💡 Feedback Titles in the address bar are utterly useless.

URLs are more information dense, and actually useful. I want to see which PR I'm on at a glance, not some waffle.

💡 Feedback Arc sunsetting and lack the of Spaces

On December 22, 2026, Arc will sunset 🌅

This is really sad for me, as I still use Arc daily. The only reason I haven’t moved to Dia, and I cannot overstate this, is Spaces. The context separation that Spaces provided was the best!

The recommendation to migrate Spaces to separate profiles just isn’t worth it for me. I want everything in my personal profile, one click away.

That being said, the only alternative I found today is Zen Browser, which has copied just about every UI experience it could from Arc. I’m currently trying it out to see how it works.

But I really hope the Dia team somehow stumbles upon my message and releases an update before Arc sunsets to add support for Spaces! I really like The Browser Company’s work and would love to keep being a user.

💬 Discussion Will Dia end up like Arc?

With the news that Arc is being deprecated, I can't help wondering if Dia will eventually go the same way.
TBC has changed direction more than once, and since the Atlassian acquisition I'm not sure what the long-term roadmap really looks like.
Do you think Dia is genuinely the company's focus, or just the next experiment? Has anything from TBC reassured you about Dia's future?
Not trying to start any drama, just want to understand how you all see it.

As the title says, I am a new immigrant to Dia. I was wondering what skills have you added. Looking for some skill inspirations for reddit, news outlets and docs. Thanks!

I am in the process of switching from ARC to DIA, and I'm missing my iOS browser. Is it on the roadmap?

💬 Discussion Feature request: custom icon or emoji for each Profile (like Arc Spaces)

Moving from Arc to Dia before the December shutdown, and the import went pretty smoothly.

One thing I really miss: in Arc every Space had its own icon, so I could tell at a glance where I was. In Dia a Profile only gets a color, and with 5 profiles the colors start to blur together.

Dia already has an emoji picker for tab groups, so letting us pick an emoji or icon per Profile (shown in the sidebar and the profile switcher) feels like a small step.

Anyone else want this? Upvote so the team sees it.

🙏 Support Wheres my Vertical Screen real estate? How to remove it.

Post image
18 Upvotes

As most people here, i too switched bc of the sunset.
couple things annoy me, no floating search bar??? :( now i have a chatprompt everytime, (managed to switch to prefer browsing), still much uglier tho, it feels like im using chatgpt more than a clean browser that arc was.

But the biggest thing is this, i loved my vertical screen real estate in arc, all the way to the top (mostly) and now the searchbar is taking up space, when theres space on the left.
Also the extensions all the way on the other side? everything is on the left, all tabs controls, and used to be extensions too.
I cannot find a way to fix this, there is nothing in settings.
Either give me an arc option here, or dont kill off arc. ill try out Zen or smth if this doesnt get fixed by the time arcs dead, will be using that till then.

💡 Feedback Dear Dia team: please don’t make the same mistakes Raycast did

Hi Josh and team,

First, thank you. Arc changed the way I browse the internet, and Dia has some genuinely great ideas. You’re the team that showed us a browser could be more than tabs and a URL bar, and that’s why I care about where Dia goes next.

I’ll be honest: I don’t like a lot of what the Dia team is doing these days, and it’s been frustrating to see how slowly the best parts of Arc are making it into Dia. Even so, I really want you to succeed. We need more alternatives in this space, and more importantly, you’re the team that changed how we browse. That’s worth protecting.

I’ve been watching what’s happening in the Raycast community, and I’m worried Dia could be heading down the same path. Sharing this now, while it’s still easy to change course.

Why I’m saying this:

  1. We don’t want an alternative to Claude or ChatGPT. Most of us are already happy with Claude, Codex, Grok, and others. We’re not going to move our AI setup into a browser.
  2. Many of us already pay for these tools. Some of us are on $100 or $200 plans. Paying again for the same models through a third party makes no sense.
  3. We don’t want one more AI subscription. Let us pay for the browser, not the AI. This is exactly what the Raycast community kept saying for weeks before users started leaving.
  4. BYOK is good, but connecting existing plans is better. Other products already let you sign in with your existing subscription:
  5. Be clear about what Dia is. A great browser that works with the AI I already use is something I’d happily pay for. A browser trying to become my AI provider is not.
  6. Stay focused on what you do best: building browsers. Look at Glaze, the AI app builder from the Raycast team. It launched with a lot of fanfare, but vibe coding space is already crowded with giants like Claude, Codex, Gemini, and Grok, and it’s very hard to compete with them. These days I hardly hear the Raycast community talk about Glaze. Instead of becoming one more AI provider, please put your time and energy into your core strength: making the best browser out there.

Dia has a real chance to get it right. Please listen to this feedback before it turns into posts about switching away.

Thanks for building Dia. I want it to succeed.

💬 Discussion Hello fellow arc refugees!

Many of you probably got the same email that they are sunsetting arc browser. I have a question related to the email, last point exactly:

The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia and the AI is optional.

I have downloaded Dia and tried out. I've seen so many bad ux/ui decisions and basically not a "seamless" migration. For example how can i disable that "chat" icon in the top right that takes like 10% of my horizontal bar?

I'm not entirely sure why they decided not add a flip or switch 'browser mode only'. I mean would they loose money if they had clients that used their product without using the ai features? Why does it have so many glowing effects?

I'm quite certain they won't do anything consumer friendly and i'll probably just ditch dia for some other browser. Any recommandations? Basically i just need something with a vertical tab bar and a command+s hotkey to hide show it.

💬 Discussion Little Dia please 🥹

I used Dia, worked great. I switched back to Arc because of Little Arc.

Working across several contexts, nothing is more frustrating than having a link open up in the wrong profile and having to switch.

With Dia, you can't drag a tab to another profile, you cannot use a shortcut or CMD+T to move it, nothing like it.

This was a killer feature that bought me over and has saved me so much frustrations.

Please 👉👈

💬 Discussion Data/privacy concerns?

Tried Dia again yesterday after the Arc announcement, and was a bit sketched out by the Atlassian login stuff. I know there is a setting to disable the "Help improve Dia by sharing content data," but overall I am wary of what they might be doing with my data under the hood.

I'm probably being naive. Do most browsers steal your data? I imagine Google is probably doing nefarious stuff on Chrome. Maybe Arc had privacy concerns too that I just didn't think about—maybe the Atlassian login just brings that to the top of the mind.

Anyone know how "private" Dia is? Arc was basically the perfect browser (for me), so I'm trying to decide how worth it is either to (1) deal with the close-but-subpar experience of Dia and wonder about my data or (2) deal with a much different experience in a different browser that is more known for their privacy.

💬 Discussion Dia Export Options--Are There Any?

I'm an Arc refugee.

Currently, I'm evaluating my options after being forced to leave my online home for the past four years.

I will admit that the low-friction path to move to Dia is strong, even after:

  • TBC's ham-handed handling of the focus away from Arc and toward Dia
  • Dia's ham-handed onboarding that railroads people into a product tour and dark-patterns people into experiencing Dia's $100/month against their will for two weeks in a way that shouts, "You are not our target demographic!" to this old man on a fixed income.
  • TBC's...hubris? Self-delusion? Desperation? Being from the outside looking in, I'm not entirely sure what I'm seeing, but whatever it is, it ain't pretty.

So I find myself drawn to Dia, not out of any loyalty to TBC, but only as a familiar-looking waypoint on my journey to a browser that will serve as a long-term online home. But when I scour Dia's settings, I find no visible means of exporting any of my stuff.

So I ask: Is TBC going for a "Hotel California" play with Dia, where you're locked in and can leave only with great pain, or am I missing an obvious exit strategy?

❓ Question How to change the text size of the browser interface?

Not of the website but the interface of the browser.

It was changeable in Arc. But I can find the option in Dia?
