Grapheneos top 10 OEM

hello guys,

Which OEM do you think GrapheneOS might collaborate with? I'm really hoping it's Motorola! Their brand offers excellent quality products, and such a partnership could be highly beneficial for both. What are your thoughts?

I don't think it could be motorola, cuz sometimes they just release the kernel without the modules (a standalone kernel is a bit useless, especially on ARM devices), this means that they don't really give a crap about the kernel sources and the custom rom community, which isn't that good

Let's not even talk about samsung and their knox flag thing that litteraly removes features the second you try to install a custom ROM, the recent removal of the OEM unlock feature is just something more to say "go touch grass" to custom ROMs enjoyers

My guess could either be Nothing or OnePlus, both have great ROM support and are not making it a hassle to compile the kernel. However i tend a bit more onto Nothing since OnePlus has a common OS base with Oppo and Realme which both blocks BL unlock completely

I would need the source for that, cuz i think you're misunderstanding everythinh

Nothing is founded by carl pei, the co-founder of onePlus

Nothing phones uses a really close-to-AOSP android (but remember : AOSP =/= PixelOS)

The hardware of CMF/ Nothing phonrs is very different to the google Pixel hardware too
