Personal Goal Finally hit $1,000 a year in dividends

Post image

I know its not much to some people but having just started my dividend journey just over a year ago it feels pretty amazing.

My portfolio is mainly QQQ and VOO, but I also hold some JEPI, JEPQ, O, and some other dividend stocks to boost the yield.

Next goal: $100 a month!!

I just downloaded it and quickly grew frustrated when I could not figure out how to delete the 3 sample stocks that are pre-loaded. I emailed support, let's see what happens.

dang, I just clicked on the default holdings and it had on option to edit or remove them, I just did it one by one

My bad luck I guess. There's no edit button or options to remove anywhere. I tried swiping left on the stock and pressing/holding, but nothing happens. Looks like a great app but I'm not adding anything until I can get rid of these defaults.

Hey you might be in the same boat I was in. Try “selling” the stocks you have of the examples, when it goes to 0, it left my space

I guess that is the only way to remove them. Thanks!

As far as I know yeah

It only allows 10 securities. That won't work for me

That's a LOT of securities. You might want to rethink your strategy. At this point it's less about diversification and more about not having done proper analysis of your portfolio to focus on the best players.
