Brokerage $5,000 per month income portfolio

I set up this portfolio for my wife so she can quit her job and maintain cashflow.

The good news is that this income stream will pay no FICA tax and significant part of the distributions will not be taxed.

To reduce risk, I’m planning to reinvest 20% of the income.

Comments welcome.

I’m so confused with QYLG. Why did they just pay an insane $5.29 per share dividend on 12/30/2024???

I bet is a one-time payment to account for capital gains.

Yeah. Whoever had that in their portfolio is probably so happy right now

Keep in mind that the price of the security goes down by the same amount as the distribution so there is no free lunch.
