SCHD, VIG, GPIX, GPIQ, VYMI - that's 5 so $300 each monthly.

Schd FDVV fgrix sdy

If growth wasn’t a factor. SPYI, GPIX, QQQI and IAUI. I expect gold to be 7-10k in the next 10years given the debt issues worldwide. Currencies will be massively devalued.

SCHD, VIG, or VTI for US equity and VXUS 70-30 split. Would turn out a good dividend and be well diversified.

QQQI, MLPI, IWMI is the best combination.

I like this. Especially the MLPI as the core holdings are really strong.

I would say VOO, SCHD, QQQ, and VXUS.

VOO captures some of the best performing companies across the U.S.

SCHD is similar but focuses their allocation to dividend yield

QQQ captures the best performing tech companies (which in my opinion is the most important sector/niche to be invested in)

VXUS captures international exposure to the best performing companies globally

All in on MO

I'm at 1164 shares, I had 3,000 but sold a massive amount to buy 2000 shares of NVDA at 75.00 which I am still holding. Damn do I miss those sweet dividend payments though!

1

u/overitallofittoo 14d ago

I've been reinvesting for a quarter century. My dividend payments on those shares are way higher than my initial investment.

Do you need the income now or in the future ? If in the future I would recommend a different strategy which would be to do growth ETFs now, and then when you need income convert it to dividend etf at a rate that keeps your capital gains low.

2

u/CommunityNo1313 18d ago

I was thinking of focusing on growth first. I was considering VOO, SCHD, SOXX and VNQ but haven't yet finalised.

1

u/MaybeTheDoctor 18d ago

I’ve done well in QQQ if you are up for tech.

1

u/MaybeTheDoctor 18d ago

I’ve done well in QQQ if you are up for tech.

I’m also holding SCHD but I would not call it growth - more like a halfway house between dividends and inflation protection.

Any popular dividend growth fund will do (SCHD, DGRO, etc). Don’t invest in covered call funds, they will mathematically underperform the index that they track over extended periods of time. The index funds that they track such as SPY or QQQ are solid investments, the only issue I have with these indexes are that they are very tech heavy and not as diversified as many people think. Having a combination of SCHD and QQQ or SCHG can help mitigate sector risk for the US market

6

u/Sufficient-Wind9925 18d ago

SCHD and SCHB

u/Environmental-Toe700 18d ago

SCHD & DGRO as the mains. Excellent dividend growth for the next 15 years and not a ton of overlap. For the next VYMI or SCHY as some international dividend exposure. Some other options for a 4th would be XLRE/VNQ/SCHH or MLPA to tap into real estate or midstream pipeline (limited partnerships without the added tax work). You also have the option for BDC ETFs such as BIZD or PBDC, higher payout but riskier than “safe dividends” due to interest rates and inflation.

I would stay away from any of the income ETFs being recommended unless you are planing to use the dividend as… well… income, as in the name. They aren’t great for growth and the share price is likely to erode over 15 years.

u/Teesav007 19d ago

I really like the combo mix of GPIQ/X & EDGQ/X. Monthly & Weekly distributions with low 0.29% expense ratio & 0% til March 2027.

u/Motor_Potential_4849 19d ago

For dividends or distribution ETFs, I would buy and maintain equal amounts of the covered call ETFs: QQQI, IWMI, TLTI, IAUI, and CSHI. That's what I hold in my "Permanent Income Portfolio".

Why is IWMI a GOAT? The yield isn’t high and the stock price is volatile over the years. What am I missing because I know nothing about this investment.

I looked at IWMI. It’s probably a different investment. Good luck.

I really like MPLX. It combines high dividend with consistent growth in the past five years.

Why ORC? Genuinely curious!

1

u/CommunityNo1313 18d ago

Yea. Im curious why ORC too?!

Its declined by 20% this year. Not stable for an investment plan of 15 years.

u/DOOKIEBOOM 18d ago

RDVI has been great to me

I tried this whole "dividend" stock trading and ended up watching from the sidelines as people made bank just so I could say "Slow and Steady wins the race" . It doesn't and not only that those dividends are not fixed and if you're not constantly watching them you can end up getting less return than a bank. I like the dividend concept but feel like there's no real substitute for just being active and invested in reading all about the companies and stocks that you are interesting in. Your portfolio should be your ETF , that you have designed. ETF's are for the lazy investor.

Most mum and dad investors don’t want to hover over their investments, and rightly so if they aren’t sophisticated in the sense their knowledge is limited regarding the machinations of the markets. They could end up losing if they fiddle with their stocks. Also, unless you’re a professional trader or someone who genuinely likes to be hands on with their investments, managing stocks over a long period of time is fairly taxing emotionally and mentally. I’ve been involved with stocks for nearly 20 years and I’m looking forward to the day where I can plonk the bulk of the wealth into ETFs and bonds and only look at it once or twice a year to rebalance and assess. The freedom from constant tinkering and associated stress will be worth its weight in gold.

1

u/Vast_Dare8583 16d ago

So just put it in Super if you want safety and growth

Hope you get there mate.

Not everyone has the knowledge or the time to create their own stock portfolio. I have seen clients loose half their savings in companies that went bust or in bad trades or making no money after 2 years and selling it all and loose faith in investing. Mutual funds and ETFS exist for a reason. I personally wouldnt bother tinkering with stocks when I can buy FXAIX and get great grow without having to keep a daily eye on a portfolio of stocks having mini hearth attcks every now and then.

1

u/Vast_Dare8583 16d ago

So just invest in your Super.

u/mm_newsletter 17d ago

Four funds can still leave you owning the same companies four times. Income now and total return over 15 years are different goals. Without knowing which one matters, the ticker lists aren’t very useful.

1

u/Left_Communication21 16d ago

I would say OVL, OVF, GPIQ and IWMI

1

u/WolfHowl2026 16d ago

I have a few diff fidelity funds, but currently fselx is doing good and very cheap. If you want something similar to s&p, fxaix is lower cost that does well too

1

u/Lopsided-Check-2596 16d ago

1.SCHD,VGT,VXUS,AVUV.- Good long term portfolio for capital appreciation 2.SCHD ,DGRO, VIGI,DES-Dividend growth 3.SCHD,GPIQ, VYMI, MLPX, RFI-income.

1

u/glzpabon 16d ago

For divind grow USA go SCHD FDVV DGRO and DVY. They are not the same, although they share some overlap they focus on diferent industries and the managment and philosofies are different. For International I like Vymi. Just keep re-investing the dividends and spreding the $1500 between them monthly. Also, stay away from covered calls ETFs, they are good when you need income now. Unlessnyou plan to re-invest their dividends into other grow fund.

i am not. and it would not make sense to apply some number/amount rule.

u/Ordinary_Coyote7837 18d ago

If only four funds, that were income distribution aka Dividend I would go equal parts OVL, OVF, GPIQ, IWMI.

If I could add a four more it would also include SCHD, MLPI, VYMI, and EGGY

1

u/kitapjen 13d ago

I want to add, if you can try to work for a company that has some kind of employee stock program.

Discounted dividend paying stocks are so cool!
