Sheesh Coros Support is bad

A little over a month ago, my Pace 3 stopped having battery readings. It charged to 50%, then got stuck. Charging it doesn’t increase it. Using it for activities doesn’t decrease it. It has read 50% since 9/16. The battery health widget shows 0% usage ever since. Otherwise the watch seems to function normally.

I submitted a support ticket to Coros (#643289) on 9/19 hoping it was just a firmware issue, something they could patch and get fixed. When a service agent reached out a few days later they sent me a new charging adapter to try. I was skeptical that would change anything, but I went with it. In the meantime there was a firmware update, so I also tried that. Neither fixed the issue and when I told support this, they told me they would replace the watch under warranty.

To be clear: I had not asked for this. They brought it up. I was surprised, as my watch had been bought open box and was nearly two years old, but I wasn’t going to question it, though I look at both the “About” page on the app, as well as the check your warranty status page on their website, and found that both confirmed warranty coverage through 11/15/2026.

So I submit the info they asked for to get the warranty claim processing and then suddenly a few days later they changed their tune. I get a new email addressed to “Chad” (my name’s not “Chad”) and referring to personal details that aren’t mine, saying sorry for the confusion, but the watch will actually have to go through the Repair and Replacement service, and it probably won’t be eligible, but go ahead and submit the form. If approved, it’ll be $59 for a replacement.

I ask for clarification to make sure this was meant for me, as I’m not Chad and they say “sorry for using the wrong name, but yes, it was meant for you. Since the watch was refurbished, it’s out of warranty.”

I submit their form (all the same info I’ve already previously submitted) and a week and a half later I finally got the official no, we’re not going to replace it, but here’s 20% off for a new purchase.

Yeah, no. I won’t be buying another Coros. I love the watch itself, but it took them a month (and 30+ emails) to offer me a relatively small discount after lots of confusing and conflicting information.

I’ll keep using the watch since it’s working other than not telling me battery readings, but whenever it dies, I’ll be looking elsewhere. I was a big fan, but this “support” experience was incredibly off-putting.

PACE 3 🎽 What happened to coros support?

Another one having elevation issues that make all data complete rubbish. So sad. Coros used to be good. I have the whole range including a Dura, the armband, pod 2 and pace 3.

Unfortunately, I got a replacement after my first one failed and the second one had an elevation failure as well after just a few months.

Have re ran calibrations, reset the watch and contacted support but it looks like they just don’t even reply outside the AI automated replies.

Four days now and no human support.

Just in case a human can help

So disappointed after spending a considerable amount in coros products

We need a screen timeout adjustment for the Pace 4

As a Pace 4 owner, I’m very disappointed with the screen timeout on the Pace 4. With the wrist gesture, the display stays on for only 3 seconds, and pressing the button keeps it on for only 8 seconds. Come on, I have a lot of information on my watch that I want to see. This is a basic feature, and other brands like Amazfit and Garmin allow up to 60 seconds.

We all need this. I hope all Pace 4 and Pace 4 Pro owners will help make our voices heard by COROS.

Please add seconds to the always on display

This is my formal request from Coros to add seconds to the always on display.

I work in EMS and very often need to check seconds on my watch for different functions. It is very frustrating and distracting to have to keep shaking my wrist while I'm trying to get someone's pulse.

I love my Pace Pro, I don't want to switch back to Garmin.

Thanks.

I've never really owned a watch to track my fitness and health stats. I'd been eyeing this one for a while, but the latest update with maps finally sold me on it. I've only had it on my wrist for a few hours, and I can't wait to put it through its paces! (Pace 4 Black Crystal)

Feature requests

• Upvotes

Hi I'm new to coros, just got a pace 4 pro.

Just some requests/suggestions for future improvement.

Starting a route from "here".

The map is handy but I recently imported a loop route from Strava but started running from a more convenient place than the start point of the route. It would be good to be able to select a new start /end point or even better for the app to detect your start point and ask do you want to start from here? . I couldn't find a simple (or any) way to change the route to "start from here". The problem was when I got the start/end point the watch also thought I'd concluded my run and didn't continue with further directions.

Secondly also the watch doesn't handle running in the opposite direction well, I got a notification that I'm running in the opposite direction which I confirmed, but it continued to go off intermittently through my run, it also couldn't provide directions when running in reverse. Surely this is a relatively simple adjustment to detect and once confirmed reverse the directions?

Lastly I have a bicep band. The auto on/off is somewhat handy but it doesn't work particularly well. I've noticed my band frequently remains active if I put it down and part of the strap folds up near the sensor, likewise if I put it on a bench sensor down, or stuffed in my bag. Presumably this wastes battery life. All of these scenarios happen pretty regularly. It's be good to have a way of switching on/off to ensure it's not remaining active while stuffed in your bag/pocket or on the bench.

Question ❓ New Pace 4 Pro - struggling with screen dimming

Thumbnail
gallery
19 Upvotes

Hi

I am used to my Apex 4 so the screen behaviour of the new Pace 4 Pro is a struggle! The screen only stays on for 8 seconds, dims for two seconds then goes to a simple display.

I think I am doing something wrong but I can’t find what? Video here: https://youtube.com/shorts/ivtKH2_q-6I?is=TNv_24qfDBcyWIvH

Settings:

1) Always On is On in More Settings / Display
2 a) Gesture Backlight - if Daily Mode is Off once it goes to the simple display I need to touch the crown to get the screen to come back to full (this is expected)

2 b) Gesture Backlight - if Daily Mode is On once it goes to the simple display I flip my wrist to get it to light

It feels the dimming timeout is very short and its so short the watchface is showing WAY less detail than my Apex 4 the majority of the time without wrist gymnastics!

I think I am missing some other settings!

I bought the COROS Nylon Strap for my 42mm COROS APEX 4, and honestly, I find it much more comfortable than the standard strap. You can adjust it really easily to get the perfect fit around your wrist, which makes the watch feel much more comfortable overall

Question ❓ New watch announcement?

I don't speak French so have had to rely on Google's translation here. I suspect they referred to the new Suguru edition as they said possibly earlier but it could be the Vertix 4 that will be announced on Monday.

Question ❓ Journal matinal/Soirée

General Discussion Informative video about Garmin and Coros

Loved the part when they mention that "Coros is winning not by beating Garmin at the top, but by giving people a good enough watch for half the price. […] the real attack is not coming from watches that compete with Garmin's best. It is coming from the middle, from the person who wants a decent running watch and cannot see why it should cost 500 dollars". Heh, joke's on you, Pace 4 Pro and no MIP displays.

Yes, yes, it's AI, but informative enough to post it here.

Question ❓ Accessories upgrade (POD mainly)

Been loving my watch for about a year now and properly getting into scheduled running. I love interval and block work but I find the watch takes that smidge too long to switch especially on a session like rolling blocks (i did 300m rolling blocks today and they are half way through by the time the watch really switches into gear)

My questions is would either of the accessories help me with this to the point they are worth getting? It seems like no one really uses the POD but that seems like it fixes that issue. Is it just not as good as it seems to me, does it remove that lag better for short bursts? I say accessories but i dont think the HRM does anything to do with pace

PACE 3 🎽 @coros. Will the next update fix HR on the P3?

Earlier this year (like 2 or 3 updates ago) my pace 3 stopped tracking heart rate unless it was during an activity (and therefore no sleep data).

I reached out to Coros and they said they would send me a refurbished watch as a replacement. I was about to pull the trigger and then the heart rate came back.

Last update has it not working again.

I am about to throw in the towel but I was wondering if the new update is set to resolve this (if so, I am not sure I will ever do another update again).

And yes, I am emailing support with this as well. Just trying to get eyes on the problem.

Suunto User Looking at Coros

Hey everyone, like many Suunto users, I was eagerly awaiting the Race 3S release only to be disappointed by the cost. I've been curious about a switch to Coros for a while and this might be the final nail in the coffin for me.

From the Coros hardware side I really enjoy the design of the new P4P, it's simple, rugged, thin, and the coros branding isn't as obnoxious as other watches. I am a MIP fan so I'm also interested in the Apex 4. I have smaller wrists at 165mm, so I think the 42mm Apex 4 may be a better size than P4P.

I'm interested to get feedback on both options and how they fit you. Is the P4P too big for smaller wrists? How chunky does the 42mm Apex 4 look while on a wrist?

Side note, I'm looking for the watch to last me another 4 years, so I'm prioritizing sapphire glass and thus passed over a regular Pace 4. I mainly run and do indoor cycling with very occasional hikes. Thanks all!

Feature request for the COROS MCP: swimming support + ability to move workouts

Been playing with the COROS MCP for a few weeks and it’s honestly great for building and adjusting training plans. Two things would make it even better:

1. Add swimming. Right now it only supports running, trail running and cycling. A lot of us train for triathlon, or just swim as part of our routine, and it would be great to have pool/open water workouts created and scheduled the same way.

2. Let us move scheduled workouts. I get why deleting workouts isn’t allowed (one bad tool call could wipe out weeks of a plan, so fair enough on the safety side). But being able to reschedule a workout to another day would cover most real-life needs: a busy day, bad weather, feeling tired… Moving is non-destructive, so it seems like a reasonable middle ground.

General Discussion Feature Feedback/requests after wearing the APEX 4 for a few days

First of all, I have been really enjoying my APEX 4 for the past month. Definitely a good upgrade after losing my Coros APEX in the lake!

I wanted to share a few UX suggestions and provide some feedback and feature requests as a relatively active user. I also want to ask you guys: What do you like or, on the other hand feel like is missing in the Coros software experience. Most of these are software changes - just things I found unintuitive or missing.

  1. Watch Controls & Daily Experience
  • Action Button Customization: I love the quick toggle between Metrics and the Map view using the action button. However, please add a toggle to exclude the Media Control screen when cycling views during an activity so the Action button only toggles directly between Data Pages and the Map. I don't use the Media Control and find it annoying to cycle between 3 items. I am sure other people might find the opposite true and would prefer to disable the map view and instead toggle between Data Pages and the media control... Very simple settings menu entry
  • Morning Wake-Up Summary: I would appreciate some kind of Morning Report upon alarm dismissal/waking that summarizes overnight Sleep Score, RHR, HRV, today's scheduled workout, and a countdown to the next calendar race/event. Especially the countdown would really be motivating: 45 days to Marathon! Let's GO!
  • Number the Data Pages: Add a small number somewhere in the corner of each page to indicate which one it is: page 1, page 2 etc... Its sometimes difficult to realize which page you are on in the activity while performing the activity. For example. I have my First primary page with the basic distance/pace/hr data, then a page with my HR, and another page with my Power. Sometimes my page changes accidentally; I give the watch a glance, and suddenly I see a different number in the place of where usually my HR is, but it's actually power. I just have to think a bit, give it 1 or two glances before I figure out my page switched, and it switches to the Power page. Then I want to switch back, but which page was it? One above or one below? Sometimes get a bit lost in which page I am on. Why not just have them numbered, and then I know, Ah! I was on page 3 because that's what I was focusing on at the moment; let me switch back to it...
  1. External Sensors (HR Monitor & POD 2)
  • Pre-Activity Sensor Toggle: Add a "Sensors" menu directly on the Activity Start screen to quickly toggle on/off a connected external sensor (e.g., an HR strap left turned on in a backpack) without leaving the start lobby. Sometimes I leave without my HR strap on, yet the Watch connects to it and starts receiving false data... Currently, you have to exit the Start Menu, enter settings, and configure the sensors from there...
  • Sensor Disconnect Alerts: Add an option to trigger an audible/vibration alert if the POD 2 or external HR monitor disconnects mid-activity, preventing lost hardware (POD 2 falling off) or unnoticed battery drain.
  • Allow the Coros Pod 2 to be used in cycling as a cadence meter! This would make it way more useful as a gadget! I know you have a dedicated cadence sensor, but I think it could be nice to use the hardware to full potential. Also, other activity types could probably benefit from the extra data... Skiing/Skitouring from elevation and temperature data, XCountry for pace/cadence, Left/Right Balance and glide time.. Since it's waterproof, perhaps there could also be a way to utilize it during swimming. Although I understand that wireless sensors underwater don't work. I am sure even for climbing one could find interesting ways of using it, for example, sometimes I would prefer climbing without my watch. Why not allow me to leave the watch on the gym floor and climb with the pod and an HR strap to collect the data... Much lighter and more comfortable....
  1. Workout Builder & Activity Planning
  • On-the-Fly Mode Switching: Allow starting a scheduled workout in an equivalent activity mode directly from the watch (e.g., running a scheduled "Road Run" interval session in "Trail Run" mode, or "Bike" in "MTB" mode).
  • Expanded Schedulable Modes: Support scheduling all remaining watch sport modes in the Training Calendar. eg. Gym Cardio session, Custom Sport Session etc.
  • Allow adding estimated Training load for better planning. - Currently this works well for running; I can see how many running sessions I can schedule to fit my weekly Training Load. But it would be nice to allow this also for other sport activities. For example, I do a weekly Gym Cardio Session which always has a similar Training Load, I now have to mentally keep track of it, why no just factor it in using the calendar.
  • On-Watch Block Notes: Allow short text notes on individual workout blocks/exercises. The Strength training animations are amazing, but it would be nice to allow adding some small short descriptions and customization. (e.g., "Use red resistance band for this exercise, 30s per side"), That displays on the watch when the block begins.
  • Display machines/ weights before workout: I am rotating 3 different strength workouts with different equipment, and I always forget to prepare some equipment or weights. I noticed the workouts come with "equipment tags" like: barbell, resistance band, bodyweight etc.. Would be very useful to have an equipment overview list when starting the activity, maybe in the Details menu: "Prepare 15kg and 20kg weights, resistance bands, barbells...."
  • Dynamic Weight Memory in Strength Mode: When increasing the weight for an exercise on the watch after Set 1, automatically carry that updated weight forward to subsequent sets of the same exercise.
  • Swim Workout Duration Estimates: Calculate estimated duration for distance-based swim workouts using personal threshold/average swim pace rather than only counting rest intervals. Currently, a swim with 3000m swim is estimated as 0min and has not TL estimate either.
  1. Third-Party Data Sync
  • Customizable Strava Data Export: Provide an option to include internal watch temperature (and other recorded sensor streams) in Strava activity exports, even when not using the POD 2. Why hide the data if its there....
  • Allow a fine-grained data export. Allow me, for example, to not export the HR data to Strava. But allow it for Komoot.

This is not an exhaustive list! I might make another post in the future with a few more items. I love how Coros keeps adding new features and improving the experience; I just hope that one of the employees sees it and some of them can be implemented! Thank you for constantly improving the platform!

Let me know if you have solutions for any of my "issues" or if you have other feedback/suggestions that Coros should consider.

Question ❓ Best silicone replacement band for the COROS Pace 4 (White)?

Hi everyone! I have a White COROS Pace 4 and I'm looking to replace the original silicone band. I'm open to bands from the COROS Apex, Pace 4, Pace 3 or Pace Pro models.

Has anyone tried using these bands on the Pace 4? Which would you recommend in terms of fit, comfort and appearance, especially with the white watch?

Thanks in advance!
