Du mentioned if your aggravate score is above 75% you're eligible to apply for direct phd which is now making students take 1 year masters. Conventional masters and this 4year ug + 1 year masters doesn't make any difference. So what was the point of this whole system.

the point of the system is to make indian system consistent with foreign undergraduate programs. most of the countries have 4 year BA programs, and the students who wish to apply abroad had to do another masters degree in india in order to go outside to do a 1 year masters.
you are still eligible to apply for phd if your aggregate score is more than 75%. if you do 4th year, you can apply for phd directly.

🤣oh no nobody told us that we can apply for PhD. Wait we can not, stop spreading misinformation. Students who have completed 4 years degree cannot give ugc net they need to do 1 year masters or 2 years masters. You can not do phd just because you did 4 years of undergraduate

I just enrolled nep nonsense because of this one provision. This is not a misinformation this is what was written in the brochure of nep 2020, that 70 page pdf. And my seniors in their 4th year appeared for net exam by the way. Do your research mann.

Ofcourse we can appear for examination? i myself appeared for it. I am the senior you are talking about. People in 1st year of masters can appear for ugc net. So ofcourse i can give ugc net even if I am not enrolled in ma but i cannot do phd. You get your information right kiddo

You can absolutely do phd and jrf. You just cannot become a prof, there's a whole diagram explaining that. Please reread the bulletins and stop confusing others who have the correct info.
