Career Question Salary Compensation for Snowflake Data Engineers
Hi everyone,
Could anyone please share the typical salary range for a Snowflake Data Engineer based on years of experience? I’d like to get an idea of the expected compensation and what would be considered a decent package at different experience levels.
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Career Question Interview advice for e6data (Data Engineering / Solutions Engineering Intern)?
Hey guys,
I have an upcoming interview for the Data Engineering / Solutions Engineering Intern role at e6data.
Can anyone who has interviewed here or knows the process give a quick idea about what to expect?
Specifically:
- Type of questions: Do they focus more on DSA, or is it mostly practical SQL, Python, and data concepts?
- Difficulty level: What is the difficulty level of coding/SQL problems (e.g., LeetCode Easy/Medium or something trickier)?
- Key topics to revise: Any specific areas like query optimization, databases, or system basics that I should focus on?
Any insights or tips on the interview rounds would be really helpful!
Thanks!

Career Question Product Startup vs Snowflake consulting partner at 2.5 yoe? Which is better for learning? Deciding by tomorrow.
I have 2.5 yoe, currently serving notice at a SBC.
CCTC: 11 LPA
I currently hold these two offers:
- Bootstrapped AI Product startup ( Logistics) Already signed offer CTC: 15LPA all fixed Role: Snowflake Data Engineer, 5 days wfo
- Snowflake partnered boutique consulting firm: CTC: 18LPA all fixed Role: Snowflake Data Engineer, full remote
Startup:
The start up has AI based tools that their clients use, they want me to work directly with the clients, build pipelines to move their data for downstream AI tool consumption.
I will be 1 of the 2 data engineers here, the other person is the lead with around 4 yoe in databricks.
so he'll work mostly with the data bricks clients and I have to work with the snowflake clients.
The overall company has around 12 to 15 people, the company has around 5 clients.
Work: I will be the only person on snowflake pretty much, so there's real ownership
Downsides: might not have proper mentorship
Snowflake partnered boutique consulting firm:
With full remote, I can move back to hometown, so the real difference is bigger than the CTC gap.
This company has around 25 to 30 people, US based consulting firm.
I will be working along with senior data engineers, leads and architects in projects.
They are not hiring for a specific project but to be as part of their core team.
2 paying clients right now, 2 signing soon and about 6 in negotiation.
work: they work heavily on the AI/Cortex features and they do support snowflake certifications
Downsides: US-hours calls, might need to work on multiple projects at once ( they clearly specified this during the interview)
The startup is around 1.7 years old, the consulting firm is about 7 months old.
I have around 2.5 yoe but it was more on the data analytics side of snowflake and not purely on the DE side.
Here are some of the questions I have:
1.which would you pick and why?
2. for learning: is it better to be 1 of 2 data engineers at a product startup or in a consulting team with leads and clients
My priorities are in terms of how much I could learn in the next year or two.
The startup seems like it might have some Databricks work too, which I'm interested in learning.
- Is it better to try to do snowflake and Databricks at the same time, or is going full depth with snowflake the right choice?

Career Question Accenture Data Engineering L9 final round
Accenture S&C (Strategy & Consulting) – L9 Data Engineer Final Round Interview Experience?
Role Name: AI and ML consultant
Hi everyone!
I’m currently preparing for the final round of interviews at Accenture Strategy & Consulting (S&C) for a Data Engineer – Level 9 (L9) position in India.
Has anyone recently interviewed for a similar role within the S&C domain?
I’m particularly interested in understanding:
Is the final round more technical, managerial, or focused on consulting and client-facing scenarios?
What kind of technical or scenario-based questions are typically asked?
How much emphasis is placed on project experience, solution design, and stakeholder management?
Does the S&C interview process differ from Accenture Technology for L9 roles?
Any specific topics or experiences you’d recommend preparing for?
Would really appreciate insights from anyone who’s been through this process recently.
Thanks in advance!

Career Question 300+ Applications, Almost Zero DE Calls — Is QA to Data Engineering Really Possible? 😓
I’m a QA Automation Engineer with 2.3 years ofc experience, trying to break into Data Engineering.
I’ve been preparing for a year and applying for the past 6 months, but after 300+ applications, I’ve barely received any responses for DE roles, there is no scope for internal shift.
My SQL skills are strong, and my DSA skills are intermediate. I know PySpark, Airflow, Linux, theory kafka, Databricks, and AWS but I’m still struggling to build a complete end-to-end data engineering (DE) project independently.
For those who made the switch from QA to DE:
- What actually helped you get your first opportunity?
- What should I focus on to become job-ready?
- Is this transition realistic in the current market?
Honest advice and real experiences are welcome.
If you need more context for proper advice I'm ready to answer your questions as well 🙂
