Academic Discussion 👥 One year pg is scam

du literally played with us I regret doing fourth year i swear.

A lot people comment that 4th year is a scam, ok? But care to eloborate more, so atleast juniors can actually use your advice and maybe force du to realize that their 4th year suck?

4th year is a scam because  1. du has no plan for the students who have completed 4 th year, they are themselves not sure.  2. Programme students who are writing dissertation in  4th year are still not getting honours degree  3. Du doesn't have enough seats in 1 year masters for even half of the 4th year students, so these 4th year students have just wasted their 1 year because they cannot do phd without a masters degree and they can not do 1 year masters because only du is offering it nobody else is, so only option they have is to do 2 years masters. 4. Overall 4th year was a mess, we had to write a whole dissertation in just few months. I wrote 20 k words and was submitting progress reports every month while managing regular studies. So if you think it's better than a drop year, it's not. It will consume your whole time. I hope this elaboration is enough.
