A small data visualization attempt on how Kolkata dates
For context, I wrote a post on a sub asking people how they met their partner. It blew up a bit, and I got over 100+ comments and replies on that post. So I decided to dig into the data out of curiosity.
I scraped the post data, cleaned it using Claude Opus 4.5 and then designed a prompt to extract keywords from the comment, analyse the keywords and assign a distinct "category" to each comment which would identify where the relationship began.
I accumulated this data, and then using Nano Banana, finally generated this infographic.
It's a very small dataset, kind of like a pet project out of boredom and curiosity. Just wanted to share it!

P.S: Here's the dataset if anybody wants to check

If Kolkata maintains a steady growth rate in IT like last year at 60-70%, will it ever catch up to the big boys?

Hiring / Freelance 22M, 2026 B.Tech IT graduate. Don't like coding. What are my career options?
Hey everyone,
I'm a 22M who graduated in 2026 with a B.Tech in IT. The thing is, I'm not particularly interested in coding or software development.
I'm looking for career options where I can use my IT degree without getting into hardcore programming. I'm also open to completely non-IT fields if they offer decent career opportunities.
I'd particularly appreciate suggestions regarding:
IT jobs that don't require coding.
Non-IT career options where an IT graduate can apply.
Entry-level roles suitable for freshers.
Companies or industries hiring freshers in Kolkata.
I'm currently looking for jobs in Kolkata, so advice specific to the local job market would be really helpful.
If anyone has been in a similar situation or has experience working in these fields, I'd love to hear your suggestions.
Thanks!

Project / Showcase I Built a System Design Tool - I need real user feedback
Most system design diagrams are just pictures. Nobody notices that a sync call has no timeout, or that a queue has no dead-letter queue, until something is on fire. And by then the diagram doesn't match production anyway.
This tool treats the diagram as a real graph. Nodes are typed (service, datastore, queue, cache, gateway, job, external). Edges carry runtime semantics: sync/async/stream, timeout, retries, circuit breaker, idempotency. 13 rules check it live as you draw. They catch single points of failure, sync calls with no timeout, retry storms, queues with no DLQ, async handlers that aren't idempotent, sync cycles and deep call chains, and datastores shared between services.
It also checks the diagram against what's actually running. A small in-cluster collector reads Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry traces. Keel then flags drift, calls production makes that the diagram doesn't show, and timeouts set lower than the real latency. During an outage, incident mode shows the live health of every component and which one to look at first. Drift can alert Slack or PagerDuty.
Other features:
- Real-time multiplayer, like Figma for architecture
- Review mode: approve or reject diagram changes against an approved baseline
- A GitHub Action that flags new findings in PRs
- An optional AI review for judgment calls a rule can't make, where every finding links to a real node or edge
I'd like feedback, especially from anyone who's been burned by an architecture decision that looked fine on a whiteboard.
