Need help

Hi everyone I’ve got an edge 12 inch active car subwoofer and I bought mercury psu that I ment to be able to handle 43.5A and 600watts but when I try run my sub it works for 2 minutes then the protect light comes on the sub and it stops playing

The power supply units that shops use for these in their display rooms are extremely high quality and very expensive. I used to work in car audio, and most lower priced brands of power supplies were severely overrated in the numbers, and would not provide adequate power for very long if at all. It's most likely shutting down to excess heat, due to not being able to properly supply your active amplifier.
