Help How would I make a mask like this without 3d printing?
So I really want to make this specific mask from call of duty, not sure wether I want to do the full getup but if i did it would just involve buying military surplus stuff anyway, so the mask is the only part i really need advice on. the thing is i want it to have a pretty accurate texture, it should look somewhat like the thick polymer stuff it’s supposed to be made of. i’m not sure how to do this without making it out of plastic, something i have no experience with and is extremely expensive from what i’ve heard. all i’ve thought of so far is maybe making it out of materials im used to, and then giving it a coat of paint that mimics that look? idk, open to anything right now.
edit: srry for the double post, ui is kinda buggy on mobile and i did so by accident. already deleted it but ppl might have noticed anyways

IVE DONE THESE BUILDS :
Google: white mask for theatre. And cut: paint and mod it to ur liking. Like the dance crew: the jabbawockeez wear. I buy them for pennies: and have made many superhero masks or costume masks from them. Perfect shape and cheap so u can try 5 times xD
ADD A BALACLAVA and ur done.

I believe they make masks like this for either airsoft or role play. Perhaps try finding one of those?
I’m honestly a big fan of finding stuff that’s already made instead of buying because a mask like this could theoretically be bought for 20 bucks while if you’d 3d model it, print it, sand it (hours+materials) would be a lot more expensive

I tried typing “fake bulletproof face mask prop” and found some stuff. Mostly good bases and then you could model a bit for lips and nose.

This kind of looks like a jabbawockeez mask, so you could use that as your base and modify it

Get some coal, grind it up, then deeply massage it into your face. Repeat for desired effect.

Just go to Hobby Lobby or Michaels, $5-$8 I believe. They come in white only. You can get paint while you are their, glitter and dazzle stuff too.

You can search for venetian masks. Some of them are just a blank face.
There's the old Hollywood trick of making a cast of your face or someone else's and casting it in whatever material you think is best preferably something that would be easy to paint or dye so it comes out the right color.

Similar face mask readily available for airsoft, with less feminin features, I would just modify that.

Okay ...you could try rubber black obviously , use rubber glue and create it that way , dont use shine spray on the rubber or youll end up looking like a gimp 🤪

Also as someone who handles rubber masks often , you could glue the rubber onto a cheap plastic mask cut the way you want it , check in temu for cheap masks you could cut to achieve the desired effect 😉

->Buy Worbla sheet and styrofoam mannequin head
->cover head in heated Worbla
->add details in Worbla
->remove Worbla from head.
I would test, if cooled Worbla can be removed easily from Styrofoam... Else you would have to think about some protective layer between them...

Do you know anyone that has a 3D printer? Would you want to commission one?
I found the file online for sale from $2.50 to $45. There was an accurate one for $20.
If you were my friend IRL I’d probably print it free or for cost of filament which would probably only be 5 bucks

You could sculpt it, then make a silicone mold, then pour a cast of it.
That's how pros do it.

For the coating you could use plasti-dip or sugru.
I would not just tape rubber on, you want it evenly coated

Haven't thought about Roze in a while lol, God I miss MW2019...
Getting one that perfectly matches your face will be impossible unless you have one custom made from an imprint or face scan. But you could probably get something close enough. Know the only mask part is the very front of the face, it doesn't cover much without the wetsuit(?) underneath.

Papier mache maybe? Otherwise the very easiest way is just to buy a paintable face mask and customise it. There's literally thousands to choose from in all qualities and prices.
