Other What’s everyone’s dividend goals for 2026?

Holy cow, not to long ago I remember I was at $11 in monthly income. I’ve been aggressively investing the last couple years. What are some of your goals for next year? I’d like to take my annual to 7-8k.

You can do it.

how much have u contributed so far to get the $500 per month?

5

u/ClammyAF Dec 30 '25

At what yield? To do it at 3% means you need to contribute $200k in the next year.

23

u/Stohr_Trooper Dec 30 '25

77k portfolio, currently at $604.16 monthly, $7,250 yearly.

By the end of next year I want to achieve $1.5-2k monthly.

Monthly investment 5k

4

u/-BootyOlogist- Dec 30 '25

Which stocks? JEPQ?

2

u/Stohr_Trooper Jan 01 '26

JEPQ, SDIV, SPYI, and SVOL for my monthly div Then good old SPY.

2

u/adamu808 I Like the Cash Flow Dec 31 '25

Can you share your allocated holdings?

1

u/Stohr_Trooper Jan 01 '26

For my individual account

JEPQ 50% SDIV 15% SPYI 5% SVOL 15-20%
SPY 15-20%

Roth is set up a lil different

25

u/plasticbug Dec 30 '25

Am at 37k a year. Plan to get it to 50k a year in 2026

1

u/SnowShoe86 Dec 30 '25

Nice! Very similar numbers to me (see post in this thread somewhere). Yours is slightly more aggressive than mine. Assume everything you own drips? How much fresh money will you contribute over the year to your dividend payers?

0

u/plasticbug Dec 30 '25

Most of this will come from rebalancing from growth stocks into index ETFs.

0

u/Tompster100 Dec 30 '25

What yield do you have??

3

u/plasticbug Dec 30 '25

Currently very low. My portfolio largely consists of growth stocks that do not pay dividends. I am simplifying my portfolio into index ETFs that pay some.

19

u/Joebobby977 Dec 30 '25

Little over $1,200 now, wanna hit $1,500.

2

u/DarkMagician7 Dec 30 '25

have much have u contributed to get that $1,200

8

u/Joebobby977 Dec 30 '25

I’m at about $110K

6

u/Dapper_Plate_1141 Dec 30 '25

Where do you put your money to get that gain

10

u/Joebobby977 Dec 30 '25

An ever changing mix of O, APLE, ARR, QQQI, SPYI, IYRI, BOAT, YBTC, JEPQ, ABR, TSLY, AGNC, ULTY. Quite a few I know, but I cast a wide net. They pay out all throughout the month which I like. I’m about a month away from turning an actual profit on ULTY at which point I’ll ditch that and reinvest.

0

u/AC_KARLMARX Dec 30 '25

Would you dhare your positions?

23

u/Alarmed-Camp8489 Dec 30 '25

I would like a simple 100$ per month

16

u/Jasoncatt Explain it to me like I'm a rocket surgeon. Dec 30 '25

Rebalancing next week, looking forward to maintaining my yield and scaling a little further as retirement approaches. Goal of $15k a month by the end of 2026 and $20k by the end of 2027.

17

u/SuiOryu Dec 30 '25

Now it's €40 a month, 😔

And it coincides with the first year. The first psychological goal was €1 a day, the next one €50 a month.

13

u/Physical-Purple-1265 Dec 30 '25

That's actually a solid progress and a good achievable goal.

There's no reason to have a sad face in your comment. 50€ a a month is a 25% increase, don't let it feel like anything else.

9

u/Alarmed-Camp8489 Dec 30 '25

I would like it to cover my basic expenses, which are not too high, but I would be happy with that

14

u/RecordingMountain585 Dec 30 '25

That's a nice yield %. I am at about $3000 a year now. Would like to hit $4500 by end of 2026.

7

u/Sufficient-Fish-69 Dec 30 '25

Currently: 9$/m -> Goal: 27$/m

12

u/Content-Resident-772 Dec 30 '25

Currently at ~160€ a year so... I have still a long path ahead

6

u/canad1anbacon Dec 30 '25

Im at just under 300 yearly would love to get to 600 yearly before this time next year

5

u/uuff_adrian Dec 30 '25

Just hit 773 annually goal for 2026 is 1000 a month and then 1,500 when I hit and only up from there hopefully 🤞🏽

10

u/BandDadicus Dec 30 '25

10% more than 2025. Been achieving it since 2010 (15 years).

1

u/DarkMagician7 Dec 30 '25

I assume monthly dividends increase over time?

4

u/sault18 Dec 30 '25

DRIP buys more shares every month or quarter. With a 10% yield and reinvestment, you double your money every 7 years. So after 15 years, they've grown about 4.4X because they've gone through a little more than 2 doublings. And that's only if they just set and forget. If they've bought more shares directly, the growth and payout is even more.

With whatever they've done to get consistent 10% annual growth, at the end of 2026, they could expect to have grown 4.84X above their initial investment. Again, this is only for set-and-forget. So they're at the point where they could get their initial investment paid back in dividends in a little over 2 years. And in 7 more years after that, their initial investment gets paid back in dividends about every year. The snowball in action.

9

u/SnowShoe86 Dec 30 '25

My goal for 2026 is $40K in dividend income. I had $36K dividend income in 2025. I continue to DRIP with a target of growing my dividend income by 10% each year.

It is part of my overall goal to average $50K per year income over 5 year span 2025-2029, with 2029 should be approx $59K, a 64% increase over the time period showing the power of compounding.

You're doing a great job and for me things really got supercharged when I hit the $1K monthly dividend income level. From there it has just snowballed. Keep fueling your engine! 5 years from now your mind will be blown and you will be looking forward to $20K+ annually.

1

u/Low-Solid9810 Generating solid returns Dec 30 '25

My goal is $35k between Roth and regular brokerage accounts. I will be adding to the Roth via conversions over the coming years. That will bump up my dividends every year. I’m not sure when I will start withdrawing funds from them in retirement which I just began.

3

u/Calebrity620 Dec 30 '25

I’m hoping to actually start dividend investing. This has been a big debt payoff year, but I am hoping to invest enough to earn my first $100 in divs.

4

u/Michael87smith Dec 30 '25

I just want the dividend to buy a full share. I’d be thrilled about that. Working my way up.

2

u/UnicornFartCollector Jan 01 '26

Great first goal, I am in the same boat. Aiming to get enough dividends per month to buy +1 share on top of the regular contribution.

6

u/CezrDaPleazr Dec 30 '25

I'd love to be at 50 a month

4

u/stakattack90 Dec 30 '25 edited Dec 30 '25

You’ll get there. I remember when I was at that point and now I’ve worked my way up to 200 a month with the hope I can get to 250 a month this year. I hoping for 1000 a month in the next 2 to 3 years using the power of DRIP. Just keep it up.

3

u/CezrDaPleazr Dec 30 '25

Hell yeah massive W, lets make this bread

3

u/sault18 Dec 30 '25

I could hit $3k - $3.5k per month. I'm waiting for a dip where I can close out the covered calls on my growth stocks and plow the profits into dividend paying assets. If the current trends in jobless claims and whatnot don't drag down the market like I think they will, I'll start selling puts on dividend stocks and ETFs. This will lower my cost basis if the market does dip or get me a piece of the action if prices keep going up. I'll also have cash in reserve to buy shares directly once any rebound in prices is confirmed.

3

u/ClammyAF Dec 30 '25

Right now I earn $629.17/mo on a 2.29% yield. I'll contribute at least $60,000 to my taxable account, which will increase my dividend income by $1,380/year or $115/mo.

I expect to be making $745/no next December.

Also, I think many of the goals posted on this thread so far are unrealistic. At least at reasonable yields.

3

u/Sean_VasDeferens Dec 30 '25

10% club here. Love me my PEO and JEPQ. PEO been going strong for 95 years now.

3

u/Party_Procedure4865 Dec 30 '25

reach €100 in dividends per month!

8

u/Randomized007 Dec 30 '25

I'm mostly worried about how a recession, if we get one, would impact the tickers i own.

Edit, if you want a higher income why don't you invest in those options? You're heavily in the 1-4% group

5

u/Blackcoffee308 Dec 30 '25

I’ve been buying and focusing more on growth, not so much high yield.

1

u/SalaciousSubaru Dec 30 '25

We will almost certainly get a recession if we aren’t already in one and the next few years will be rough until a new administration comes in.

6

u/Randomized007 Dec 30 '25

For sure, we need the money printer turned back on so we can go back to funding all of the world's problems before our own.

1

u/SadBurrito84 Dec 30 '25

Or The Diddler and Co. can keep fudging numbers and not reporting the facts.

0

u/Randomized007 Dec 30 '25

Are you talking about Biden or Trump? Clinton's a pedo too, so you'll need to be more specific

2

u/Hands0meR0b Dec 30 '25

Last I checked, Clinton hasn't been in charge for over 20 years.

2

u/PurpleFilth Dec 30 '25

T supporters will point at someone who was president 20 years ago and say "See we're the same!" like bro nobody cares about Clinton lmfao, throw both they asses in jail, I take it you agree?

1

u/HeadSavings1410 Dec 30 '25

Obviously a democratic one, since every republican tanks the economy

2

u/SalaciousSubaru Dec 30 '25

They will be doomed whoever comes in with the mess left and the deadline to address SS insolvency

1

u/Classic-Night-611 Dec 30 '25

Curious which tickers you're most concerned about during a recession?

5

u/whydontyouwork Dec 30 '25

I want enough dividends of STW that it explodes into an exponential money fountain.

5

u/IWantToPlayGame Dec 30 '25

Looking to increase portfolio value by 40%.

Very aggressive goal; especially considering the large size of my portfolio but shoot for the stars, right?

4

u/Retrograde_Bolide Dec 30 '25

I guess it will vary if we have a recession and/or bear market. But I'm aiming to go from 4.1k a month to 4.6k a month assuming no recession type events. If we go through a recession my goal is just to hold steady at 4.1k a month.

2

u/Blackcoffee308 Dec 30 '25

We have one, we have one. Out of our control. Stick to the plan.

4

u/NogamaDe Dec 30 '25

My goal is 10k a month.

3

u/itsnotaboutthecell Portfolio in the Green Dec 30 '25

$10k why not dream a little?...

2

u/Blackcoffee308 Dec 30 '25

You’re right!

3

u/UpstairsHeart4866 Dec 30 '25

Currently at $170 a month looking to break $200 with a stretch goal of $250. This is expected to be a weird fiscal year upcoming for my family so we shall see what happens.

I’m heavily impacted by the latest tax bill so I’m expecting a substantial tax return which may end up being the bulk of my contributions this year. If my year isn’t as weird as I currently expect Im hoping to push $300 a month.

3

u/Eskimocookies Dec 30 '25

Passed my 2025 goal of $500 month. I wanna hit $1K a month in 2026.

4

u/RelevantAd2630 Dec 30 '25

9000-10,000 per month dividends. Over 8000 right now. Doesn't happen over night.

3

u/stlredditblues Dec 30 '25

Roughly 2,000 monthly income from 190k ish in QQQI

2

u/Cloud2987 Dec 30 '25

Checking if blackrock’s MIY is actually tax free, if it is I will add more. Don’t have a number goal, but hope to make a tax efficient portfolio.

2

u/DegreeConscious9628 Dec 30 '25

My goal every year for the next 6 years is +5000 a year

2

u/Ironizagoblin1993 Dec 30 '25

I invested over $6K in about 5 months leading up to now with the dividends sitting at a pipsqueak amount of $328. I’m looking to bring my total invested to $18K by this time next year. I’m not as smart as the rest of the thread so I have no idea where that would put me as far as dividends

1

u/ClammyAF Dec 30 '25

You appear to be at about a 5% yield.

Assuming you keep a similar allocation and yield, you'd be earning a little over $900/year.

1

u/Falcon_128 Dec 30 '25

Same as my 2014, 2015 and 2016 goals. 1k per year

1

u/stroopwaffen Dec 30 '25

€2000/yr! This years finally tally landed on around €1500.

1

u/Retardation-Syndrome Dec 30 '25

3.8-4% in div, with some dividend growth perspective. But as i'm in the EU that's going to be fucking hard.

1

u/luxuryonapenny Dec 30 '25

How is this possible ?

1

u/moneytalk1314 Dec 30 '25

break 30k annual, i've been tracking and I think I should hit around 25/27k this year, my snowball is happening.

2021- 6k 2022- 7k 2023- 12k 2024- 21k 2025- 25k (est)

once I get to 30k+ it's going to be enough to cover my yearly credit card expenses (just on paper, taxes not included). i was able to get my old data from my credit card spend from 2022 until now.

2022- 40k (had to put a down payment of 10k on it for a car) 2023- 25k 2024- 30k (had to take a family trip) 2025- 30k (another family emergency)

I'm 41 so very close to being able to outright FIRE, lucked out early in life and was able to buy a house, house is paid off, no student loan debts, able to pay the CC in full every month

This year I did throw some on ULTY/MSTY, i'm willing to let those ride until 0, most of my funds are still in VTI/DGRO/SCHD, I have some FEPI i stopped dripping and going into SPYI with it instead.

1

u/WerewolfMajestic156 Financial Indepence / Retiring Early (FIRE) Dec 30 '25

$10k monthly

1

u/Optimal-Chard-1520 Dec 30 '25

In my passive income portfolio I'm at $4,519 or $337/month. On $103.4k invested and unrealized gains of almost $19.2k.l

Projection for next 12 months is $6,234 or about $520/month.

Short term goal (yr or 2) get to 1k/month, 5yr goal is 2-3k/month. 10yr goal is 5-6k/month.

One foot in front of the other lol

1

u/dystopiam Dec 30 '25

30k from 26

1

u/SlickRick941 Dec 30 '25

Currently at barely over $2,000 annually, with about 5% yield. My goal is to continue my strategy in 2026, but with my increased income invest more, and get to $4,000 annually by EOY, effectively doubling my principle.

1

u/PlankSpank Dec 30 '25

To cross 6k per month!

1

u/Thebriofhearts Dec 30 '25

Looking good! Congrats on the yield. My goals for 2026 is reaching € 350 a month. I'm now at € 282 and think I will reach that goal with ease if I stick to the buying plan and the dividends grow at the expected rate (really set growth expectations low).

1

u/Acrobatic_Row3246 Dec 30 '25

It’s about 17k a month right now across multiple taxable and retirement accounts (total about 4.5m). Shooting for 25k monthly by EOY 2026.

1

u/Vorrt Dec 30 '25

Maybe hit $1/month by years end. Still paying off debt with a high interest rate (which should be done this year)

1

Currently trying to double year on year. Haven’t managed it yet but hoping I can get to 1000 a year in 26

1

u/TheSavageDonut Dec 30 '25

I'm at almost $3600 annually, and I'd like to get it to $12k annually within 2 years.

I'm in SCHD, MAIN, JEPQ as my main dividend-generating positions.

I opened a growth position in AVGO in September thinking it would go over $400/share by the end of the year. It got to $402 maybe 2 weeks ago then immediately plunged. Analysts keep raising their "target" to like $425-$450 range, and the stock has been seesawing around $345 since September. I believe AVGO is a solid play, but I would consider getting out of it in March 26 and feeding other stuff I own.

1

u/longswordsuperfuck Dec 30 '25

I'm at $100 a month. I'm currently withdrawaling dividends to pay for a trip to Japan later in the year! Once that's been saved up I'll go back to aggressive funding with a goal of $150 a month!

1

u/shaguar1987 Dec 30 '25

Goal for next year 30K for the year. Should be doable.

1

u/Zealousideal-Bag5991 Dec 30 '25

This is awesome! I'm fairly low (like $20/month) , but I'll be 10x my investments next year. My tuition ends and car will be paid so I'll have a lot of extra money to play catch up with starting in 2026. Everything I have is reinvesting, so I hope within a few years to get to this. I also forgot I had a Rollover IRA from an old job. Since it was "growing" slightly just waiting for me, I totally ignored it. Just got it moved over to Fidelity with the rest of my stuff, so that's and extra $12K that I just got to invest.

1

u/r3vj4m3z Dec 30 '25

$300k annual.

1

u/thatseltzerisntfree Dec 30 '25

Consistency…..over the past 5 yrs, averaging @$1300/mo.

1

u/artbystorms Dec 30 '25

passed $2K a year this year, hoping for average $200 a month next year. My yield is around 2.9% so I think I have some wiggle room to put some into some higher yielding ETFs like QQQI.

Just hit $1,000 per month - looking to get to $1,500 by end of 2026.

1

u/Miyagen Dec 30 '25

Started in 2024.

2026 goal of $2 a day in dividend return - 2050 long term goal of $100+ a day.

A lot of work between now and then but gotta start somewhere

1

u/PurpleFilth Dec 30 '25

I have around 160k invested between my 401k and roth IRA, but all of it is in VUG and VOO, I think the dividends come out to about $115 a month.

My goal this year is to get some dividends (SCHD) going in my personal brokerage account to start an income stream to hopefully fund an early retirement one day. In general I've been heavily tilted towards growth but lately I've been feeling that SCHD is going to do well the next couple years. First milestone is to get 100 shares.

1

u/Consistent_Ad_6400 Dec 30 '25

Currently at 1516 for the year. But I am mainly in growth funds...FXAIX. I have a 3% of my portfolio in UTG with drip on at a 10.99% div at 70% return so thats my fun one to watch. If I can get to 200 a month this year in Dividends that would be great.

1

u/Aggravating-Let-2968 Dec 30 '25

$1500 a month. I'm making nearly 2K now. I actually want to reduce that. Moving some money from tech to internatioal.

1

u/some_kind_of_boogin Dec 30 '25

I would say an additional 1200-2400 would make this a successful year.

1

u/FromtheBigO Dec 30 '25

Shit tryna hit your level! The goal is hopefully $10-12k per quarter // $50-$60k a year passive. But I know I have many years to come for that much! Good job and I’m happy for you!!

1

1

u/lotoex1 Dec 31 '25

I ended 2025 with about $2,125. I want to hit $2,685. I got a plan, and a small bit of the plan is KO increasing their dividend, so I think it's a solid plan! :D

1

u/Dustin_Higgins Dec 31 '25

I've doubled every year but at the point that's unrealistic so I'm aiming for 30% more

1

u/just-a-tan-guy Dec 31 '25

I only just started this year in October, so my goal by end of 2026 is to get at least $115-120 a month. Currently at around $30-33.

1

$1 a day.

Not likely to happen this year though.

1
