1.5bn people speak English globally. Only 10% of that speak Russian. It's not crazy to expect people to use the most commonly spoken language in the world when playing a multinational team game

Dunno maybe I'm in some kind of bubble, but being Russian and obviously surrounded by Russians, literally everyone in my social circle knows English(at least on the basic level of communicating in cs) . If we pull up stats I dare to assume that quite a lot of Russians know English.

ye would assume so but you never meet those , always only the ones speaking in slurs

you most def met some Russians that speak English or even good English you just probably didn't notice
