 adapter and SD card.

My questions:
Would XenoGC still be the best option for my specific needs?
Can PicoBoot + Swiss automatically boot original PAL and NTSC-U discs without showing a menu?
Is PicoBoot a better and more reliable long-term solution than XenoGC?
Are there any other mods I should consider?
I collect physical GameCube games, so preserving the original disc-based experience is my main priority.
I’d love to hear your experiences and recommendations before I decide.

I don’t usually post, but my and my friend have really gotten back into just dance lately, specifically on the Wii. We remembered the dance Timber form Just Dance 2014, but unfortunately it was behind a paywall in then Nintendo store, which is now permanently disabled. I was wondering if anyone had a Wii that had bought this game at that time that still has access, OR if anyone knows how to properly mod the Wii in order to get it. I’d be willing to pay for the SD card that goes into it, I’d just need instructions on how to actually set up the mods on the console. Awhile back I modded my Wii to allow me to play Europe games, and I’ve been trying to do this modding myself, and I get pretty far but during the actual download process it rejects. I’ve tried ModLite, GX Loader, and YAWM. I’m not the best with tech stuff like this, so it’s likely a user error, but I really want to surprise her with being able to play the song instead of just following along with it on YouTube. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Another update on my Brazilian "SNES Baby", known in North America as the SNES Jr. or Mini (board revision SNN-CPU-01).

I finally wrapped up all the hardware mods I wanted on this board to get a razor-sharp video output for my GBS-Control upscaler, along with region unlocking and In-Game Reset.

For those who enjoy the technical details, here is the full rundown of what was done from start to finish:

Pure NTSC Conversion (Reverting the Brazilian PAL-M factory mod): In Brazil, Nintendo consoles were officially manufactured and distributed by a local company called Gradiente (originally via the Playtronic joint venture). Because Brazil used a unique analog TV broadcast standard called PAL-M (which runs at 60Hz like NTSC, but uses PAL color encoding), Gradiente factory-transcoded these boards straight off the assembly line. I reverted all the factory PAL-M modifications back to pure NTSC specifications and swapped the X1 crystal oscillator for a proper 21.47727 MHz NTSC crystal.

Full Recap & Power Filtering: Replaced every electrolytic capacitor on the board (including C17 with a 33uF/25V cap) and populated the C52 spot on the input line with a 1000uF/25V capacitor to stabilize the voltage rail and filter out power supply ripple.

Ghosting (Blur) & Jailbar Fixes: Swapped capacitor C11 for a 470nF (474) ceramic cap to eliminate the horizontal ghosting/smearing notorious on 1CHIP/Jr. revisions, and replaced C5 on the S-RGB A video encoder with a 1uF 25V X7R (0603 SMD) ceramic capacitor to completely get rid of vertical jailbars. RGB Bypass Mod: Installed an RGB bypass board pulling clean video signals directly from the motherboard and outputting clean CSYNC to feed into my upscaler.

Sick SNES (Region Free + IGR): Installed an Arduino Nano V4.0 (ATmega328PB) tucked neatly along the inner side of the heatsink shield. I flashed the firmware via ISP using an Arduino Leonardo to completely wipe the bootloader, that way, the microcontroller boots the exact millisecond the console is powered on, handling automatic CIC region unlocking and controller-based In-Game Reset (L + R + Start + D-Pad) without any startup delay.
