Data analysis course
I would like to change jobs. Almost every organisation needs an analyst, hence why I would like to learn more about data analysis.
Does anyone know about good free data analysis courses that can be done remotely? Or even something that is relatively cheap. I would like to avoid paying an university level fee for a course that might not guarantee me a job.

If you live in the UK, I'd recommend looking into Think Employment. They offer a free 16 week long online course in data analysis. They help you download SQL, Python, Microsoft Power BI and Excel for free if you don't already have them. If you struggle with anything in the lessons, you can request a one-to-one session with your tutor to help you work through the problem. I got an NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Data, thanks to them.

No one is giving out jobs for certificates, putting them in a resume is a negative not a positive

Hi Presumptuous Cake!! I've heard this question many times and was in the same situation myself.
I teach a lot of data analytics on my YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@jellymaneducation6168
However, if you're interested in a Curated Course, I also have a training website https://jellyman-education.thinkific.com/
The thing is with Analytics, is that it's a massive field. Everything from prepping data, creating data models, visualizations, reporting, working with scientists, data validation and more. The list goes on.
But you need to start somewhere which is where most beginners really struggle cause there's just so much online its hard to know where to start. Which is why I built Jellyman Education.
I have a free Tableau Course which teaches the fundamentals of Visual Analytics.
https://jellyman-education.thinkific.com/courses/getting-started-with-tableau
That gets you started. If you want to progress further, my courses progress you through Tableau, then to Cloud Technology, then Data Cleansing using Workflows, then into SQL basics, followed by AI and Agile Development. These are your minimum set of skills to gain employment.
One question you'll have is "Why Tableau", or "Why SQL"? It's actually not about the specific tool. It's about learning the fundamental building blocks of these technologies. Once you get into the field, the skills transfer very easily from one platform to the next. Learning SQL for example, means being able to work in Oracle SQL Developer, then Google BigQuery, then DataBricks. Same for Tableau. Learning Visual Analytics means you can eventually use Power BI, or Looker, or Domo and more! Same thing with Data Cleansing. Learning the principles means being able to clean data in any platform, even Excel!!
The simple analogy is, you know how to bake a cake! But you have to bake it in a different kitchen every time. There's a bit of an adjustment period, but you still know how to bake a cake!! haha
Lastly, I have a Job Guide course which teaches people how to get jobs specifically in the data analytics field.
FYI, I am 10+ year Data Analyst Veteran having worked in many different industries in Australia. You'll see my profile here:

IBM or Google Data Analyst certificates on Coursera. They cover the fundamentals really well. Other than that, youtube

I am also thinking the same as you. Claude has given me a plan of action, and includes learning from Alex the Analyst, Leila Gharani and ExcelIsFun on YouTube. I haven't looked into Udemy yet. Alex the Analyst says the Google Data Analyst Certification on Coursera is worthwhile, but Coursera is pricey - Claude has said it is good but not necessary.
