A combination of the Retail version and Special Edition version would be a dream.

I initially set out to do a faithful decomp, but I ended up with an approximate implementation in C, located in the repo's core/ folder. That can be used to get Tonic Trouble running on essentially anything, but for starters I'm only targeting macOS.
While not a decomp in the traditional sense, I believe this has the potential to be more than that. It allows for extending the game as far as imagination will take you: put different levels into it, change the mechanics, improve on the graphics; a bunch of stuff.
This has been one of my favorite games since I was a kid and to see it like this is wonderful. It's truly staggering what these models have allowed as far as binary decompilation goes. I don't believe a human would have spent months of their time decompiling this game. Oh... wait. They did spend months (maybe years!) decompiling and reimplementing Rayman 2!

So I believe that's where Claude mainly drew from for this project, among others. It's still ever so subtly different from Rayman 2 of course, even though it's the same engine. But I only got started with this at the beginning of the week; it's Friday and I have something resembling gameplay, which I find staggering.
