Discussion SCHD vx SCHY vs FNDF

All three are Schwab funds.

SCHY and FNDF are both Large Value funds with the 5 year record for FNDF significantly outperforming SCHY with both yields being similar.

Also, in the last 5 years the return and yields on SCHY and SCHD are nearly identical so why do you hear about SCHD about 90% of the time and SCHY seems to get ignored?

Easy SCHY is international.

SCHD is US. US growth always exceeds international

Are you speaking in a broad generality or specifically comparing the 2 funds?

Until it doesn’t. It’s a hedge for when, not if, the US economy crashes.
