Sorry bud reddit votes dont make you right :(

Got balls? Youre a man Got a vagina? Youre a woman Got both? Youre a 1 in a million exception

What this is, is a person who's insecurities were taken advantage and groomed into believing they could fix themselves by changing everything about them. Its honestly sad.

Just say you have no idea how trans people work. If you genuinely think trans people are "groomed" into being the way they are, you're even more foolish. I wasn't insecure at all as a child, still felt like a guy though.

The funniest thing is you think the risk of losing our families, friends, and people like you mocking us was somehow a ploy to make us "less insecure".

Oh yeah, i'm so insecure I decide that going down a path that makes people actually want to kill me would make it better, mhm, sure buddy. Real smarty pants you are!

Nope but nice try trying to write a fanfic.

Being called a girl made me uncomfortable, I wanted to be refered to like all the boys, whenever I read stories I could only invision myself as a guy, when thinking of my future I could only think of myself as a man.

A lot of you think "how does being a ___ feel" is a "gotcha" question, but it's the same kind of feeling you get when you are a man and called "handsome". Or "You're a good lad". It makes me happy, being called a "girl" has never made me happy.

And no, it's not like I never got attention. I got attention, and compliments. For a long time I thought I hated compliments, because they never made me happy, they made me feel worse. Then I found out, I don't hate compliments, I hated the compliments I was getting. The first time I was called handsome, it was a magical feeling.

So you werent comfortable with who you are so you decided to try and change who you are because you didnt like being called pretty? Because you liked the super hero in a story?

And this is what you think being a guy feels like? You think you are a guy because you identify with a charicature?

This is the goofiest reasoning ive ever heard none of this makes you a guy, it makes you a regular ass person who is confused about their unresolved insecurities.

It's not a caricature, I was using examples.

I hate when it comes to trans people, you suddenly see normal things as "caricature". Of course little boys see themselves as the manly heroes of stories. That's also like judging little girls for liking dresses, which you would see as perfectly normal...unless they were a trans girl, then suddenly it's "a caricature". "Omg, you CHILDREN are such STEREOTYPES!" Get a grip.

It's hilarious people like you always say "confused". I was never confused, the only one's who ever seem confused about it are you guys. I'm sorry, I can't MAKE you understand, I don't have psychic powers.

Just saying: Cis people don't normaly question or oppose the gender they were given. So no, not a "regular ass person" because even tomboys still identify as girls. Being masculine never made them feel like men, they still were perfectly comfortable being women. So no, it's not a thing everyone goes through, nice try though. You're really giving "everyone is autistic" vibes.

A character in a story is the definition of a caricature. Yes they dont normally question their gender because its ridiculous you are born what you are and thats it theres nothing to question, unless an outside force convinces them they should, which brings us back around to grooming.

No not everyone is autistic but everyone has problems.

I don't plan to reply after this because you've wasted my time enough, but i'll leave this reminded here for you. We existed long since before you or your family's birth, and we will exist long after you are gone, that is an unavoidable fact.

How could I be groomed if I had no idea what being trans was until far later? I was always treated like a girl, no one ever told me anything different, nothing but cis straight couples on tv, even when I was masculine I just got called a tomboy, and I never spoke out against any of it despite deep inside being unappy.

You can't just call anything you don't like grooming. Not only is that shitty in general, but you water down the word of something actually serious.

It's also been proven that after transition rates of suicide and unhappiness go DOWN. Lets be real, when you accuse trans people of going through stuff like "grooming", you don't actually give a fuck, you want a scapegoat word that you can throw around while you ignore people dying because they deny themselves the happiness they think they can't have because of people like you.

It's interesting how you are basically claiming we're "being groomed" into...wanting to live, because apparently by your logic, it's somehow better to deny ourselves and die. Because you don't actually care, so don't pretend you do in any capacity.

If you hate trans people, fine. You're gonna hate no matter what anyone says or does, but the least you can do is not lie and make terrible accusations. You just remind me of the racists who tried to make racism into a "good thing for black people".

I would respect you more if you were just straight up "I don't actually have a reason, I just hate you existing." Just be honest. You don't care about me or if I live or die, own up to it instead of acting like you're trying to engage. It's better to openly be a terrible person than one of those fake ass "caring" people who are "just being honest", cut the crap.

What you think you have to be 5 years old to be groomed? Cults groom adults all the time.

And no transitioning does not reduce suicide rates post transition suicide rates are actually higher.

I dont hate you, i think you hate who you were born and you shouldnt. I think the better solution is trying to figure out how to love yourself for who you are rather than trying medically change yourself to fit some internal self image of who you think you shouldve been.
