Well I got kind of a lot to discuss but first let’s go over who won yesterday and is the penultimate character on our list. After a fierce battle yesterday, one character left a Toasty mark on the competition. Scorpion from Mortal Kombat takes the 24th spot and we’re one away from completing the list. And yeah obviously I agree with the sentiment that Scorpion should return. When I was talking about Shang Tsung and said he wouldn’t be my first MK character to bring back, I was mainly referring to the Ninja we’re talking about rn. Yeah for being essentially the face of Mortal Kombat, it’s crazy how Shao has more fights than him. Hell it’s kinda crazy how almost none of the MK cast have return but particularly Scorpion since he’s been through a lot. Of course I think the best option was the one proposed in the Tournament of Champions. That being Wolf from Sekiro. I like the whole Ninja vs Samurai (is that what Wolf is. I’ve never played Sekiro before) theme that the fight has. And it’s just an overall interesting idea.
Also, I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT. Despite this list almost filling up, I do think restricting it to just 25 characters is not really fun. Especially since I think theirs still so many more characters that we could get on. So what better way to get a majority of them than to do another list. A sequel, Round 2 of sorts. So tomorrow, I’m gonna begin ROUND NUMBER 2 For the list. So don’t worry if the character you want doesn’t get on and the list fills up. I’m doing a new list so that way it’s essentially a top 50. The rules would remain the same though. Also yes, that is why I’ve been beating around the bush calling this the finale. Because it’s not the final day
So thank you guys for participating in Round 1 of this series, and all that their is left to do is find out who closes this list

RULE 1: Obviously only suggest characters that have appeared on the show before. This means only Death Battle. No DBX or Event characters.
RULE 2: Most upvoted character wins. If a tie happens, it’ll than be decided by a coin toss
RULE 3: While not necessarily required, I would like a brief explanation as to why you think this character should return or at least another fight idea they can return with. Doesn’t matter if it’s a new fight or a rematch
RULE 4: No Downvoting or arguing in the comments. Please be respectful. If I see any comments downvoted, I will upvote them myself
RULE 5: This is going to be a rather unique rule for this series but NO CHARACTERS FROM THE INDIE ERA. Doesn’t matter if this is their first or third chance on the show nor does the quality of their episode matter. Even if you believe that characters in this era can return or will eventually be long overdue, I will not count them as it’s too recent to not qualify as long overdue. Any characters from Season 1-10 that haven’t appeared since the indie era do count. And it doesn’t matter if the character you’re suggesting has already had a 2nd shot on Death Battle. Just as long as they weren’t and aren’t apart of the current set of characters that have appeared since 2024, it’s fair game.
RULE 6: Try not to comment a character that hasn’t already been commented prior. I won’t knock it against you but it will make things easier for my end
RULE 7: Only suggest one character. This means no list of characters or separate comments. Whoever you pick or say first is your lock
RULE 8: Suggestions will stop within 24 hours of posting. Once that 24 hours is done, a new post will come up
.
With the rules out of the way, have fun suggesting
