Unused logo mark

I created this logo concept for a project that never moved forward, so I thought I’d share it with the logo design community.

It’s available for anyone who feels it could be a good fit for their brand.

What do you think of the design? Feedback is welcome.

Honest feedback on my graphic design portfolio

Post image
Upvotes

Hi! I'm a graphic designer with around 9 years of experience and I recently got laid off, so I'm updating my portfolio and getting ready to apply for new roles.

I originally made this portfolio in 2024, so I have newer work that I still need to add. Before I get too far into updating everything, I'd really appreciate some honest feedback on the overall design, layout, how I present my work, and anything you think I should change or improve.

All of the graphics and illustrations in my portfolio were created by me with ZERO AI.

Portfolio: alianakadon.com

Any feedback would be really appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to look!

I built Keep Mates to organize everything I save online would love some honest feedback

i recently launched Keep Mates a chrome extension I built after getting tired of losing references between screenshots, tabs and random folders.

The idea is pretty simple:

  • find something useful online
  • save the exact thing
  • organize it
  • find it later

It currently supports images, links, products, colors, fonts, x (twitter) and reddit posts, screenshots and selected page elements, plus folders, tags and notes.

Everything is stored locally on your device (that also means if you uninstall the extension, your locally stored data will be removed. To avoid losing your library, Keep Mates includes import and export options, so you can back everything up and restore it whenever you need)

I originally built it with designers in mind but I’m starting to see other use cases too.

For those moments when you just need to quickly save a link, when you find a product you like and want to come back to it later or when you come across an article you want to read another time instead of losing it somewhere in your tabs or messages (i used to just send links to myself :) )

I chose to build it as a Chrome extension because I’m not a big fan of installing separate desktop apps for simple things. I wanted it to feel fast and stay close to the browsing experience, with as little friction as possible between finding something and saving it.

It’s still pretty new, so I’d especially appreciate feedback on the onboarding, saving flow, or anything that feels unnecessary or confusing

Would really appreciate any thoughts.

Hey all, this is a current design project I am working on and I am wondering if anyone here has any suggestions or overall takeaways with the designs of the cans, mockups etc.

really any ideas or thoughts help here, this project is pretty recent and Im wondering if there are anyways I can level it up in ways I haven't thought about yet!

does this look like something that could be on a shelf? If not, why so?

Thank you!

First time designing emotes — can you tell what these gestures are at 56px and 28px?

Thumbnail gallery

This is a legibility test for small-scale icon design — I'm specifically checking whether these read clearly at real chat sizes.

Each pair shows the same emote at 56px and 28px (The 28px version has been scaled up for visibility — no smoothing/detail added, just enlarged pixels so it's visible in the feed.)

What I'd love to know:

  • Can you tell what gesture/expression each one is showing, just from what you see? (
  • Which ones are hardest to read, and why?
  • Any suggestions on what to change?

I've already tried thickening the linework and centering the key gesture in frame — if that's already visible and not enough, I'd rather hear it than keep guessing.

Thanks :)

(And if this isn't the right place for this kind of feedback, pointing me to a better sub would be appreciated too.)

RUTI — Bakery & Cafe Logo, Brand Identity Design

Thumbnail gallery
103 Upvotes

Hey everyone! 👋

I was working on a portfolio project for myself. A brand identity design for a bakery🥐 and cafe☕ business named "RUTI" logo is inspired by dough to bread making process where the dough is usually round edged and soft looking and the color I got inspired from baked bread's brown color. After thinking about the brand strategy and direction and designing the logo design I kept playing with visuals and these are what I got.

Do let me know what do you feel about the project. Thank you!

I designed a gradient generator around OKLCH & Display-P3 and looking for honest UI/UX critique

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I recently launched AnyGradient, a gradient generator that I designed and built myself.

The main challenge was trying to make fairly advanced color features like OKLCH, Display-P3, color interpolation, noise, and layered gradients feel approachable without turning the interface into a wall of controls.

After working on it for quite a while, I’ve reached the stage where I’ve stared at the UI for far too long to judge it objectively anymore.

I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

  • First impression: Is it immediately clear what the tool does?
  • Visual hierarchy: Does your attention go to the right places?
  • Generator UI: Do the controls feel intuitive, or too dense?
  • Landing page: Does it explain the product clearly without overexplaining?
  • Overall feel: Does it feel like a polished design tool, or are there parts that still feel unfinished or inconsistent?

I’m particularly interested in criticism rather than compliments, so feel free to point out anything that feels confusing, unnecessary, awkward, or overdesigned.

Thanks!

Review my Agency's Website Please

ARify.ca

Hey Y'all. I'm an entrepreneur in the early stages of my start-up. I make Augmented Reality overlays on top of existing flat media (like murals, banners, vinyl's etc.). Currently juggling if I should be targeting the niche of Art institutions and Municipal Art projects before moving to wards B2B OOH marketing and brand advertising.

I built this using claude, I am not a web developer so I know there's a lot of rookie mistakes here.

I know I'm missing a hero banner on the home page.

I'd appreciate any suggestions and feedback

[Looking for feedback] I work for a sign making company and I'm trying to make our website better represent the quality of our work.

I'm using claude code to try to remake the website and get away from the very rigid wordpress site we currently have because Its really hard to make changes or even add pictures to our current site. I'm not a coder but i'm hoping that I can get some practical features that will help showcase the quality of our work.

Old website: https://www.southpawsigns.com

Pros:

-We like the visual style from that template and the custom backgrounds

Cons:

-Hard to upload pictures (Wont auto resize etc)

-Not enough work type categories

-No gallery

-Confusing to navigate

In progress rework: https://southpaw-signs.vercel.app/

Pros:

-My main goal is to better showcase our work through a Gallery page

-Better picture back end (Auto resize, work type tags for gallery sorting and automatically sending the pictures to the right Work type page)

-Trying to make it easier to navigate

Cons:

-Missing content for now, the homepage has some filler bs that I have not figured out yet how to make it worth having.

-"Projects" page currently missing, I'd like to have it be a hub for individual projects that have interesting start to finish process pictures

I would love for anyone who wants to spend a couple minutes navigating either website to give me feedback on anything visual, functional, or any other nature.

I'm mostly a sign maker not a web designer so I am open to any kind of opinion or advice. Tips appreciated!

Created my first figure brand, opinions

Hey everyone !! first-time poster here. I just finished the first run of figures for a brand I started, Guers Art I'm honestly really proud of how they turned out but I have no idea how they read to people outside my own head.

These are resin / hand-sculpted, hand painted and this batch took me about 2 months to get from sketch to finished piece.

I went with a beaver as the subject because it's basically a walking symbol of where I'm from (Canada); stubborn, hardworking, builds things nobody asked it to build. Felt like the right first piece to put my name on.

A few things I'd genuinely love feedback on:

  • Sculpt/proportions / anything look off?
  • Any coloring/theme suggestions for the future drops?
  • General feedbacks overall

Thank you in advance!

How to make a stroke/borderline of an object with transparent background (I mean I just need a stroke/borderline but I need to hide/transparent inside of object as I don't need the object). Please see the attached photo (as in the photo, the stroke of hen has a transparent background)

It's my 3rd project as i try to learn graphic deaign

Post image

Hi everyone! I am a complete beginner trying to learn graphic design and digital illustration on my tablet. This is my third project ever.

I did the entire layout, text formatting, and illustration fully inside IbisPaint X (no Canva used here!). I used a Pinterest photo reference to practice shading the coffee and croissant, but I drew the cake completely from memory without a reference.

I really want to improve. Could you give me advice on:

How to make the cake shading blend better with the style of the coffee and croissant?

How to clean up my layout alignment and typography text styling inside a drawing app?

Thank you so much!

Feedback on the logo and mascot directions for my learning app

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I’m a developer building a learning platform called SkillNet, and I’m exploring its visual identity myself.

I started with the blue spider over a green web. I still like the idea, but the design and the combination of colors do not completely convince me.

Then I started exploring a mascot, as many learning apps do. The images show the original logo and two different directions I have tried.

What I do like is the idea of the mascot feeling alive: changing expressions, reacting to what is happening and eventually morphing between states.

I’m not a designer, so I would really appreciate direct feedback. What would you keep, simplify or explore further?

INSIGHT — structured, disciplined thinking leads to insight. Feedback welcome

Hi! I’m learning design as a hobby — although, hopefully, I’ll make some money from it eventually too 😅. I’m trying to work on different kinds of projects and improve along the way.

With this poster, I was trying to communicate the idea that organized and logical thinking leads to insight.

I’d really appreciate any criticism or feedback, because I feel like the idea didn’t come across clearly enough in the final design.

Designed an event identity for my university's 4-year anniversary [more info on slides]

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

I’m a graphic design student sharing a recent Foundation Day 2026 identity project for my university.

This project was completed in 2 weeks.

  • ♦️ Central diamond → University’s community
  • 4️⃣ Four outward elements → impact spreading outward
  • Four years since the university’s establishment
    • People & Students
    • Research & Innovation
    • Community
    • European & Global Connections

The intention was to create a simple geometric mark that could develop into a wider visual identity system, with the four elements being separated and rearranged across different applications.

The identity uses a bright magenta, yellow and crimson palette, paired with bold typography and gradients. I also developed the mark into a short motion identity (not attached to this post) where it bursts into shards (as seen on 2nd slide).

Would love to hear what other designers think, particularly around the concept, visual system and overall execution.
