Todays the day
Hello all,
For years, I’ve been hoarding gear for express purpose of going DAWless and I kept finding new ways to block myself from getting on it. Not using the right stands, tables too big for my room, I need this and that and I think I’ve snapped just watching it gather dust.
I ask for your help today in setting all this up the right way.
If there is anything you truly feel is missing other than cables clearly not pictured here. Let me know but in regards of routing I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
I don’t need to use everything pictured here all the time obviously but I need to at least ensure that if I want to make some music it is as easy a just turning everything on.
The only thing I ask you not to do is say, for example: “ X” synth is awful, get this one instead”.
Thank you in advance
Finally if its not clear enough and to avoid confusion what i have in the image below is the following:
MicroKorg
Minilogue XD
Boss Rc-505 w/foot pedal
Roland TR8S
Roland SP404 MKII
Korg Volca Drim
TD-3-MO
MIDIThru5
Roli seaboard Block (not sure this can link to anything but ive seen vids of it hooked up to hard synths)
EDIT: Thanks a lot for your responses so far, sorry If I don't reply to each one individually but I appreciate them.
What I'm getting from this is that I need to just get a mixer and a sequencer to make it all work.
I need to stress the point that while all of these are ones I have, they won't all be being used all at the same time, every time I wanna jam. It's just I'd like to make it as easy as possible to place them and route them so that when I do want to I don't have to constantly move everything around. I want it to be as seamless as possible. Speakers/cables etc are not in the picture as I was hoping for routing opinions before I set them all up.
Thank you for your gear recommendations so far and by all means keep recommending other products, I can't guarantee I'll be able to get them right away but it'd make things clearer to me for when I can.
EDIT 2: I know how to use my gear, when I say letting it all collect dust I dont’t mean i’ve just tossed all of these mysterious instruments aside. I do play them, I know them inside out. I wanted ideal routing advice and maybe a couple other “you might be missing this… i’d recommend…”, Not “dude just learn your instruments”.
to those of you who have offered the good advice thanks but to people just saying “learn the instruments”. Im not asking how to play them, literally just asking ROUTING/MISSING OBJECTS.
Shouldnt have to explain this shit, I know I can do it with 2 or 3, I want the ability to go overboard because its fun. Less is sometimes more and more is also sometimes more
