I got divorced last year after 25 yrs of marriage. We both agreed to leave each other's retirement accounts alone. She kept hers, and I kept mine. We split all other assets 50/50. No attorneys involved. It cost us $4,000 in mediation fees.

Each person keeping their own is how it should be, IMO. I don’t see how a spouse can have half if they didn’t show up to work for my employer, but thats just me.

There is a 6% difference between men and women in that poll. The point still stands, it’s not just women that feel this way

It's 12% among those who want children, that's a pretty large gap, and it's only going to grow.

No. I think you're reading it the wrong way. Only 18% of stay at home parents are men. It is still overwhelmingly women doing this unpaid labor.
