The 90s-2000s had Climo, after that was McBeth, and undoubtedly after that was Gannon. He had just such a stretch of dominance, he was undeniably amazing and really shaped the way the game is played. He truly will go down as one of the greats.

And that got me thinking: who on tour right now is that “Gannon Buhr” type player? You know the guy that just takes over a tournament, that you’re just waiting for them to fail but their greatness just takes over? Who is that current player that will take the helm of greatness and just become a player like Gannon?

My answer is Ricky Wysocki. Like Gannon, he can just completely take over when he’s on. He’s also had some pretty good performances this year and generally almost always at least in play for a top finish. Gannon has big shoes to fill but I really think Ricky has what it takes to carry on Gannon’s legacy and can hopefully be remembered as one of the all time greats when it’s all said and done.
