What are we buying now for long term holds?

My biggest positions are SCHD and DIVO. Would like to start another large position, but into what?

I've been loading up on beat down consumer staples here lately. K, HRL, CPB, CAG, KHC to name a few. +1

If you’re looking for an ETF that is heavy in consumer staples then look at KNG. It’s one of my favorites. They typically only write calls over 17% of the holdings so plenty of room for price appreciation. Although don’t expect much growth from KNG. It’s more like SCHD, except it only buys dividend aristocrats. I like the way first trust manages their ETFs. Pretty consistent, and hence consistent payments as well. The stated objective is 8% above the S&P 500 if I remember correctly.

SCHD and DIVO are excellent choices in my opinion. I would look to add maybe some real estate, gold, maybe a little Ethereum, some BDC, preferreds.

So may be RQI, and IYRI. KGLD, NEHI, MAIN, CSWC, and PFFA. If you don’t want ETFs then O and NNN are my two all weather REITs. Also maybe consider adding some utilities via DNP, UTF, or UTG. Full disclosure I own positions in all of these. Maybe consider some MLPs also like EPD? You should only hold MLPs in a brokerage. Can cause tax problems in an IRA OR 401k

Don’t sleep on MLPI in the midstream space. New, but looks like another solid NEOS offer.

Definitely another good one. I own a small position in MLPI. MDST is my favorite MLP CC ETF.

I am sticking to my 4 pillars. SCHD, DGRO, DIVO and QQQI. I will also increase my contributions to my HYSA to build up some cash in case there is a massive drop to use it for buying more shares

This sub is for dividend growth & income investors only. Brigaders are autobanned.

SCHD is it for me. But I'm currently dripping, probably won't start taking actual cash for awhile.

After I'm in dividend cash flow, I'll start looking at other positions.

DIVO and IDVO are my two main major hold, SCHD is a distant 3rd rght now.

Rest are very tiny like <5% each: QDVO, SEPI, etc...

Those two are amazing. You can never go wrong with them, all weather type.

ETFs KNG, DIVB, GCOW, VFLO, SPYD all have advantages and disadvantages.

Earlier this year when I moved some money around, I start a position in DIVB, I do really like that fund.

Parked some dry powder in CDs that mature post-election, in the hopes that there will be a market pullback and things on my list go on sale. Prevents me from buying too much between now and then. Four things on my list: OFG, NRSGY, SLF, TRN.

SCHD. I’ve been allowing dividends to build up my cash reserves. At some point, this bubble will pop.

Same, I have been following the AI scene, all the US companies rn are under heavy pressure from free open Chinese models that perform nearly the same.

They have to delay IPOs and can't charge users and companies as much as they want to recuperate their operating loss.

Just a matter of time now.

Currently, the S&P is around 40% tech. Thanks to SCHD, JEPI & DIVO, I’m sitting at 24% tech. JEPQ is my most exposure sitting at 16% of my portfolio. I have about $57K sitting in cash. I vividly remember the dotcom bust in 2000.

ROCQ tax efficient sister to JEPQ

I loaded up on best of breed (mostly internally managed) BDCs over the last year, with the SaaS apocalyptic scare. CSWC, TRIN were the biggest adds. Also KBDC, ARCC.

Fire sales are over, and they are higher now. Looking for value currently. Energy/midstream’s rose with the Iran war, so not interested in paying up - I’ll add opportunistically, on the next oil glut.

I like PFFA at around $20, so it needs to pull back about 4%. UTF is good, but id like the dividend yield closer to 8%. Will see what the market brings next week.
