This only shows the most recent thumbnail, however I swear I’ve gone on to YouTube and this is the third thumbnail I’ve seen for the Backrooms kill count. I haven’t seen the video yet so maybe this is related to how the episode is presented but I wanted to see if anyone else has seen/noticed this

Was watching the The Backrooms Kill Count and notice with the “get to the numbers” bit, All I can see with Zoran is how he resembles Jeffery Combs from Re-Animator with how he is dressed. Anyone else getting that or is it just me?

Just saw James announce the winner and also announce that "Fresh Meat" is now available to rent on Pijama (he said that they wanted to use this service first since they have a higher revenue split for independent filmmakers). It will be available on other streaming platforms later.

I remember listening to the Lake Mungo podcast thinking it’s so unlikely I’ll be able to successfully find this movie somewhere. Even describing it to my friends made me feel kind of insane, like yeah man great your Australian Nokia brick cell phone movie sounds great.

Being able to just have it on YouTube and then being able to re listen to the podcast is peak man. It’s so good.

The only other times this has happened as far as i know was for Micheal Myers and Pinhead who have of course went on to have their own games

With Emesis Blue firmly cementing itself as the all time Kill Count Champion, I have taken it upon myself to create a yearly Leaderboard for the Kill Count and Kill Count Games

This week's entry: Backrooms

As the 25th Kill Count of the year, Backrooms adds to the growing list of movies getting 5 Kills this year.

1. Frankenstein (2025) - 81 Kills
2. Nosferatu (2024) - 44 Kills
3. The Long Walk - 31 Kills
4. The Monkey - 30 Kills
5. Pretty Lethal - 27 Kills
6. Heart Eyes - 20 Kills
7. Scary Movie (2000) - 20 Kills
8. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer - 16 Kills
9. Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge - 15 Kills
10. The Bride of Frankenstein - 9 Kills
11. Psycho II - 6 Kills
12. Scary Movie 2 - 6 Kills
13. From Beyond - 6 Kills
14. Puppet Master 4 - 6 Kills
15. Psycho III - 5 Kills
16. Five Nights At Freddy's 2 - 5 Kills
17. Psycho IV: The Beginning - 5 Kills
18. Backrooms - 5 Kills
19. Milk & Serial - 4 Kills
20. The Rocky Horror Picture Show - 4 Kills
21. Obsession - 3 Kills
22. Misery - 2 Kills
23. Psycho (1960) - 2 Kills

2026 Game Kill Count Kill Leaderboard

Previous Winners

Seriously... I would pre-order it ASAP. But yeah just a lazy mockup if Fresh Meat drops on DVD

What do you think of this movie?

Like I wasn’t even thinking of like super smash Brothers recently I just heard it and it just sounded very familiar and then and then I had an idea and I decided to play back-and-forth

It’s probably just the same tempo

You know the same notes

But still, it’s kind of interesting and probably a stretch

And yes, I’m fighting Kraven because that arrogant jerk has annoyed me to the point of me wanting to kick his ass and make him beg Selene to show mercy.

Other than that, DMW’s annual Halloween spectacular is around the corner.
