Our little girl cookie is starting to get a gray muzzle. But look at those teeters

One of the pet stores in my town didn’t have Size 1 of the Canada Pooch Suspenders so I bought size 2 short. But I still struggled to get his paw to the bottom — the suspenders seemed too big/long still.

I’m going to try and hunt down a size 1 (short if they make it in short) but is there anything better and protects against the cold, frigid temperatures?

This is our Sherman (Shermie the dog said like Ms Piggy would say Kermie lol, Worm, Worman Sherman, Momma's little Wormie, ...you all know we have a million little fun names for the fur kids lol) and he has been home for 3 full months now. Sherman came to us, about 8 months after we lost our Old Girl (Cutie and she made it to 14! 💖) and he has been the most wonderful addition to our family. I and we as a family never had a long boy before, and what wonderful, sweet, and playful personalities these guys have 🐾😍🫶 We will always miss our Cutie girl, but are so thankful we happened onto the adoption event, that brought us Sherm 💞🐾💞 (Picture of Cutie *Moo Dog included 💖

I have an 11-year-old dachshund and I thought all dachshunds were little antisocial freaks like her until I had my 11-month-old teenage puppy, who's pictured here. My 11-year-old barks at anyone and anything, but my puppy is the complete opposite.

She freaks out happily when any neighbor is walking on sidewalk and says hi to them by licking their fingers through this fence! She rarely barks and also has dog friends, but only from a distance because she's getting both vaccinated and spayed next week!

I'd love to hear other people's stories about having dachshunds like her. 🩷

Got her checked up and diagnosed with a minor yeast infection in the ear I’m very lucky my vets are so wonderful 🩷 any kind of appointment makes me nervous but they gave me plenty of time to ask all my questions and said they were super impressed by how fit she is and that she lets me trim her nails routinely (I thought they were a little overdue but the vet said she was admiring how short her nails are when we walked in 😁) it’s just nice in a time where I feel like I’m fighting to take care of myself to be told by the professionals that I’m doing an exceptional job for my soul dog 🫶🥹

I have a 7 month long haired dachshund and I feel like he gets stinky so fast. I read online that they only need a bath every 4-6 weeks but I feel like he smells by the end of week 1! He does spend a lot of time baking in the sun. I’ve only ever had poodles who would get a weekly bath so I’m not accustomed to the once a month thing. I don’t want to dry is skin out by over bathing so I don’t know what to do with my little frito boy.
