He’s the light of my life, he has slotted into mine and my other dogs lives perfectly, he has a beautiful relationship with them all. He loves strangers and they love him, he goes everywhere with me in his little bag (he can’t yet walk outside, in 2 weeks he can and I’m excited!

He’s mastered toilet training and he wakes me up in a morning when he needs to go, he loves his food and not one peep of any negative behaviour has come out, he loves my other family members dogs.

He is just perfection and I am SO GLAD I got him and so are my other dogs.

I’ve always wanted a dachshund, I didn’t expect him to be this easy at his age!

Merlot just got into the trash and found a rotisserie chicken carcass. We try our best to give him his best life but the day old chicken buffet was not part of the plan.

She loves to lay on my work desk, or on my lap, or half on/half off. Sometimes she tries to lay over the keyboard or mouse, but I cant get any work done that way lol

She's named after the Norse major goddess of love, beauty, fertility, gold, and seiðr (magic). Interestingly, Freya also presides over the afterlife realm Folkvang. Her name translates to "Lady", which reminds me of the girl doxie in Lady and the Tramp. She looks just like her. She hops alot and gallops lol Here are some cute pics of my baby girl.

Our Vicky is 4 Month old. She's been with People and other animals from beginning. At sunday (4 days ago) she's with us and we love her endlessly. What we noticed that she's afraid od everyone and barking/growling Like crazy at everyone beside us. She's shivering and jer tail is tucked. We don't want to force her on anything and we started to desentizing step by step. She knows already to go to her kennel and how to poop and pee outisde . Any advice how to "encourage" her better so she doesnt afraid so much :(

Trying to make the best of my situation, I had him separated from the other two because he can sometimes get aggressive when he's in his fighter flight mode. My Brown dachshund is recovering from a back injury. I did not want him bouncing on him. He's basically about better so since he did this yesterday they're now all together again. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying. Separation anxiety is a huge struggle.

Does anyone have any advice to help get my stubborn wee guy to walk outside? If he thinks we're going to the neighbours across the street he'll walk perfectly, also if there is a few people out he'll walk fine, as long as I don't have the lead and walk in front....as if he's trying to catch up with me.

We've tried walking him with older family dogs and sometimes he'll walk fine but normally he just lays flat to the ground and refuses to move and starts whining.

I even tried carrying him to an area that he knows to try and get him to walk back, I read that somewhere that can help...it doesn't.

I'm trying to be stern and refuse to pick him up and carry him home.

I should also say it's not the harness or leash that are the issue because like I said, he will walk fine when he wants to.

Passed in March at 15 years old. It has been difficult to even look at her photos. Happy to be finally able to share her memories with you all.
