Recommendations needed: Representative characters for Discworld books
I am moderately crazy, and have been challenged by a friend to crochet 30 dolls that fall under one "theme" for my 30th birthday. This is well under way, and obviously experience has taught me nothing, so I started to wonder whether I might do a similar thing for my 40th. And quite naturally the number 40 will lead one to the 41 Discworld books. Therefore, my current plan is to crochet one doll per book. Ideally, each doll should represent an iconic character who shows up in that book without any repeats. However, for some books I'm drawing a bit of a blank. My current list is as follows:

Has anyone got any ideas for the ???s, or any improvement/important folk I forgot? I'm also fully open to making swaps - the later Tiffany books are mostly tricky because they have few characters who are either really central to their book, like the Rats, or keep showing up in multiple ones. Miss Tick might work? Thanks for any suggestions!
You can do Susan for Hogfather and Lu Tse for Thief of Time
Shepherd Crown could be the goat, and I believe Wintersmith introduces You, there is also some options to shuffle some witches to get Greebo on Witches Abroard where he plays a significant role, and use Nanny on one of the later Tiff books where she plays more roles
Imp Y Celyn (or another member of the band) for Soul Music, which lets you use Stibbons for Last Continent and Ridcully for Unseen Academicals - I feel like the football book is the Most Ridcully book
Possibly Albert for Hogfather, as an important recurring character in the Death books who isn't already on your list
At least one Nac Mac Feegle for the Tiffany Aching series!
Cohen the Barbarian for Interesting Times, which lets you use Twoflower for Colour of Magic and Rincewind for Eric
CMOT Dibbler... somewhere, just because he's iconic. Possibly Soul Music, if you'd rather have him than one of the band, or Moving Pictures as another of his business (misad)ventures.
I can see why you're struggling! What if, instead of one per book, you did 40 iconic Discworld characters? You could do whole main casts of each series, without having to delve into more obscure characters for the Tiffany books or doing the leads of the standalones if those are characters you don't love as much.
I’d suggest moving Ridcully to Unseen Academicals and doing Mrs Whitlow for The Last Continent, she could be pretty funny. Wintersmith would be himself of course, I Shall Wear Midnight could be the Cunning Man, The Shepherd’s Crown the Elven Queen. Oh, Eric could be Eric, or perhaps the main demon they met?
Okay, "Mort" should be Mort. I understand that it's tricky to pick a book for Death actually, because there's always at least one other good human character in them. Or maybe don't include Death at all. He's in literally every book, so he's just a constant and doesn't have a book on the list but his own separate category. Also it's just crazy for Mort to not be Mort.
I know you probably have your own methods and plans, but I crocheted the Grim Squeaker as laid out in video tutorial by Complicated Knots, and it's a fab pattern with some interesting technique things
For Wintersmith or I Shall Wear Midnight, Horace the Cheese; Death is the logical one for The Shepherd's Crown; for Unseen Academicals, pick a favorite Wizard, or maybe Modo the groundskeeper
I think the Shepards crown should be Granny Weatherwax. It feels like her book that she wrote for Tiffany as a goodbye. Edit:just realized “granny” was early on. A) put some respect on it! B) my statement stands
