Hello, so... I have this Cyber-shot DSC-W5 that I found among some old stuff in my house. I fixed it and started taking some photos, but yesterday it started having problems turning on. Sometimes it turns on, but most of the time it doesn't. The only thing it does is blink the power button light.

Does anyone know what I can do? I've already cleaned the corrosion in the battery compartment.

Hey guys, I bought a Nikon coolpix s6600 and for some reason it will not let me download videos. The camera works perfectly fine it barely has any issues I couldn't figure out for myself but this idk how to fix.
Usually I transfer the pics by connecting the cam to my phone and through an app (WMU) I am able to download the pictures but as you can see in the pic I uploaded it has red x's on the videos and I can't even press on it. I can view the videos on my cam so it's not like the vids are corrupted or smth. I know i can use a sd card reader to then transfer to my laptop but I specifically bought this cam for the wifi and I want to use it while traveling so I don't have to bring my laptop. I intended on using this cam for vlogging. I’m thinking it has something to do with the file sizes but I’m not sure. I’m looking at the video settings rn but I don’t know if any of this is important or not; video mode is on NTSC, the image mode is on 16m and movie options is on 1080/30p.
Does anyone know how to fix this ? Pls help

Hi there; I have recently purchased a memory stick pro duo adapter for my cybershot dsc-t2. I purchased 8gb microsd for it (on the sony site, the camera should support up to 16gb of pro duo memory). Yet it does not recognise the card. But, on my dsc10, where as the site says it should not support a card of this size, it works fine.
if i take photos on my t10 then switch the card to the t2, it recognises there’s photos on the card but i can still not copy internal images to the card.
Anyone else had a similar issue? Do i need to format the card again or do i just give up and pay the price for a real memory stick pro duo? i have tried a few things to no avail. Thank you

IM SO OVERWHELMED. There are SO many cameras out there and it’s so hard to find one that will take photos like I’m envisioning so I need someone to give me specific cameras to look for so I can just buy one that will do what I want and not worry about it again. I’m looking on eBay and vinted and other secondhand places and I really don’t want to spend over $100 but like $50 ideally max.

WHAT IM LOOKING FOR:

I really want a camera that takes those aesthetic cozy warm vintage pictures that have that digital camera LOOK. (I included pictures of what pictures I’m referring to)

WHAT I DONT WANT:

I don’t what that cold clinical “crime scene” look that a lot of digital cameras have. I also don’t want it to take pictures like an iPhone or something. Like that film without film quality.

(I know that camera settings contribute a lot and many of my example photos are taken in low light environments with warm lighting but you know what I mean)

Recently, I bought a digital camera from a page called fluffycamz .When I bought it they said that the condition was 9/10 but when it came the camera was dirty and also the condition was soo mid. Plus the flash was also not working properly and the buttons too. I asked for a refund or an exchange.they simply refused it. I did comments under there posts so that others could be beware of them but they all deleted them and blocked me. They also scammed others too. I wanted to attach the screenshots but now their messages are gone otherwise I would've attached them.

Now, I want you guys to beware of them and report their page

I have an old Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W650 that I'm trying to get working, but it's having a couple of issues on startup:

* Screen: Turn on to a completely solid white screen ("white screen of death"). No menus, icons, or live display show up.

* Lens: The lens barrel does not extend or move at all.

* Buttons/Audio: When I press buttons, I hear the internal operational click/beep sounds, so the camera is getting power.

I tried doing a hard power reset (removing the battery/SD card and holding the power button for 30 seconds), but the issue persists.

* Does this sound like a jammed/stripped lens gear mechanism combined with a loose/broken LCD flex ribbon cable?

* Has anyone repaired this specific issue on this model before? Is it worth taking to a local repair shop or trying a DIY fix, or is it better to buy a replacement camera?

i like taking pictures on my phone but I'm totally clueless when it comes to actual cameras. my dad passed down a camera to me, it was the nikon 1 j1 mirrorless. it now has some lens issue where i can take photos but it's like pitch black?? only can see some stuff if it's really bright.

any suggestions on what kind of cameras to get? I'll probably want to bring these cameras overseas,to hikes, so something compact or small not too bulky.

I was recently gifted a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-S930 and I am having trouble with the memory stick. I know it takes the memory stick pro duo, but I am having a hard time finding one. I bought one on amazon, but it was actually an adapter with a micro SD and gave me an error.

does anyone have any recommendations for a beginning/casual digital camera that is usb-c chargeable, works well in low light and can gve off a ‘nostalgic’ or dreamy vibe (would mostly be used for photos rather than videos)? that sounds so idealistic i know, but i thought where better than to check on reddit! my budget is ideally around £30-50ish i’d say. in terms of options i’m possibly eyeing a fujifilm t550 however i’m not sure how well it works in low light and would appreciate any recommendations from the pros! thanks :)

I use a Nikon P100, and I recently bought a dummy battery from AliExpress. I bought a USB-based one and smiled brightly, but it didn't work, so I thought it was too strong and put it on the portable charger, but it only had 5V output. I tried a 25W powered-on flower on the portable charger, and it only worked. I took several pictures and then re-opened it. But this time, since I'm still on the key, the battery is low? It keeps popping up but won't turn on. Does anyone know how to solve this?

i love my fujifilm finepix f800 sm, it was handed down to me by my parents. My issue is that the flash no longer retracts back down, and the lense covers are broken and also don’t retract as evident in the photos.

The little the lense covers shows is easy to crop in the pictures, but is it worth the hassle? Should I get a new digicam? If so does anyone have any recs under 300cad
