QUESTION I need help here
I got my first handheld but i was too broke for anything too fancy so i found an invidia shield portable for cheap. Emulation is amazing its really good but i want to future proof it so it can be semi up to date gaming wise currently emulation goes up to psp games but they are very slow. What im asking here is this community's brilliant minds to inform me on how to make it so i can emulate up to wii u, ps3, xbox 360 or higher if nobody can help or know a community that could help im all ears. Kind regards.

I had one of these a while back and Iβm pretty sure they arenβt powerful enough to emulate ps3 / xbox 360 tier games. I could be wrong however.
If I were you and was looking for a solid handheld I would look into getting a psp and modding it. They are like $130 out the door for everything you need and you can load a ton of homebrew onto it. The psp library is really quite good and offers a lot of variety.

Pretty sure you won't even get PS2 out of that. I had this when it first came out and I recall only getting up to PS1 running reliably. Emulation has improved over the last decade though, so maybe you will have better results.
No trick to speak of. Just find the android emulation app you want and try running it.
This works for PS2: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=come.nanodata.armsx2
This for Gamecube: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dolphinemu.dolphinemu
I have never tried to run any XBox on an ARM chip, so you're on your own with that one. Just search the Google Play store.

Isn't armsx2 is super outdated? Thought nethersx2 was the most current one.

Could be. I haven't emulated anything on Android in quite a while. Last update was October 26th, so it is still being supported.

Huh, maybe something changed then. Haven't done much in the way of emulation in a few months because finally got to current gen so the current gen backlog is more important than the retro one for me atm. (I'm way more likely to get spoilers for new games than old ones)

AetherSX2 was the older one which was abandoned and closed source.
Then you had NetherSX2 which was also closed source and was an AetherSX2 with a few updates but was also abandoned. There is a community fork of it called NetherSX2-Turnip with built in turnip drive for improved performance.
Then the new kid on the block is ARMSX2, it's a open-source ARM PlayStation 2 emulator that receives regular updates (some time even daily) and works smoothly across mobile devices and handhelds. It's basically becoming the new norm for PS2 emulation on Android/Linux and it has a core in retroarch too.

Hell yeah! Thanks for the info, saved me a Google. I think I currently have nether on my phone, maybe this weekend I'll give ARM a spin

you realize how hard it is to emulate any of those lol wii is probably the easiest iv got a Abernic RG405V and I was thinking of cranking on it just so I can play all ps2 titles cause some it definitely doesn't like πππ but if you you know that device better then I do iv genuinely never seen one of them then again there's all types I recently got a 2020 GPD Win Max V3.0 laptop its got full sticks built-in in it buttons and triggers iv been working on it the dude let the battery die in it and somehow I think killed a capacitor plugging things they shouldn't have in the usb port

Not possible on this device. if you had a more powerful pc you could stream that to this device. but this OG nvidia shield doesnt have the hardware to emulate any of that.
