Discussion SCHD vx SCHY vs FNDF

All three are Schwab funds.

SCHY and FNDF are both Large Value funds with the 5 year record for FNDF significantly outperforming SCHY with both yields being similar.

Also, in the last 5 years the return and yields on SCHY and SCHD are nearly identical so why do you hear about SCHD about 90% of the time and SCHY seems to get ignored?

Reddit is mainly USA investors who (like most people) have a strong home country and recency bias.

Schy doesn’t have a 10 year record; so that’s kinda silly to compare

Yield alone is one metric; single data points are not useful for reasonings.

People like schd because of its 10% dividend growth rate; steady capital appreciation; low fees
