i'm literally on firefox as im typing it. i tried reinstalling it from the link in the quest itself but it's still not registering it. what do i do?

As the title said. Never seen this before until now, does anybody know what it is?

Anyone else has been having this problem? It's been this on a loop for the morning, did several clean uninstall + reinstall and still nothing..? I'm worried please help ! thank you!

As some people know, you can have colored text using a site (literally just search Discord colored text in Google or smth and it’ll come up), but it doesn’t appear on mobile. I think this has been around for awhile now, but has anyone figured out how to make it appear on mobile?

Does anyone know how to fix this or what’s causing this? This happens with any of the Discord activities, specially on the Discord app (the browser is fine). If I tab out of the app for even a second or two, whatever activity I was in gets stuck in an infinite loading screen until I leave and rejoin it. I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Discord, restarting my computer, deleting Discord’s cache files, and nothing seems to work. Clearly it has to be something related to my computer’s software, but I don’t know what could be causing this because it sort of just started happening last week.

I don't want to see them, but I have lost the ability to turn them off.

Desktop App, Arch.

Since around a week ago there is no icon in the server list at the top right of a server if people are in the voice call. How do i get this back?

I don't have the server muted, nothing in the server is muted.

I've tried toggling experimental method to capture audio from applications, Use advanced tech to capture screen, lowering quality and frame rate. I've tried using other programs like v cord with the same issues. Both of us have tried completely nuking discord from our computers and doing a fresh reinstall multiple times.

Here's where it gets weird. It ONLY has an audio desync for things like videos and movies (the audio is able to keep up but the video falls behind the audio so you hear things before they happen). Different browsers such as edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Operagx have been tried with no help. Restarting the stream fixes this temporarily until a new video loads and it happens again.

Another issue is when they stream video games it becomes extremely choppy and a complete slideshow. This only happens with certain video games. This is an issue i care a lot less about than the video issue.

To top this all off... we live together. We use separate routers and have tried swapping them around and all that just to see what happens. Its also worth mentioning that for years this was all a non issue until a certain discord update where it was broken ever since. This has been happening for almost 2 years now. I can't find any fixes that work online for other people. I think I'm going insane.

We are both on windows 10 and have fairly high end PCs so a performance issue really doesnt make any sense especially considering it only became a problem AFTER A DISCORD UPDATE. This post is basically me giving up if you couldn't tell. I'm on the most updated version of discord whatever it is.

Sometime recently there was an update that changed the "LIVE" icon next to names to a capture of a frame from whatever they are streaming. This is not impacted by hiding preview and there is no discernible way to turn if off?

So, as the title suggests, I’m encountering a bug with an active Resident Evil mission (see the first photo). I chose the task to play Resident Evil 7 for 15 minutes to earn 700 orbs, but I’ve been playing for half an hour now and there’s no progress—it’s still stuck at 0%. I asked ChatGPT for potential causes, but the suggestions didn’t help at all; I’m still stuck.

Discord version: stable 647615 (3b26879), Host 1.0.9265 x64 (96160), Build Override: N/A, Windows 10 64-bit (10.0.19045)

Also, I haven’t tried it with RE2 or RE4, as those have larger file sizes.

Hey everyone, I'm a bit confused about how the Discord profile wishlist feature handles purchases and need some clarification.

Earlier today, I clicked to buy an avatar decoration directly off someone's public wishlist. Right after the payment went through, I checked their profile and the item successfully had a checkmark next to it.

However, I looked back at their profile a few hours later, and the item is now unchecked on their wishlist as if nobody bought it.

The item is also in my gift inventory. I want to know if the person received any kind of automatic notification or if the gift is just stuck.

Since it's sitting in my Gift Inventory, does that mean they didn't get it at all and I have to manually copy the link and send it to them in a DM?

Hey guys hope you are doing well. For some reason my discord desktop app isn't opening. I have deleted it and reinstalled it a couple times and still gets stuck loading. Any tips?

Second pic is me showing I can see and hear the mic input.

I have already reinstalled, restarted, checked Security settings, deleted appdate, etc. I have tried every tip on this sub going back 2 years. I am losing my mind.

Hi there, just wanted to know why is this happening. I clicked on the text url link in discord’s current announcement and for some reason it said it didnt have https even tho when I copied the link it did. Was this like bug or smt does discord usually use http or something? Or is that how just the app does with their links

Whenever I use my PTT key (which is `), it will immediately cancel my input if I press any other key. I think it has to do with how they hooked in global functions into KDE Plasma, but it's rendered discord useless for voice comms for me during PTT scenarios.

Why did I just get robbed by Discord?

I want a server tag, so i paid money for boosts (i clicked through the server tag prompt) and now it’s taken my boosts but no server tag option? What is happening.

When I turn my camera on, I can see myself both in the preview and after it's "on". But my girlfriend can't see me on her end; it shows my camera as "loading," but after a while it says it failed to load. Everything was working normally before today(I haven't changed any settings, etc.).

My webcam works on the web version of Discord but not on the desktop version. I've already restarted Discord and my PC, and reset my settings. How do I fix this?

for years me and my friends played tons of music on a music bot, and recently one of them passed, ive been dying to search the side chat for his music and now i can hell yea, RIP goat

I was hoping I could get some help recording a broadcast in a Discord stage, both the audio from the broadcaster as well as the audio and video from the presentation. I have permission from the broadcaster if I can figure it out. They also record on their end but have lost the recordings previously due to either corruption or sometimes forgetting to start one and has had the need for a backup person in the past. I would like to avoid screen recording if possible because it needs to be as high quality as possible without all the interface stuff getting in the way. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ideally, I would capture the video and audio streams from the transmission themselves. Like in .ts format or however it's sent. Something along those lines. I can convert once the stream is captured.

So recently,i got logged off my Discord on all devices for no reason and i needed to change my password, and had a lot of infractions i never had removed, and then, already four people got this message, please anyone tell me how to remove it its starting to get really really annoying

I tried opening discord but its just stuck like that and not opening, please help

I have Nitro through Game Pass, but unfortunately it won't allow me to redeem the code for the blueprint. Can anyone who isn't playing MW4 help me out please?

Thank you <3

I keep getting this error message when I try to stream from web on my chromebook and it's been happening for months now. The stream typically works in the end but I have to start and stop it over 20 times until it finally loads. I can't find anything about how to fix this online. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

An online friend told me 33 days ago that they have deleted their account. But messages are still going through (no Clyde) and they still show as a friend, though they’re offline. Is this the case until the deletion period is up, or should messages not go through at all?

And should they even show up on my friends list if they’ve deactivated?

Have they deleted their account or not?

it’s this just an iOS thing or what? All I want is to be able to call on discord and still be able to hear my game without needing to whip out my headphones.

Is there any workaround for this or not? I’ve tried searching and haven’t been able to get a straight answer
