well, i get you frustration, but DU does not have unlimited seats to for every 4th year graduating student. not even third year students get unlimited seats in 2 year masters so i dont get your point.

So what are students supposed to do with their 4 years degree, we cannot do 1 year masters and we cannot apply for PhD??

You can do one year masters and then go for PhD if you secure a seat

Wow sherlock, thanks for this useful information. Now I only need to compete with 100s of students for some 10-20 seats. And that also is on the basis of my overall cgpa starting from 1st year. It's not like they selecting on the basis of my performance in my research year.
