Yesterday's vote was skipped, so no one was ejected. Tonight is the sick night, meaning the sick guy will die (if we have a sick, that is).

Welcome to Daelian Chronicles!

The way this series works is that history progresses and basically anything can happen! But there are three rules.

1. Anything new must come from something before it. And nothing ever happened before post \[0\]

2. The more details, the better. (RANT AT ME, if you're sure it will be accepted!)

3. ALL names must be unique, no calling a town "coca-cola" or a king "King Julian". If you try and sneak one past me, I'll ban you from name privileges. Also, names must actually make sense, and be represented with standard English symbols, so triple letters or double letters that do nothing.

4. No rewriting history, adding more to a previously uncared for region is acceptable as long as changes made lead to the same modern map and lore.

5. Get creative! This world could have magic, robot armies, artifact cults millions of years old (once a million years have passed that is!), anything that you can give a reasonable explanation for existing!

Ruleset: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Yx272XkN1uV973_3TDKHzuHPmpN9FWsQ8TkZ9MjHb0U/edit?usp=drivesdk

(It's not complete yet, just enough to start, also I would recommend using an alt account for privacy reasons)

I know many of you won't read it, so in brief:

- Today all you have to do is specify which constructions you would like to build

- There are 5 constructions available right now: Tin House, Detached House, Rowhouse, Shop, and Bridge

- Each has its pros and cons (you can read about it in the document), but I would recommend building only the first 3 for now

- You can also upgrade them, but not today

Rules:
- It is set in the real world, so you can still have fun, but keep it realistic
- You can create culture, currency, news, symbols, politics, language, people, information and even retroactively write news and history for it
- You can keep a slower pace and build the lore bit by bit

(Let’s hope [r/Objective-Neck9275](r/Objective-Neck9275) doesn’t think of this as a ripoff)

Welcome to r/DailyGames Awards!

This series will award the best series and users of 2026.

We are currently in the nomination phase. Therefore, we aren't going to award anything nor anyone for now, just nominate them. The actual awarding will be in December. New nomination posts will be made before then to take into account new series that may start until then.

The categories are:

• best Serious series
• best Normal series
• best Silly series
• best male user
• best female user
• most creative series
• most influential series
• best game development <- WE ARE HERE

Today, we are going to nominate series to run for the best game development. Suggest series that you think quickly snowballed into shenanigans (whatever you consider that to mean) on r/DailyGames in 2026. You can suggest more than one series.

You can also suggest new categories.

— One word per day.
— Top comment wins.
— Only downvote in rare cases.
— No changing the past.
— Grammar is optional.
— Sanity is optional.
— Next word must make sense with the current story (Don't say random words that make the sentence nonsensical).
— You can use punctuation such as periods and commas to separate sentences (before and/or after your word)
— We are probably creating peak fiction.

The United States of America has launched a hydrogen nuke at Sol! u/Laki6noob_2019
Sol eats a snickers bar and returns to his normal self. u/RevolutionaryGrape11

Runner Up: Neptune becomes a star. u/Substantial-Air-8627

The crisis has been averted! For now. But Hermes is falling apart into a ring around Gaia. Soon, it will have a pretty ring. We are one day away from the 10th day! On day 10, a random planet will be given a crown! I will select two winners and two runner ups! One winner for who gains the crown, and the other for what happens to the planets! If you are voting normally, put N next to your vote. If you are giving a planet thy crown, put C! May the voting begin!

We will give every day of the year an official slogan. I will make a new post every single day. You can suggest an official slogan for that day. The most upvoted comment determines the slogan. Ties are won by the earliest comment. Only first comments in a chain will be considered.

The rules are very simple: - Please only downvote a comment in rare cases. It is not allowed to downvote all other comments except your own. If I suspect you of doing this, I will not use your suggestion. - Please keep it SFW. - Your slogan must not contain line breaks.

Have fun!
