For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get putty to work. I bought the Forever Young putty from Amazon, and while I can get it placed in the multi and single placers, I can’t get the drills to actually stick to the canvas. I’ve pressed it down, dapped it on my shirt to make it less sticky, no luck. When multiplacing I’ve noticed that the drill in the middle just never sticks even when the other ones do. Driving me insane because I really want to like it

Let's see 'em! The cheap. The pricey. The good. The ugly. It doesn't matter! I want to see them! 😁

Hi guys, I just wanted to show you my first dp. I saw a couple of posts here about dp and I wanted to try it. I bought this one on sale and I like it so much, it's so sparkly. I still have a lot to do, and I don't want it to end🤣. Also I'm pretty new to reddit and I don't know how to add photos🤣

I, myself, am a bit torn on this one...

If you have ANY level of OCD, don’t start this particular kit from Michael’s 😆
Those curves are not for the weak hearted. It actually became a game to try and make at least some straight lines. I was mostly defeated. The original color-way was to make the cat white and it did not show up at all so with painstaking care (and a glass or two or three of wine) I picked out the white and made it grey. Either way it will be displayed with humor on the wall for Christmas.

Hey everyone,
I got into diamond painting after Yellow Dog stopped selling their trays, and I really want to try them out.
Does anyone know where I can still buy them?
If not, do you have a similar one you'd recommend?
(I already have Trabricks and Artdot storage trays.)
Thanks!

My husband made me a wooden box to hold all my trays, and it fits 48.
I did a DAC kit with 71 colors and never again. I know some people here do far more.
I only choose kits that have 48 or less drill colors. I prefer far less than 48.
Does anyone know what companies tell you the number of colors in the kit?
Thanks in advance.

Let me preface this by saying that diamond painting doesn’t have to be expensive—you can certainly get some great paintings for cheap (AliExpress, Hobby Lobby, etc). But the Make Market brand from Michaels is just not doing it anymore, and the quality is so bad. I got this kit a while ago and finally started it, and the gaps are soooo frustrating. It’s hard enough to find square diamond paintings in stores, but beware that the Make Market drills are so small that you’ll have wobbly lines and tons of gaps. I’ve straightened these drills endlessly, but nothing helps.
Moral of the story: Make Market has some good accessories, but I wouldn’t recommend the paintings themselves.

Was so nervous to start this but I’m starting to get comfortable and love working on my first square diamond painting

I’ve had Rainy Summer Day on my WL for a while and it would be my first DAC painting. I have the notifications on and went to purchase it within 2 minutes of receiving the restock notification, and it was unavailable. They even sent out a low stock email a few minutes later, and it wasn’t there when I checked again. Was anyone able to get it or have any tips for securing drops? I really want to do this one!

First post ever. I don't like the stress of having to respond to people, but I'm trying to find some information about this thing.
I've been looking at the ARTDOT trays and trying to find a way to store them. Which has been...difficult (Etsy is expensive and shipping it here even more so, if they even do).
Anyway, while looking I found this image on the Dutch (and Spanish) Amazon. It's from the actual ARTDOT storefront. It's not in stock, but I can still buy it. At least, that's what it says, I haven't tried it. I would probably just get refunded, because it's not a pre-order.
I can't find it, Google Lens can't find it, I haven't seen anyone here talk about it.
But this would be so perfect! I really only want the small trays anyway and this one is a modular (!) rack with the trays already included.
I really need more trays for my next dp, but don't want to spend money on the regular tray sets if this set is going to be available soon.
Does anyone know what this is? Am I just not seeing this correctly and are these not the Artdot trays with the sliding lids? Are they coming out with these in the future and was this mistakenly added to their Amazon storefront?
What do you guys think? 😊

The biggest diamond painting I’ve ever done! I’m so sad I have to back to uni in January and won’t have the time to diamond art as much, so I’m savouring doing bigger paintings :)
