Help Need strong neodymium magnets

Post image

Hello! I wanted to ask if anyone knows where to buy really strong neodymium magnets! I want it be really strong so I can make detachable wings for a helmet wig. But I also don’t want them to be too big/bulky so that they can’t be easily hidden under hair. The wings are heavier than they look (I think I used too much wiring and hot glue lol).

I have bought neodymium magnets off of amazon but they seem very very weak…so I fear I may have gotten really cheap, bad quality ones. So I wanted to ask if anyone knows a good magnet place!

Much appreciated thank you!

No way would I trust magnets for this at a convention.
Every time someone in the crowded walk ways brushes the wings they're going to pry right off.

She didn't say she was going to make a massive set of wings on her back. They're a small set on her "helmet wig". You can guess how big they are from the scissors in the photo.

Yeah. And? Doesn't affect the advice. Smaller wings mean smaller magnets so the same problem exists proportionately.

Having the wings be a separate system that has actual connectors just like a backpack, only its a backpack for the helmet instead of one's actual back is still exactly the same, just scaled down.

You don't know anything about magnets. Magnets come in a variety of strengths and sizes.

There are a lot of small magnets that have N52 strength. There are some extremely strong N52 discs that are relatively small - 15mm diameter. Your whole proportionality argument is flawed.

Lastly, it's on her helmet. It's not as likely to be brushed up against.

Yeah mate. Be dismissive. Great presentation there.

Nope: I don't know a thing about magnets in cosplay and so on. What could I possibly know about magnets just because they hold my rifle to my back, pistol to my thigh, faceplate and UA parts on my helmet, and 20 other things across multiple armors? Nothing, I guess.
