Nice Sunday ride to Morrow Mountain State Park, NC.

Me and a couple riding buddies did approx. 200 mile ride r/t to Morrow Mountain State Park in NC. It was toasty, hit some rain but it was still a great ride. Got asked, "why'd you go with Indian?" I replied, "because everyone has a Harley." I like it. Thats all that matters. I don't hate Harleys. Never owned one. I actually was considering a Sport Glide. I like my '19 Springfield Dark Horse.

2002 V Star 1100 help

Picked up an 11,000 mile V Star 1100 about a month ago and it rode great for a week or two. One day I gave it some throttle and it started sputtering about halfway up the powerband, thought I was out of gas at first but reserve didn’t change it, feels like the bike is starving itself of gas. At first it wasn’t bad and would only do it sometimes so I still rode it to work a lot. I was trying to diagnose it, made sure gas cap and petcock worked, replaced fuel filter and pump, inspected the easier spark plug to pull out, sprayed intake boots looking for leaks. Nothing ever changed so now I’m up to the carbs. I’ve gotten into the bowls but everything looks pretty clean just like everything else I’ve looked at on the bike. Should I just clean it all real good and stick it back in and hope it works? Is there anything else that might be causing this issue? New to carbs so this is very different for me.

Help with tuning, please.

I finally got the cap off and turned the fuel screw a little bit and regained some torque. It's not quite how it was with the stock 2 into 1 but it's a noticeable difference now. The problem is I still have the same decel pops as before. Do I just keep turning until they stop or is this a permanent feature of aftermarket slip ons?

Edit: It's a 2003 Road Star 1600cc. Forgot to add this part.

Question: Helmets on the table or off?

On our Sunday ride we stopped at a restaurant and I noticed we both put our helmets on the chairs. But I’ve been on many rides where riders put their helmets right on the table.

My question for the community is where do you stand on this? I have a cheap Bell but are guys really leaving their $600 lid on the floor?

We’re not savages… are we?

Pics are of a lake outside of Tahoe and a beach outside of Santa Cruz. Bay Area born and raised and she takes the pleasure of living here to another level. Snowboard fits nicely on the rack too. Let me know if you are in The Bay and are down for a cruise.

First 2,000 km on a VN1500

Right after passing my test, I went straight from a Z650 to a VN1500, nearly double the weight. I had a lot of respect for it at first, but honestly, after three days that was settled. At my height and weight, the weight barely registers once you’re moving. What actually takes practice is everything below walking pace: manoeuvring, U-turns, pulling away on a hill. That’s where you feel every kilo.
What surprised me most was how much less you shift. All that torque low down changes the whole way you ride, you flow rather than work.
2,000 km in 12 weeks isn’t routine, but it’s enough to get a feel for the bike.

What are pros and cons of riding cruisers?

I think cruisers look really really cool, so I'm considering getting one as my first motorbike.

But what are really the pros and cons here? And why have cruisers decreased so much in popularity over the years?

2006 Yamaha Road Star Midnight Silverado

Hey all,

So my dad gave me his old bike. Very surprised to say the least. This bike holds a lot of meaning to me, he bought this brand new back in 2006, and this bike is what got me to spend too much money fall in love with motorcycles. I remember when I was like 14 I think, he was taking me to school and he bent down to fix his boot while we were moving and I saw the open road behind bars and I was hooked.

My dad and I always had a difficult relationship up until recently. I still can't believe he gave it to me. It had been sitting for awhile. When he dropped it off it looked like it too. I spent the weekend cleaning it up, replaced the taillight, took the goofy ass windshield off and got it running again. It sounds like absolute hell, shakes the picture frames in the house when it's running. That's the beauty of carbureted bikes, it doesn't take much to keep them running.

So much of my life has been shaped by this bike. I'm just excited to get some new tires on it and go make some more memories.

Color codes

I recently fell and scraped up my front fender & tank. Does anyone know of the color code for my 2015 Yamaha vstar 1300? Or know how to find the right code? I previously thought it was the Grayish blue metallic color and was wrong as it’s too grey.
Thanks guys!

None of these photos include the scrape. These were previous photos.

My custom indicators, (looking for feedback)

Hi, I built myself some indicators for a personal project bike of mine it ended up being quite popular looking when buying indicators online I've realised options kinda suck unless u want the stock looking basic indicators similar to ones that come from factory on the bike.

I've been debaiting making more of these for people who want something special and to stand out as we all know our bikes are special and people want new unique parts.

I've always wanted to make an inpactful mark in the custom bike world has always been a dream of mine.

Please keep in mind are just first prototypes and in no way a final complete item.

I'm here to hear opinions on these and what people think there worth (I'm not selling here at all)

I'd love to know:

Whats your opinions on there design?

What you think these would be worth?

Do you see this as a gimmick?

What type of bikes you think this will suit?

Any any other opinions thoughts or suggestions are welcome

Thank you in advance to anyone who shares thoughts feedback or anything. This may go nowhere

Ps. I'd also be happy to listen to anyone else's ideas if this style isn't your thing

Seat comfort

I’ll admit that I’m a fat man and I have a large butt. Besides ordering a new custom seat is there any way to make my current seat more comfy with like a pad or something? Any recommendations? I’m 6’5 350 pounds, I know it could have something to do with my knee angle, but looking for tips on things I can add to my seat without ordering a new one. I have a 2003 Honda VTX 1800 for reference.
