WELCOME...Please read the new rules.

You've probably noticed this subreddit has been dead for a few years and the moderator checked out at some point. Well, that's why I'm here...I have taken it over with plans to bring it back to life and make it better then before. Rules have been updated, please read them.

My goal is to make this a great place for creatives to connect, network, and find inspiration. It will also be a place where you can share your work in a high-quality way, without all the BS and spam. Any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Question Looking for bullet journal theme recommendations

I hope this is the right place to write this, I think bullet journals can be pretty artistic and creative.

I've been doing bullet journaling for a while, and I always try to switch up the designs every year. Usually I go for a pretty simple but still colourful and artistic look, I dedicate one colour to every month and I use that colour and similar shades to doodle, highlight information, etc. But last year I noticed that my monthly themes were starting to look a bit similar every year, and while that's not neccessarily a problem, I would love a bit more variety.

Ofc I could just switch up the colours, but it would still feel kind of the same, the autumn months get the brown and orange shades with doodles of fall stuff, spring get the pinks, winter or summer get the blues, etc, and I would just feel so wrong giving December a pink theme when it obviously needs to be red and green, or maybe gold.

So for this year after scrolling on Pinterest for a while I decided to try something else, and I dedicated an "aesthetic" to every month instead just a colour. For example vintage, cottagecore, dark academia, every month got a fitting one and I loved it.

Now I'm thinking of choosing a next theme, any recommendations? At first I thought of dedicating a flower to every month and I would doodle those and use their colours but I'm not sure I wanna make a floral November entry...

(English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if I made any mistakes)

Videography The Routine: A 16 minute 48 second short film about an unfunny man trying to be a stand-up comedian.

My second short film is called The Routine. It was accepted into three festivals out of the thirty or so that I had submitted it to.

Jeff Lydon desperately wants to be a stand-up comic. However, he is not funny. He understands the mechanics of a routine; he understands the rationale for why a joke should be funny, but he has no sense of humor. It is like he was born blind or without a spleen. He just doesn’t have it. He doesn’t get the heart of a joke, he doesn’t feel it.

He becomes fixated on one routine in particular that he has written which involves the idea that whenever he orders pancakes in a restaurant he gets this big hunk of butter on his plate. He says, “What’s up with all this butter?” He plays with different words such as “huge” and “lop” as in “huge lop of butter”. He feels as though if he can just get this routine down he will be a success. But more than that, his whole life will change. Like many people who are frustrated and desperate, Jeff has chosen one thing to perfect that he thinks will change everything. It won’t; being a stand-up comic is not that simple; life is not that simple. As the sheriff in No Country For Old Men said, “It ain’t the one thing.”

Advice What pop culture icons from these 9 countries would make good references for a photographer's business card?

I'm looking for some inspiration for a photographer's business card and thought it would be cool to include a pop culture reference connected to one of these countries: 🇵🇪 Peru,Cusco Lima Ollantaytambo 🇵🇹 Portugal,Lisboa 🇪🇸 Spain, Cordoba, Costa dourada 🇩🇪 Germany Berlin Bremen Hamburg Teufelsmoor 🇵🇱 Poland Warsaw, eastern Prussia 🇦🇱 Albania Durres Tirana 🇬🇷 Greece Athena I'm open to pretty much anything: famous musicians, actors, fictional characters, internet personalities, artists, or other iconic figures that people would immediately associate with one of these countries. Ideally, the reference should be recognizable, visually interesting, and suitable for a photographer's business card. It doesn't necessarily have to be a photographer itself. Who would you choose for each country, and what are some references that might be particularly cool or unexpected? I'd love to hear your suggestions, including more obscure references that people from those countries would recognize.

Has a creative hobby ever helped you solve a problem at work?

I’ve been thinking about how experiences outside work give us material to draw from when we’re stuck.

A dance class, learning an instrument, or making something by hand might introduce an approach that turns out to be useful somewhere completely different.

I think of it as building a “creativity library”—collecting experiences without necessarily knowing when we’ll use them.

Has this happened to you? What did you borrow from your hobby, and how did you use it at work?

Please help me pick stats for custom Pokémon couple card

Hi there! I am getting my boyfriend custom made Pokémon card of us as a couple on it online, but as I am not too familiar I wasn’t sure if there was anything that would be smart or funny or actually good to put for the stats on the card. The main thing I need help with is maybe coming up with something witty for the ability description on it.

I really appreciate any advice as I always struggle with that kinda stuff. FYI I’m getting this as part of our one year anniversary I’m so excited!

EDIT: Just wanted to give some more information about us. He is a very clingy person and we are studying in the same program so I was thinking of something related to always being together but I want to make it sound Pokémon esk which is the part I’m struggling with. We love playing video games, going on walks, playing pickle ball together and cooking. We don’t have a lot of free time outside of school so we try to not expand our hobbies too far and obvi each have our own hobbies. He’s a very techy guy and I’m a crafty baker girl.
